She nodded and took a seat on the cavern floor only a short distance from him. Her eyes watched curiously as he prepared the dinner that he would share with her. Sora could not help the smile that was on her lips, "I think that is something that all of us share."

The Elf sighed after a moment though, "Why were those guards after you, Agoni?" She sat with her legs crossed and her hands in her lap as she watched him. Everything about the man seemed to fascinate her.

"I ran away...." he said avoiding her question, he watched the meat cook hearing it pop and sizzle the smell was divine. He turned and smiled at her lovingly "It is probably best if you didnt know..." he said softly.

She nodded slowly, deciding that it was probably best to accept that answer for the time being. Really she just wanted to spend the time with him. After a moment of silence she spoke again though, "That smells wonderful." Her gaze moved to the fire where the meat was cooking.

he smiled as he took out his dagger and cut the meat the see if it was fully cooked "Im sorry my sweet maiden.... i have no dishware.... im use to living of the land so im fine eating this way..." he grabbed a sharp stick and made a kabob out of the meat and handed it to her "I hope you are alright with this..." he said softly.

She took the stick from him with a smile to him. "I do not mind," she paused, "as long as I am with you." The girl wanted nothing more then to be where she was. Even know she did not want to return to her village. Things would just get harder, she would not be able to return as frequently as she had hoped.

He smiled "Im glad you want to see me... I like seeing you too" he said as he cut a piece of meat from the animal using his fingers to eat it, trying not to be messy.

She took a small bite of the meat and smiled at him. After a moment she spoke again, "This is delicious." Sora watched him and shifted a little, as she took another bite. "I never did get the chance to thank you, Agoni."

"thank me.... what for..." he ask softly looking at her "Im glad you are enjoying the meat" he smiled as he spoke.

"For...for saving me." Her voice was a whisper. Who knows what would have happened if he had not been there. She can't imagine that it would have been a happy ending. "And thank you for risking yourself to take me to my village."

He smiled blushing softly "Any gentlemen should protect a beautiful women..." he said softly trying not to show his blush as he ate the meat.

She blushed and ate in silence for a short time. Her eyes were lowered to the caverns floor as she thought of what she should do to ensure that she would be able to see Agoni. Even if she were to slip away at night, her father would eventually find out. There had to be something that she could do, that they could do, that would keep that from happening. More then once the thought of leaving the village crossed her mind, but she was not sure she could do that.

He looked up at her still smiling "What are you thinking about my maiden..." he asked softly as he sat beside her as he continued to eat.

She watched Agoni move closer to her and paused in her eating, "One day, my father will find out. No matter how careful and secretive I am about when I slip away to see you. He is a smart man. I don't want to stop though. So...we have to figure something else out. Leaving at night is only a temporary solution." Sora barely resisted the urdge to lean against him. It would be awkward with them both eating.

He nodded "very true... i will think of something" he said turning kissing her forehead softly then continued eating.

She smiled at him an continued eating herself. Questions raced through her mind that were directed at herself, but that she had no answer for. She wanted only to be with him, there were no other answers that would work.

he smiled as he stood walking over to a small spring in the cave and washed his hands and knife.

There was a sound outside of the cave. Sora stood and doused the fire immediately, before she made her way quietly towards the cave mouth, hiding behind a stalagmite and just barely peeked around it.

A voice called out, it was her father, "I know you are in there Sora. Why don't you just come out now? We will...deal with your friend."

She ducked back behind the rock and looked towards Agoni worridly. Her father. He knew she was here, and he knew that she was with the other Elf. How had he found out? Carefully she slipped back towards him and whispered, "We can't let him come in here and find us. We have to leave." Her eyes turned towards the black depths of the cave. It continued on, but she did not know where it lead.

(its all good :3) Agoni smiled "i can see fine in the dark ill carry you my sweet maiden" he whispered moving silently to her side picking her up kissing her softly then darted silently threw the cave leaving only the meat and doused fire behind.

She blinked as he scooped her up and carried her again. clinging to him as he did. All she could manage was to whisper a thank you to him, though she scarcely understood why she was doing so. Why did she run from her father. She could simply say that Agoni had no been here, that she had only been exploring a cavern she had always loved so dearly. Then, however, her lie would be discovered. Agoni would have been long gone by that point though.

"I do not know where this leads. Hopefully, though, it will be far enough away that neither of our people will be able to find us again." She was amazed at how gracefully he moved through the darkness with her as a burden. His people were far more amazing then she had ever though they might be.

he moved silently threw the deep dark cave slowing his steps listening closely to make sure no one was following or trying to follow.

Her own ears strained to hear sounds of pursuit, and they were there. Her father would not give up. They had to do something, think quickly. Sora looked searchingly around in the darkness, but could pick nothing out. "Agoni," She was whispering, hoping that it would not carry to far, "maybe you should leave me. My father wont likely pursue just you." Even as she said it she wanted to take it back. If he left here here, then she would never see him again. The Elf hugged him more tightly as she thought of that possibility.

Agoni turned his head looking down at her "I.... I dont want to lose you...." he said softly kissing her in the darkness his eyes glowing a soft blue.

She returned the kiss before murmuring, "I don't want to lose you either. Where will we go though?" There was concern there, etched on her face and edging her voice, "Can you see a way out of here?"

"you will be able to see when there is an exit my maiden..." he whispered softly as he walked holding her "i see perfect in the dark as in the light" he said smiling knowing she couldnt see his smile he continued to walk threw the maze of the cavern for a long while before he stopped setting her down holding her hand in his "i need to rest..." he said softly as he moved them close to a wall and sat leaning against it "will you be ok if we rest for a while" he said softly moving her to his lap holding her to keep her warm.

She nodded when he sat her down and then pulled her into his lap. "Yes, yes I will be. As long as you are with me, Agoni." The woman seemed to curl up in his lap, enjoying the feel of his arms around her, and the care he showed for her. She was not used to such treatment.
