*snugglesquish* I've been pretty good. Busy with school & the boy I've been seeing. I'm nearly done, though. Just two essays and one more final and then I'm a graduate. How have you been?

Finished my own finals a few weeks back and having been invading a friend's house frequently in the interest of not visiting with the folks more often than I can stomach. ^.^; But yeah, things are going well enough, though Seri is now unexpectedly single and it's been so long that she barely remembers how to go about dating and the like.

Nice, I wish my essays would write themselves. This second one is giving me a bit of grief. I think it's just because I'm tired and possibly getting sick. I have been home more often recently than in the past few weeks. It's time to start job hunting soon. Yikes.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know how it feels, though. I can say that I never really did "traditional" dating a lot and so it was awkward for me when I started to date again. How long were you and he together? If it doesn't bother you to talk about it.

I'd totally date you, btw. ;)

I got the amount of sleep that enabled essays to write themselves during finals week (by which I mean next to none). I'm not entirely sure I would recommending doing what I did though....still 100+ pages in a week, DONE! So very done...and I get to do it all over again next semester.

So many writing intensives...at this point, I'm pretty sure I have some kind of school related death wish. >.<;

Almost three years, but we're still friends. Not sure if that makes it better or worse really, but I'm a bit of a sap so...yeah. And I never really did the whole traditional dating thing either, so I completely understand. Makes it doubly odd now. Got any tips? xD Seriously though, probably won't be that brand of people ready for a little while yet.

Would you now? I feel like my awesome points just went up. o.o Speaking of dating, how go things with the new boy?

Yeah, it's not even that long of an essay. I am just so use to writing lab reports from Fall and Winter term that writing that writing an essay like this one is a learning process again. I use to be able to whip this kind of thing out, at least a rough draft, very quickly. I can't even finish a decent outline right now. But this term has been really, really chill compared to last term so I can't really complain. I have until Friday, as well, so there's not real stress if I can't get it done today.

I honestly can't say I've been with anyone but my ex-husband that long. And I'm not sure it was three years that we were together. I was with the last guy I dated for about a year or so, I think. We're still friends but I use the term lightly because we only ever talk her on Mene and it's always a bit awkward when we do see each other. I am so socially awkward and shy that I tried a dating site for awhile. It was a little easier for me to meet people after that because my quirkiness is out there for them to judge before they decide if I'm worth meeting. I really don't have any advice, though. xD Wish I did.

I totally would. And they're going great. My daughter freaking adores him - it kind of surprises me how much because she doesn't usually take to people so easily. We get a long really well. He reckons he's in love with me but almost everyone I've ever dated has said they loved me at some point and frankly I'm disenchanted with the idea. I think it's because I have this idea of how love should work and everyone I know keeps stomping on it and now I feel like I don't understand "love" at all.

We've known each other for a few years, by the way. I'd be really creeped out if I had only met him a couple months ago and he was already saying he loved me. xD

There are far too many definitions of what 'love' is/ought to be out there. I doubt mine much measures up with the usual depictions, wonderful little cynic that I am (though truth be told I'm something of a romantic at heart...which is somehow less fun that it sounds)...granted I find people's definitions of love and going ons about how it ought to be/work/etc. to be highly entertaining for whatever reason. But, like you, I can't say I put much stock in the point at which people tell me they love me, because in a relationship, that word always comes up eventually and the earlier it comes, the more leery one has to be of it. (sounds like a terrible person now?)

I'm glad you've found someone that the little one approves of. That always makes things easier, or so I hear.

I don't really have this overly-romantic sort of view of love. I am, however, a romantic at heart even though you'd never guess it from the way I interact with other people. I want to fall in love, I really do, but I am also a cynic and I've been jaded from my past relationships that I just expect failure.

Yeah, that's what I hear too. xD

Haha, I can't help that I'm not bubbly! I'm a product of, well, reality. xD

Random story but I saw a lady in the store the other day.
Big sunglasses, bleach blond, heels and leggings... yeah, the only thing missing was the tiny dog.

Did she have one of those silly bags too? Because then you could have tried to guess what was in it.

Oh those people. With their big hair and big sunglasses and big bags. You'd think they'd be from Texas. Everything's big in Texas. E V E R Y T H I N G!

Yeah, my best friend married a Texan.
When they came up to visit all I heard was about how big everything was from Texas.
I told him that included his head.

Haha, I can believe that. I don't have anything against Texas, it's just a silly catchphrase to me.

*tackles Seri*

Haha, yeah I don't really have a negative opinion of Texas.
Although, that guy was kind of a jerk.
I'm not sure I've ever been called ugly in so many different ways.
I looked at him and said "Look, Shrek, you're a lot more pleasant with your mouth shut."

He was so rude. :talk2hand:

Yeah, I did. When someone spends the three hours you spend together playing 100 Ways to Call a Girl Ugly and spends the time being a total dick to my best friend and his wife, I am mean. I usually keep my word filter up because I'm not very confrontational but...yeah.

HI SERI. 8D
