THIS...

to...

This!

Looks like great progress, yes? I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been practicing a lot (mostly chibis and headshots though, I'll admit), but I think I'm getting the hang of using a tablet, and having not been drawing really for a few years, and I'm starting to get back into the swing.

Any constructive criticism? ... aside from;

Her upper arm, it looks a bit wonky, I know, but I was trying to express that it was being held kindof backwards, and her shoulder is up under the hair (if you have any advice for perspective like this, please tell me!)
And, I don't want to blend to shade, I like the bolder way that I'm shading right now, it's a lot of fun, and blending I find irritating. I might worry about it later, but right now I want to work on other things.

Wow, seriously? How much did you practice? You went from totally one dimensional to having depth in just that short amount of time? I can't get my boyfriend to shade... >< Haha, but good job though! In comparison to the first you did a really good job on the clothes, but maybe add something simple just to give it a little more detail, like stripes or pockets, maybe some lace? Also when you do the facial features keep using a guide so nothing gets slanted or out of place. /constructive criticism.

Keep practicing! I wanna see how your art looks in another few weeks! =p

I wish I had a pretty female face to model for me, sadly, all my friends are men, LOL!

I would like to get more details in ASAP, but I'm afraid if I try to put too much clutter, i'll ruin it. T_T

But that really doesn't matter anyway, gotta practice, gotta find that balance.

Great progress!
I'd suggest looking at making the head more of an oval shape as I think it might look a little circlish at the moment.
Also, try out different and more realistic eyes (or different anime ones).

My latest:

I did this last night, and finished it up this morning.
Whatcha think?
I know the arms are a little wonky already, but other than that, I don't think it's that bad. :)

Nice job! It's good to see that you've been practicing a lot. Drawing even a little bit each day is the key to improving your art. Your work is impressive for someone who's having a go at art for the second time. I really like the shading of the hair. Though in the second picture you drew, you might want to check that hand again. Hands are hard, I admit that, but I think you could have defined the fingers a bit better. Right now they look a little too short. What helps me is to do studies of each different part of anatomy, or draw them realistically, or both, and then try them stylized.
Great job, keep up the good work!

They're supposed to be lightly folded into a loose fist.
But my shading is off so it makes it hard to distinguish.
