I think I might go with the pack of mods that Yogscast assembled. My friend's mod is in it after all and I know they all work together. I have to look over what it contains and get unlazy first. XD

Bleh... as of late the server I frequented seems to be down 90% of the time I try to play... I think it's time I join a server that is actually maintained... and doesn't have diamond cored meteors that kill any chance of an economy...

I watched one episode I think, but didn't get what all the fuss was about. We had them as guests on our stream during our big charity event and I have to say that their fans are freaking obnoxious! Ugh. That alone turns me off. Anyone with that many obnoxious fans must be kind of obnoxious themselves :P

I adore Minecraft. I haven't played in a couple of months, but this thread makes me want to get back to it. Last thing I remember working on was a HUGE library with a glass roof.

I also play on peaceful mode cuz I'm too scared of getting killed all the time.;; *Whimp.*

I build in Peaceful mode, but playing with the monsters on is pretty fun. And if you're super scared of them, now you can just build a bed and sleep through the night, then go out and collect the stuff in the morning after they burn to death :rofl: That's how I do it sometimes and try to avoid the creepers. Vigilance and a bow and arrows are your best defense against creepers.

Yeah it was like 80x80x80 of pure diamond...

I had an interesting thing happen with my Nether today. Well, I think it's interesting. It spawned so that I was in a bubble of netherrack, no lava to be seen. I haven't started tunneling through the walls, yet, but I was wondering if anyone else had had that happen. It makes the Nether look very small....

There are more pages on the Wiki about planned things, including an opposite to the Nether- a world of floating islands. Falling is dangerous. And oly chickens spawn there, so far.

lol I think I had one spawn in a dinky little hole once XD thankfully I was able to cut to an open area

Edit - Hey cookie, the mod pack comes with the ruins mod right? o.o I can't find any ruins above or below ground... I've been searching for 2 days now...

I found 2 normal dungeons but that's all

I'm not exactly sure what contains what. I remember he split the packs up at one point so people could pick and choose what they got instead of getting it all together.

Seems the pack gives you them all... I finally found a "ruin" like thing...

The game feels so much more complete with multiple stones... but I don't like how some of the iron required ores break via fist almost instantly with stone picks o.o

So, they've pre-released a 1.8 jar for testing, if anyone's interested. You just download the file and copy it over your existing Minecraft.jar file. (Though for me, I'm only able to play it in the 'Test' window in MCPatcher. :drool:)

I downloaded the Pre-release jar and I was so excited about stacked meat! XD Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to eat said meat to save my life. Literally! I'm in the process of dying because I can't figure out how to eat the meat! :gonk: Also, putting meat stacks in the furnace crashes minecraft for me. Having the furnace cycle finish also crashes minecraft for me. I can't wait for the stable update! I have to work on my texture packs now! :D

Hmm... I'll have to lose all my mod packs to try 1.8 but I hope it's worth it =D

I was just clicking as usual the way you'd normally eat food. It didn't occur to me to hold down the button D: So luckily, I did not die XD

I had to tone my difficulty level down so my food bar would stay full longer.. I was feeling like a murderous loony, having to kill every animal in sight just to stay alive. :lol:

The natural features/biome changes are pretty amazing - came across a mountain range, and a huge ravine.. Also, the swampy areas look pretty sweet.

I found a ravine this morning, but I was too sleepy to go inside. I'm gonna fire it up now and explore. Guess I should kill more things before I go in though. Even if cooking breaks the game.

OH GOD! Notch found a way to make spider dungeons even more terrifying than they already were! Poisonous spiders x_x

TT_TT and i was so excited...I always hated the spiders..! m:(

I found a ravine and a spider dungeon right inside it... seems orbs do nothing right now cause I'm like lv 8+ XD

My biggest problem right now is the furnace... I can't cook anything D:

Aww... I like the challenge... and easy isn't too bad

If you put it on easy... a small wheat farm keeps your hunger up. And if your hunger is kept up, you'll heal over time (when it's maxxed)

I think in order for this to be good, notch needs to add more ways of getting food though

Hmm... I think I may have found a solution to the furnace... but it's kinda boring. I AFKed with it still open - no crash
and I think it only requires you to have it open during the first and last item/burn out
