(Ok, so I'll definitely change up this post when I get a chance, but lets get this underway!)

CONCERTS!

A lot of us have been to some, and I've been to a lot more than some. Its given me some great insight to what makes a good concert, and I've seen some great bands perform live.

But what makes a good concert? Good bands of course!

One of the most intricate parts of putting together a good concert is combining bands that work well together in the same concert, to keep those attending entertained!

So lets explore your minds, and see who you would put together if you were to make your own "Dream Concert".

Share some experiences. Who was good live? Who was bad?

This thread is all about concerts, so get them posts in.

Well so far the only concert I've been to was seeing Mr Hudson, and that was amazing. Right up front and meeting him afterwards. Epicness just doesn't even describe it <3

The support band, The Electric Duo was not overly good in my opinion. One of them badly mixed a bunch of pop songs while the other just pranced around the stage. The one thing that was good was their epic neon suits. I think I have a picture of them somewhere xD

I'll be seeing Newton Faulkner, Professor Green and Maroon 5 over the next four months though, so it's all good.

Two bands that I think would go great together would be Franz Ferdinand and The Kaiser Chiefs.

I think an epic concert would be Muse, One Republic, and headlining 30 Seconds to Mars.

I think that concert would be just amazing.

Not so fond on 30 Seconds To Mars. But Muse and One Republic would be pretty sweet. Just Muse in general, they're epic <3

Calvin Harris and Basshunter would be pretty awesome

I've seen 30 Seconds to Mars twice live, and met the band. They are insanely good live.

Ooh, did you get their autographs?

The people that I met would be: Mr Hudson, Raphael Mann and Joy Joeseph *nod*

Got them on facebook too xD

I did indeed. I have a CD with their autographs on the cover. I wanted to get my copy of Fight Club signed, but wasn't too keen on taking the movie to the concert and chancing breaking it.

I bought the CD at the concert for fairly cheap, then had it signed by the band. I still have it.

The venue that Mr Hudson was playing at didn't have the option to buy any of his merchandise, though I would love his Straight No Chaser album.

The only CDs I have are both of Calvin Harris'. I'd love to get him to sign them one day, I just need to wait for his next tour.

Well, another concert I'd love to see would have to be:

Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation and Apocalyptica.

I meet so many bands and hardly ever get things signed. XD I'm more interested in talking to them because I think that if the music is interesting then the artist that wrote it must be. So far I've found it to be true. I've also became friends with some bands through just talking to them and not being all "fan girl". I just find people in general interesting.

As for my concert line up...well if it was pop, I'd want to see Backstreet boys, Britney Spears, and Destiny's Child. For a alternative/rock show, 30 seconds to Mars, Taking Back Sunday, and Taproot. Yeah, their music doesn't mesh so well but I love the bands. I would love to see Taking Back Sunday and Brand New co-headling but that will probably never happen no matter how many people want to see it. Taproot and Ashes of Soma always put on a good show together as well. I just have too many to chose just one line up.

I wouldn't mind seeing Tinchy Stryder and Kanye West doing a show together, possibly with Example too xD

I saw Cartel, Kill Hannah, One, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Flyleaf, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish, Anberlin, Buckcherry, Hawthorne Heights, 30 Seconds to Mars, Three Days Grace, Taking Back Sunday, Papa Roach, and My Chemical Romance at one concert, the Buzz Bake Sale in 2006.

The Buzz Bake Sale in West Palm Beach, Florida is an amazing show every year, I've been to it twice.

The first one I went to, in 2005, was Morningwood, On Watership Down, Sunny Ledfurd, The Fray, Pepper, Art of Dying, 30 Seconds to Mars, Socialburn, Taproot, Nonpoint, One, Hot Hot Heat, Local H, Story of the Year, Trapt, Our Lady Peace, My Chemical Romance, and Staind.

The Fray was alright. Hot Hot Heat drove me nuts. The music was wonderful, but its scary watching a guy who looks exactly like Richard Simmons running around a stage, sweating like crazy... it was gross.

Papa Roach is amazing. Taproot was good (Seen them twice).

I saw Nightwish live, the new Nightwish that is, and they were incredible.

I'm going to a music festival in the summer, possibly two if I can afford the second ticket.

I've always wanted to see Scouting For Girls, but I missed them when they were playing up here, I couldn't afford £80 for the ticket at that time :(

I quite like Nightwish :)

Greatest live band I've ever seen was Marilyn Manson. I'm not a fan of his music at all, but my goodness did he ever impress me with his show. My jaw was on the ground the entire 2 hours he was on stage

I really want to see Thom Yorke in concert, either with or without Radiohead.

Thom Yorke would be awesome indeed ^^

I remember my very first concert, that what was made me like music in first place and it gave me a band to love for life. I was 10 at the time and it was the coolest thing I had been to so far.

I've been to a few music festivals though, it's been fun and I've seen more bands than I can remember. THe best concert I've been was Einstürzende Neubauten in sthlm and they're coming here again in november and I totally yay for that. I don't know that's something about them live thats so awesome.

One concert I really regret not seeing, was a few years back when a friend was going to a festival to see sex pistols and I was stupid enough to not go with, also I stayed home sick on a roky erickson concert. And everyone said it was awesome afterwards.

I'd love to also see Breaking Benjamin.

Then, on to a different genre of music, I'd also enjoy seeing Tech N9ne and the rest of the Strange Music crew.
