He sighed as he stopped and held her against his bare chest "Sweet maiden i know nothing about medicine and you need to be healed..." he stood holding the girl as the wind blew from behind blowing his hair in front of his face "please tell me where your village is i dont want you to be in pain anymore..."

She drew her eyebrows together more concerned for his life, then the pain she was in. After a moment, though, she acquiesced, "It's...on the river, near a tall waterfall. Do you know the one I mean?" Her fingers were squeezing his shoulder unconsciously from a mixture of pain and worry.

"yes..." he said softly as he darted towards the waterfall he reached the village and held her close to him as he cautiously walked towards the gate.

She looked towards the village and could already see the archers readying their bows. The Elf called out, "Please, don't shoot!" They hesitated and one of them called down in a commanding voice that made her wince. It was her father. "Sora, what are you doing with that damnable Dark Elf."

Sora looked at her companion and then back to her father, "Please, father! He has saved me, do not harm him." Several other arches seemed to appear around them. One was an elf much older the Sora that looked at her with disapproval. He nodded to the other guards and she was taken out of his arms and he was surrounded, "I am certain that he would not mind answering a few questions, then."

He looked down at his daughters foot, "You will have to answer some yourself."

He watched as the man looked at Soras foot, "I will answer as much as i can sir..." he said softly as he worried about Sora.

With a glare for the Dark Elf he gestured to the guards, "Take them to my home. I will speak with them both there." He pulled another aside and told him to get the healer. With that he left them and they were carried into the village, the elves houses located in the trees. She was surprised of how her father handled it, if she had not been involved though. Sora did not want to think of what would have happened.

He nodded following the guards to the house where he stood waiting for Sora`s father.

She had been sat down in a chair and her foot was elevated. Soon a healer was kneeling by her side and examining the broken toes and muttering under her breath, likely about what needed to be done to straighten them. Sora was more then a little afraid for Agoni. What would her father do?

Just then her father came in and stood before the two, arms crossed over a broad chest. His eyes shifted first from his daughter, and then to the Dark Elf. When he spoke it was to his daughter, "Sora, explain to me why you have brought an enemy into our home?"

She seemed to shrink into herself, parents had a knack for doing that, "I was at the lake when he found me. Agoni didn't attack me though, he told me to come back home before his people came looking for him. They found me though and...." She shook her head, "I don't even want to think of what their real intent was. I tried to kick one of them and that's when I broke my toes on his leg armor. Agoni risked himself to carry me back here."

Agoni looked at her worried about her broken bones more then his life, he turned to sora`s father and bowed "I mean no harm, just being a gentlemen...." he said as he rose back to standing upright.

He looked back at the Dark Elf, obviously unhappy with the situation. Finally, though, he made a decision. "Since you brought my daughter home to me, you may leave. If, however, we see you again we will not be so forgiving." When he turned to his daughter his voice was much firmer, "I will allow you to say your farewell to him, but I will not hear of this man, or any other of his kind again."

The healer seemed to have finished her work for the night. She would likely return to examine the toes the next day, but for now she left quietly. Sora's father also left, to give with the clear understanding that when he returned, the Dark Elf would be gone. She looked relieved at the outcome, but there was still fear in her. Quickly she grabbed a map that was laid on a near by table and motioned him over, "I will show you the place I told you of earlier. You can stay hidden there for as long as you need to, Agoni."

Agoni frowned "yes sir" he said firmly in a respectful tone as he looked at sora watching the healer and her father leave. He smiled as sora got the map and showed him the location "I will stay there sora... when you have healed please meet me there..." he said softly taking her hand as he leaned over softly kissing her forehead. he then turned to leave slowly letting go over her hand not wanting to leave.

She tried not to release his hand. She did not want to let him leave. Sora knew that she would have to though. "I will. As soon as I am healed enough to walk, I will." The woman could not help but to blush when he kissed her, as childish as that might have been. He was not like his people, and there was something about him that made her want to help him, want to spend time with him. Perhaps she could even learn more about his people and bridge the gap that was yawning between the races.

He walk catiously out of the village then darted to the location Sora showed him, he mad himself comfortable and rested in a cave only leaving to hunt.

As soon as she could slip away, once her foot was healed, she left the village. Her father had expressly forbidden this, but she would not heed that. She wanted to see Agoni again, she wanted to make sure that he was alright. Even though she did not really understand why, she had to know that he had made it to the cave.

Once she arrived she entered cautiously, calling out to him so that he would know she was not an enemy of his, "Agoni, are you here?" Her eyes had not adjusted to the dimmer light of the cave, so she had trouble telling if anyone was there at all, or even if they had been recently.

Agoni walked back to the cave after hunting he smiled seeing Sora "My Maiden..." he said smiling at her as he walked closers holding the game over his shoulder.

She turned back to look at him and smiled, seeming relieved to see that he was alright, "Agoni," She paused not certain what she had wanted to say. Sora was taken happy to see him, and she found herself wanting to throw her arms around him. Why though? He was suppose to be an enemy, but he had saved her from his own people. He had taken her back to her village without fear of his own life. The woman stared at him, shifting a little uncomfortably before she finally asked lamely, "Do you need any help? Or anything?"

Agoni smiled leaving the game on a rock, he moved closer holding her in his arms. He kissed her forehead softly as he held her "I have missed you..." he whispered softly hoping she missed him too.

Her own arms moved around his waist and she rested her head against his chest, "I have missed you as well. I was so worried that my father had told you that you were free to go for my benefit, but not because he meant to keep that promise." Sora let her eyes close as she listened to his heart beat. "What are we going to do? I can't keep my absence hidden every time I leave, but I want to see you."

"i will stay here as long as you want me too......" he said smiling as he held her close.

She hugged him a little more tightly, "Thank you. We.." Sora paused as she realized what she was starting to say. She barely knew the man that held her and she was considering leaving the whole world she knew behind. She moved her head back to look up at him, "We have to make plans though. I cannot keep sneaking out to meet you. My father will be watching, and he will kill you the next time he sees you."

He looked sadly at her "we could start meeting at night... that way no one can see me with you..." he said holding her as he kissed her head softly.

She closed her eyes when his lips touched her head before she pushed up on her toes to brush her lips against his. She pulled back from the kiss after a moment, still not opening her eyes, "Why are you so willing to risk yourself for me, Agoni?" The same question was directed at herself in her own mind.

"hmmmm im not sure.... all the women in my trible fail in comparison to your beauty..." he said softly as he looked at her smiling.

She returned the smile, "I cannot say that I've seen another as handsome as you, nor so kind as you have been." Reluctantly she untangled herself from his embrace, "I should not keep you from your meal, though." She looked over at the animal he had caught, "You seem to be quite a skilled hunter."

"I do what i need to to survive.... Would you like to stay and dine with me...." he said gathering some wood and built a fire he quickly gutted and skinned the small beast, he began to cook the animal over the fire hoping she would stay and eat with him.
