Try 2 snow and a pumpkin? It makes infinite snow so I've heard XD

2 snow with a pumpkin on top makes a snow golem. You can make a whole bunch of them and they throw snowballs at enemies for you. They also leave snow when they walk around.
If you make one in a snowy biome they last forever unless killed. If you make them anywhere else they eventually melt away.

I dunno if it's been mentioned already or not or not, but wouldn't it be awesome to have a mene minecraft server?
The guy who takes care of the server I play on isn't able to maintain it right now, it's going to be a while before it's updated and fixed.
Just wondering since it's much more fun to play with other people.

not sure if many are willing to pay for a server that strong. I know mine starts getting bogged down with just 10 people actively playing. especially if a few are out exploring new areas. but that would be awesome!

still no bucket so my server's still down for now :( I can't wait to reset the world and play with all the new stuff.

I hate having snow on my island xD The first time it rained (when it was coming through glass on first release xD ) when it stopped much of my area was covered in snow, which I was NOT impressed about! I seeded a lot of my little island with glowstone blocks to melt it xD Because clearing it away is mind-numbingly boring!

I've been doing some work on my house, and stalking endermen :ninja: I am no longer scared of those guys! I stared at one intentionally and he had a hard time killing me. They can't seem to get to you if you're too high up? I was only on my balcony which is 1 floor up, and he still ended up in my beastie pit. I had to go outside and basically, "yoohoo, over here!" before he came out of there xD

Two damn creepers spawned in my veg garden, so I was fixing the massive holes they made in the walls and I heard that creepy Ender noise; turned around and the dude was right there next to me, in broad daylight! He had a block in his hand but I don't think he was helping fix the wall >_> I said hello and he went poof! Anti-social bastard.

I've been taking some screenshots, anyway:

Got rid of a lot of the random cobblestone and various ugly on the lower part of my house after finding a load of clay and being able to make bricks.
Here you can see my favourite side for standing on the glass lip and taunting monsters on the hill opposite.

They come straight towards me, looking right at me and not paying any attention to the ground in front of them. Consequently they end up in here :D

When the game won't let me sleep because there's monsters nearby, I amuse myself seeing how many I can collect in the pit before sunrise. The combined death noises are a bit gross though, gotta say :lol:

I so wish more plants would be added. I love my garden, but hillsides full of turnips looks mildly odd xD

Downstairs room: I settled on a wallful of bookcases to add some warmth and colour, and used glowstone blocks for a headboard because they're pretty :D

Look what I did to my fireplace :( Minecraft's all about trial and error, right? My beastie roasting pit outside wasn't low enough. It had a layer of stone between it and my wooden floor, but it still managed to keep setting fire to my stairs >_> One time was worse than usual so I had to put it out with a bucket of water before the place burnt down! Of course the water went in the fire and turned the lava to obsidian. Did I mention I got killed by a Ghast in the Nether and lost my diamond pick...so yeah, dead black fire for a while yet!

And the most important lesson learnt yet...DO NOT GO OUT AND LEAVE YOUR DOOR OPEN!!!

Needless to say. I have not left my door open since! It took ages to get that bastard out of there!

I absolutely love Minecraft! The only disappointing thing is that my mods are gone because of the 1.0.0 update. >< Oh well, hopefully those who made the mods will update soon!

@ Arkkath - Someday... that's a future plan for me once I can afford a server or something... (likely only if we've got a lot of spare money)

@ Jelly - if you set up a pressure plate inside you can design your door to auto close, it's REALLY helpful especially if you're being chased and you don't want to waste time turning around to shut the door.

:lol: Mo creatures is an awesome mod... what do they have now? last I knew they had gotten kittens, wearwolves, ogres, etc...

So over the past few days I've been working on a huge sandstone palace. Everything was done, with the exception of the basement area. I was making a catacombs type area down there.
I decided to take a break from that and found a nearby mountain and I started building Shadowfang Keep from WoW. Construction was going well. I'd say I was about 75% done when my computer crashed.
I went back to Minecraft after I booted her up again, but my world wasn't in the menu. I checked the files for the game and the files were there, but it wasn't showing up in the game menu.
Anyone else have this problem? I put a lot of work into these buildings and it would really suck to lose them =(

I found an abandoned mine \o/ I found a chest in it \o/ It didn't have any melon seeds in it >:C

Do Endermen blow things up now? I'm wandering around a cave and things keep blowing up. I saw an Enderman and was wondering if it was him. I have no idea what's going on. Minecraft 1.0 is scary o.o

Nah, they don't blow things up. I was luring them into a lava pit in my second world xD They freak out even more than creepers do when they're dying :lol:

It turns out that the sound was thunder! I was running around down inside that cave and the thunder was so loud I mistook it for explosions! Geez.

@jellysundae: abandon mines are fun to find! I found one a while ago that was actually underwater. that was crazy.

endermen are weird. they steal my bricks and put them in trees even though I'm not looking at them.

thunder and rain can be so loud. my bf doesn't have his sound turned down so when I heard it on his computer it actually startled me.

I did some research on the problem and here's what I found out.
The game file somehow got corrupted, but it's possible to create a new world with the same name and you'll be able to re enter it. So I did that and entered my world. It seemed to work at first because I could see one of my structures, but about 5 seconds later it went to a different screen that said "saving chunks" and then it went to a black screen and froze.
Apparently other have had this problem and they just re installed the game, but that didn't work for me either.

:( that's horrible. I know the only issues I've really had like that are mod based >.< one causes so many problems for people I had to rll back my server to a save I had from the previous week but someone did loose a significant amount of work. All I could really do was admin them the materials they used. felt so bad but pat of the fun can be building again or thinking, I liked it the way I had it but lets see if I can do it better/different. It can be fun.

I hope something works for you though :( would have imagined reinstalling would have helped.

Oohh Ark ;~; Well, if it lets you in enough to get a screenie or two, screen capture them and we'll try rebuilding it in multiplayer!

I'd be mad if my main world borked, hope you don't have any more incidents like this, Arc!

I decided to turn my walled garden into a giant greenhouse to stop the monsters from spawning in there at night and trampling my wheat/pumpkins. Ddidn't work! I have some company in there right this minute >_>

Ok, anyone else experienced anything like this? How did this idiot get on my roof!?

The only thing I can think of is he spawned up there, and that's never happened before, I don't think, there was a creeper up there once but that was the same day I left the door open and found one in my bedroom >_>

Its too dark in those areas so they're actually spawning there. for your greenhouse maybe some jack o' lanterns as lights? they'd kind of fit in a bit. roof I'm not sure but I did have that issue too so now there's Glowstone imbedded on it. Worst issue I had was my dog house. Things liked spawning in there and when they would my wolves would all knock out of stay and teleport to me. Was always a pain putting them away. Eventually I just went overboard with lighting and made a checkerboard pattern with glowstone and wood.
