"It's all good." he said He wanted to make sure nothing happened in the short walk anyway, he didn't know why he cared so much though.

"Well. We should head out of this forest before it starts to rain. Kind of looks like it..." She looked up to see the sky had turned slightly dark from clouds when it was just getting sunny. "Dark up there... Just a bit..."

"Yeah, come on then, don't want to test the truth of if witches melt in rain." he said smiling gently. He started to the direction he could smell she had come from.

"That's just a rumour. Rain can't harm me. Unless it's hail which is like rain..." She started to walk, avoiding any bush, tree or pointy things as she held the basket in her hand. "Uh... We didn't introduce ourselves, did we? How very rude of me..." She blushed as she was supposed be a lady, but really wasn't. She couldn't remember either if she had... "My name's Tejina."

"I believe we did, but I'm not sure either." he agreed. "My name is Angel." he walked along side her making sure she didn't trip, not caring if he hit anything.

"Now that I think about it... Maybe we hadn't since I was stuck in a tree... I'll remember that name, though. Now that I know." She sweat dropped at that as she continued to walk, spotting her light teal cabin with the violet roof in the distance. "It's a nice name. Short for anything?"

"No, but it is a new name, after becoming a vampire, I changed my name." he replied seeing her cabin ahead. "It's a nice place you've got here."

"Ahh. Okay. So almost like a rebirth... New form with a new name. Makes sense." She smiled as she saw it as well. "It's not much. Just a large box with a small bedroom. It looked dull on the outside so I painted it." She had another reason why, too, but wouldn't say yet.

"Yeah, a rebirth, my old life wasen't the best, and becoming a vampire was like an awakening of common sense and such." He wanted to know if there was another reason, but didn't ask.

"Yeah. I suppose being human can be a bit boring at times... Depending what they do. I call them mortals, being a witch." She paused as a memory came to her. "As a child, I was told there was a rumour that some witches can live a long time, but I'm not sure about that..." She kind of hoped...

"It's true, I've known some witches from off the Island that lived at least two mortal lifetimes, maybe more." he didn't want to remember what he did. The ghost of his past would forever haunt him. "I'm interested in how witches do things like potions, I've always wanted to watch but the coupleof witches I asked basically bit my head off."

"There were witches off the island? I thought they all lived here where they would feel at home. Unless they were advanced or modern..." She wasn't sure what was out there. She didn't even know of the place called Salem where witches far and wide went to practice.
Her thoughts were interrupted by sudden shyness. "I... I don't mind showing anyone who's interested. In fact you're the first one... Though..." She paused, thinking. "I have to warn you, I'm kind of just beginning... I recently just got my license to practice magic after my 16th birthday around... Two months ago."

"Yeah, theres, beings of all kinds all over the place." he wanted to take her up on her offer, but something, he didn't know. "You'd do that?" he asked. "It's fine, I have nothing to fear, as long as I don't get too close to garlic, or stab myself with a wooden stake. The sunlight doesn't bother me either, doesn't even make me too different, makes me seem like a ghost from far away is all."

"I never knew that... My family's been living on this island for centuries. Not one of them was ever allowed to leave the island either... They were the chosen ones... The ones who had to protect the land from harm. At least according to legend..." She wondered if she was one of them, too. "Anyway. No garlic or pointy sticks. Good to know." She paused as she opened the door to her cabin and stepped in, opening the curtains and windows. "I always thought sunlight would melt vampires. That's what books say... Hmm... Anyway this is my home..." It was very messy and dusty with things all over the place.

"Seems like you've had fun in here." he commented on the inside. "the sunlight thing is only a myth created to make mortals feel better."

"Eh... It's always messy in here... Old habit..." She blushed at the mess and tried to tidy up a bit. "It kind of seemed like it would be something mortals would write about or think up. They scare easily and are very superstitious about everything. Then again, I'm sure everyone has their own fear and beliefs." The mess was increasing rather than decreasing the more she tried... House work was never her thing.

He helped her a bit and organized what he could and it left a nice neat place of undusty wood. "It takes a bit of pracise." he said talking about what he'd just done. "Yeah that is true, everyone is different too."

After a while the place was decently clean with a comfortable mess. "Yup. Everything does. And everyone is. Some people may seem to have the same personality, but there's always a difference somewhere..." As Tejina finished tiding up her small kitchen, a small, black, furry thing with a long tail came into the main room of the cabin, mewing.

He noticed the place getting tidier and then this black furry creature with a long tail, he smiled at it when it came into the main room mewing. "Nice pet you have here." he commented.

"Thanks. She's my cutey little kitty. All witches need some kind of companion. Her name is Mikomi. Miko for short usually." The little black kitten walked into the sunlight and looked more like a dark grey as she rubbed up against the new person, not feeling afraid. ~Mew!~

He smiled at the kitty and bent down slowly to gently rested his hand onher head, petting her softly. "She seems nice." he said as he pet her some more, then he stood back up, looking back up to Tejina. "So you say your family has protected this island?"

"Yeah. Though, she has her angry and annoyed moments." The kitten purred as she was being pet then escaped into the kitchen to get breakfast. "According to legend anyway... My parents and grandparents weren't as strong as them. They had said it must happen rarely that a witch from the family tree has phenomenal powers. Since that year, no one in my family could reproduce those powers."

"Oh, that is interesting, it's the first time I've heard of a witch having that strong of powers, must be an amazing feeling being that strong but not getting overwhelmed by the feeling of power to be corrupt." he thought about what that must be like

"I wouldn't know... My great grandparents were the last known to have those powers and even though they saved the world, the residents were still scared of them and wanted them executed for being what they were. Witches... Ever since, all witches on this island denied who they were. So maybe that could be the reason for not having those powers. Lack of practice... Unless the power runs in them every other generation or something..."

"It's quite possible, I wouldn't know, I knew of your family, but I didn't know them personally, I don't really talk to people much here, maybe I should start." he said laughing lightly.
