Snowball trotted around the den. "Puppy back ride!"

Hailey giggled then fell asleep on snows back.

Snowball layed down and acted as a bed.

Katie and celestine laid down beside snow as well.

Shadow nuzzled Hailey. "Just so cute"

"yeah she is. goodnight sweety," celestine said with a smile and went to sleep.

Shadow fell asleep too. The next morning Snowball woke up and kissed Hailey awake. "Morning cutie!"

Hailey giggled. And sat up and pounced off of snow. She walked over to celestine and tried to nudge her awake. It was obvious she was hungry.

Snowball poked Celestine. "Mommy, Hailey's hungry"

Celestine rolled onto her side with a yawn and hailey began drinking.

Snowball walked over to Katie. She licked her ears. "Morning! Wanna play with Hailey after breakfast?"

"sure," she said with a yawn.

Snowball went over to Hailey to see if she was finished.

Hailey smiled as she got in a play stance while looking at snow. You then hear hunters coming close. "i know she couldn't have gotten far. She is just a pup after all," one of them said. Hailey whimpered and hid behind snow shivering. "Hailey whats wrong sweety?" celestina asked. "they meanies. They killed my broders and sisturs," she said still shaking.

Snowball huddled around Hailey. Shadow stood watch at the entrance.

You notice them come out of the woods outside the cave. One of them looked into the cave. "There she is," he said. The other took out his gun. "Out of the way wolves," he said.

Shadow grabbed the rifle and pulled it from the hunter's hands.

"Stupid mutt!" he said and kicked shadow hard.

Shadow fell over in pain. Snowball growled at the hunter.

"The pup is acting pretty brave," he said with a smirk. Celestine growled and tackled the human with a growl.

Snowball grabbed Hailey and ran.

The other hunter shot at celestine getting her on her hind leg. She whimpered falling off and they chased after snow. "Shadow can you chase them? my leg is hurt," she said.

"Not a problem" Shadow went after them. Snowball hid with Hailey inside a log.

The hunters caught up to snow and one of them yanked her up. "where is our dog you mutt," he said.

Snowball bit him on the hand.
