Horrible. I had two tests this week, both of which kicked my butt.
I have a powerpoint due tomorrow (a 20 minute presentation) and it won't be up to my standards because I haven't had the appropriate amount of time to work on it. It's not been good day for me, either. :(

But it's okay, I just ate some celery and peanut butter so I'm feeling pretty good now.

Aww *hugs Star* perhaps you did better on the tests than you thought you did? Also, a lackluster powerpoint can always be made up for with a good overall presentation...I like to think of powerpoint as back-up.

I like to think of powerpoint as my friend. If you hadn't noticed I'm an awkward presenter.

Seri - No, I know for sure that two went really bad. And I'd be shocked as hell if I did well, especially since the teacher is a frickin' prick when it comes to grading. He walked in while we were testing and asked "Any tears yet?" He honestly tries to makes his tests hard enough that you'll scrape by with a C.

And yeah, I doubt the presentation will go well either.
Thankfully it's on a paper I had to write - but that doesn't mean I understood everything I read.
And I know this asshole [same professor described above] is going to drill me with questions.

You are? I thought you were a handy writing utensil / back-up presenter. ^.^;
But in all seriousness, I imagine that would have gone a tad better if we'd planned it out beforehand...and speaking of planning, what bs did you write about the planning stages in your reflection?

Heh, sounds like a professor I have right now. >.< Not good times.

Stupid jerk professors! :illgetu:

This guy seems to think we only have HIS class.
I tried to be one of two people who were going on next Monday because I know how this weekend/week was going to go.
But he wanted to "draw straws" kind of crap because no one else was stepping up to the plate to take the spot.
So I just said fuck it, and volunteered. :\ He's like "well, if we run out of time you can go on Monday." Gee, thanks, still have to try and scrape together a powerpoint! D:

Yep, definitely sounds like the guy I have. he tends to spring assignments (mostly essays) pertaining to dense topics at the last minute and inform us that they are due not by the next class, but by midnight the very next day. >.< I'm starting to hate email because of it.

Yuck!! What a freaking jackass!

I hate professors that act like you're obviously only taking the one class.
Of course you have plenty of time to write an essay by midnight.
It's not like you're a full-time college student or anything.

Exactly! *kicks things in frustration* And it really doesn't help that the bastard is constantly poking fun at students, insulting their intelligence, and treating our time in the classroom like a bloody performance...not to mention the countless segways into why he is the professor and we are the students (and how obviously awesome he is). You can tell that everything is an act with the singular goal of stroking his overblown ego....and the worst bit is, the man is brilliant, so I can't help but respect him on some level despite everything.

I hate teachers like that! I had a philosophy teacher once who insulted everyone. Thankfully, I had no respect for the guy nor any reason to. He insulted me once about my divorce [that I was in the process of getting]. I couldn't believe it! Raaaggglleefarrrsss. Some people shouldn't be teachers!
