I'd be in trouble if they had Pac Man. I'd sit there and just play it all day. I love it. They should make one that has Mene NPCs. My mind is blank right now with idea for that though.

The thing is, those classic arcade games, they bought as a pack, with pac-man unavailable. I'm sure if Mene had the money, and if it was available to buy, then they probably would.

Yes, we can't just "get" Pacman. The retro games did come in a package and were bought by the site's previous owner just so we'd have some games, as we had none at all at that time.

We won't be getting any other games of that sort though, all others will be built in-house and have a Mene theme. So maybe one day we might have a Mene version of Pacman, but we'll never have the game itself as that would be hideously expensive.

By expensive I mean to be able to have the game on the site and to be able to earn gold from it. You have to bear in mind that we can't just drop a game into the site and expect everything to work. It would have to be recoded to make it compatible with our software, unhackable and be made linkable to our gold-earning system, and those kind of over-hauls can be horribly costly, especially with a copywritten game.

If mene did one day decide to make their own version of Pac Man then I vote for Afrodonkey rocketing around eating underwear while dodging little Peeblos xD

I don't know enough about Mene to suggest any way they can make a mene version of it

but it would still be awesome

haha... I can see it now... yumeh -pacman nomming kibble and running from afrodonkey clones and nomming sardines scares them away with bad breath giving you a chance to eat some ass-sparkles for bonus points. *hides before being smacked by jelly*

I'm quite curious what the current pacman copyright is. If it's anything like tetris it'd be a tough one to clone.

Figured they'd let the copyright die by now... that games OLD... and there's already a million versions of it...

It might be even tighter than teris because I ahve NEVER seen a pac-man like game aside from pac-man, but I've seen millions of tetris games

Are you surprised that Mickey Mouse is still under copyright? He's older than my grandparents.

Pacman is only 30 years old. Most of the people who created it are probably still alive and earning money off of it. I think that's fair.

It'd be great if Mene got it, but I'm currently addicted to Tetris~ ^^

I would love a mene version of Pac-man.
