Thanks for the current and future help! 83 I like learning through my mistakes but there are sure to still be rules/laws of minecraft nature that I still need to understand.
There are things about minecraft you want to learn before you play though. There was, I think the basic rules of minecraft survival. I don't remember them all, but they're pretty logical. *goes to find them*
Other than the below 10 rules, pretty much everything else requires playing to learn ^^
Oh yeah... and redstone... I recommend watching tutorials from time to time... some things are really complicated.
I kind of see creative mode/mods as cheats, or a way to alter game play. I have a weird rule about either beating a game or just playing it for a loooong time before thinking about such things. Not to mention on the xbox, they have hints that pop up rather often and explain the game to you as you go. But from what I hear about the PC version, you're just left to your own devices.
Well honestly I figured out minecraft before the end of my first night... had shelter and everything.
I see creative as a "time saver"... in which you want to "explore" a map before settling down and disabling creative.
That's how me and my brother found a desert biome with a skele dungeon right next to a town with a temple next to it.
But that takes away from the satisfaction of spending HOURS on en dlooking for the right materials to create and have fun. Not to mention while you're spending that time mining for supplies, you find awesomely amazing caverns and abandoned mining caves. I really think that is the most fun.
Or maybe I am just very envious and wish I had every material at my disposal with the click of a mouse.
But I really do see that as cheating xD
I suppose if I started with the PC version I might think differently.. but I didn't xD
Well we don't use creative mode for that part. Just to explore. I have no problem getting infinite resources at my disposal anyways... my problem is organizing it.
I just dun like people who do nothing but creative Dx
Is good for exploring and such, but its minecraft for cryin out loud xD
Do some mining~
I really can't wait for the 360 version to get more updates, like enchanting or emeralds. Ohh pretty emeralds. When they come to the 360 imma make an emerald castle! x3
If I spawn blocks I typically don't do anything but creative on a flat map and "test out" stuff to build on another map. like my redstone block ladder.
Good luck on that, emeralds aren't exactly "easy" to get that much of.
Well it will probbaly be a year or so until the 360 version is up to date with today's pc version. And even then it will be very far behind.
But that will make it all the better when I finish. I will live in an emerald shack until I have enough to make a house/castle. XD
I am determined~
Thought, the maps on 360 are limited, not endless. So once you dig up all the rare minerals from the map.. you need a new one. Really, that's the only downside to the 360 version.
