Contest; winner gets bragging rights

so describe to me the worst tattoo you have ever seen, maybe even post a picture- just make sure the picture doesn't disobey the Terms Of Service.

I have three examples.

1. Someone got a tattoo of Stephenie Meyer on her arm, but the teeth were shaded so much they were mostly black, the mouth curled too much and the smile had too much wrinkling going on in the corners. Her left eye was significantly lower than the right, and instead of doing an open contour, the artist curved the skull so it looked like she was missing most of her head.

2. A unicorn humping a dolphin with a rainbow behind them... enough said. Bonus points for making the unicorn look like a unicorn and not a horse with a horn, cloven hooves and all.

3. The phrase 'what dont kill you just makes you more stronger', spelling errors and fail grammar included.

So tell me General discussion regulars, what is the worst tattoo you have ever seen?

Also discuss

I think that the lady with the "Gold Palace" tattoo should be mentioned here. I hate when people get bad tattoos. It's an insult to the art, really. It's like those people who can't write that think they're going to be a famous author some day.

I think anyone who gets their significant others on their arm, or just someone that they love. That relationship could break up at any time, and then you will have that name stuck on your arm all your life. That is, unless you want to get the surgery to get it off :U

My dad's friend's name is Bob. He got the letter "B" on each of his butt cheeks, one on each. So..it said "BOB"...ew.
One I saw online was of a monkey's behind on a guy's stomach, and his belly button was the monkey's behind as well.

People are stupid.

Personally I'd have to say any of those full body tattoo's people have gotten, it's just creepy. And to think about how it will look years down the road when they age, yea even less appealing than it is now. Then there are sleeves, not all sleeves, cause some look pretty wicked but the ones that have just randomly thrown together junky tattoo's.

I hate random sleeves like that too or those "artists" that don't know how to ink outlines and they come out all blurry and nasty looking.

Thank you for using logic <3

That means you will probably never get a shameful tattoo forever scarring your body

It's getting annoying how often you hear teenagers saying 'I wanna be a tattoo artist', but not only do they not practice drawing, they don't do any research into how a tattoo is made, or how the trade works. It's sad really.

Yeah, I hear that a lot. It's especially annoying when they can not draw a stick figure. Kids thing it's all done with a stencil or at least the people I knew. The "artists" part is there for a reason. Personally, I would be horrified if I was an artist and really messed up someone's skin.

I think that the worst one I've ever heard of, is the people who get Robert Pattinson tattooed on their arm. (also I think it's awesome that when I googled his name to check my spelling Robot Unicorn Attack was above him on the auto complete)

I actually heard this from my stepdad. :XD At one of the military communal showers, he saw a Master Sergeant with a tattoo of a cartoon devil with a pitchfork on his behind. Everyone in the showers steered clear of him.

I once saw someone with 666 tattooed on their face.

I've seen a lot of really gross tramp-stamps, which I think are tacky.

And then of course, I saw someone with lyrics from like Simple Plan or something with "your" and "you're" used incorrectly.

And I know that some one who happened to be sitting in front of me not only had a tramp stamp but also was wearing some brightly colored underwear. Like, how do you not feel your undies sticking out? ;(

I know a girl whose dating a guy with "Hungry" tattooed across his stomach...really? do people seriously think about these things I mean really ><
My boyfriends sister got a cover-up of her baby daddy's name with the one of her current boyfriend and I was appalled. I mean I love my boyfriend but I would NEVER get his name permanently on my body.

There is an awesome website of terrible tattoo's out there on the interwebs. I think its part of the people of walmart websites.

My sister got Winnie the Pooh tattooed on her leg with her daughter's birthday, which isn't so bad in theory, only it doesn't look like Winnie the Pooh. Her friend was "training to be a Tattoo Artist" and it looks so bad. I feel bad for her, but luckily it's on her leg and she's not the shorts or dress-wearing type.

I have to say that getting a currently-famous person's face or name tattooed on oneself is one of the worst, a person can be famous now, but what if in the future they screw their life up? Become a criminal or worse? And you've got that person's face or name scribbled on your body... it's a shame. Think before you ink!

Oh my gosh in the shop I used to work at there was this huge bet. We were joking to this guy that he wouldn't sell his forehead. Guess what? He went online and sold his forehead on ebay stating that he would tattoo any business there for publicity. Sadly it was a porno shop that won. xD He did it. We haven't seen him around for a while. Oo

I also find that people who get direct quotes in other languages to be pretty entertaining. Especially when they are spelled wrong or the lettering is shifted to form another phrase or word. I still remember one of our regulars coming in, a tattoo on his left arm having indian symbols (we didn't do that one) One of our other clients looked at him going "Why do you have "proud virgin woman" tattoo'd on your arm?" Sad day indeed.

My mom has a tattoo like that, on her calf of a care bear. My cousin is named Kari and people called her Care Bear, but she died when she was little so my mom got the tattoo. Yet the guy who drew it was like "I've never even seen a care bear before".

...really? Then don't even do it! I think it's partly my mother's fault as well. She knew the artist had never seen one before, yet was ready to get his shitty drawing on her permanently.

I thank the goodness that I know I would want to change a tattoo every other day - which is why I've never gotten one. But even if I had I have a good friend that is a fantastic tattoo artist and she will be doing my tattoo if I ever get one.

And MAN! Have I seen some awful tramp stamps - why!? And I don't believe in tattooing someone's NAME on your BODY! *oi* *ug*

hmm well, I don't really understand the people who get a tattoo for the sake of having one.. I think it should be a bit more meaningful than that, especially if it's gonna be on you forever.

Anyways, my friend got a butterfly tattoo on her ankle, except it doesn't look like a butterfly at all. its just two curved lines (kinda like new moons) put together, but weirder. and one day when we were on our bikes going to my house, my dad saw it and said "hey, don't come into the house, you got some oil stains on your ankle" hahaha xD it was funny cause she was like "where I don't see it..." and my dad seriously thought it was oil and got her a rag to rub it off with.. never laughed so much in my life.

Lady Gaga tattoo
Not only is it a tatoo OF Lady Gaga, it's a terrible tattoo.

Stars. Cupcakes. Chinese symbols. Treble clefs. Fairies. Roses. The tattoo artist I go to refuses to do anything like that, because he's so sick of them.

Boyfriend/ girlfriend names. My friend's boyfriend got her name tattooed on his arm after THREE MONTHS of them being together. A month later, it was over. Now he has "Josie" written on his arm forever, inside a big red heart. It's also an awful tattoo with no depth. Sort of looks like one of those fake tattoos that you get with a piece of bubble gum.

Personally, I love tattoos, but I believe that it has to be art. Or meaningful, like a commemorative tattoo (which mine is). I'm also not a fan of stars, hearts or flowery tattoos because they're a bit unoriginal, but that's just me xD

People don't have class any more. That died long ago. =P

What's even worse is that there are people that are willling to tattoo bad tattoos onto others. It's like they have no pride for their art form.
