I love the picture frames. My houses look all cute and girly now with the walls covered in flowers. :D

Got to play the game a lot more and I have fallen in love with flat worlds now. You can incorperate ORE and TREES :D

Nope, sadly there was not...

One day I might start one, but chances are it'll be a long time... I don't even know much about servers yet.
Probably summer next year at the earliest...

If you are planning on running a server it's definitely worth it to use bukkit for plugins if you're to have anything above the basic set up for a server... there's nothing wrong with a basic server, but bukkit plugins can really enhance the experience you have in the game... or change it all together depending on the plugins you use.

If you want to get really wild you can go to hack/mine or tekkit which are built off of minecraft, use many of the same mechanics, but add whole new directions to the game (Hack/Mine makes it more like an RPG where you have a race and a class and there are critters like naga and orcs about... but watch out for the creepercondas! Tekkit is minecraft meets science fiction. You can build some really beautiful things with tekkit... I think I squealed out loud when I saw that they had tiles to slap on blocks you don't want to see a certain face of. Embarrassing, but oooohmygosh win.)

I've been playing since juuust before the wolves mod (I think that was 1.3 beta?) and my goodness I'm in love! It's hard for me to play single-player after being an admin for a server community for so long, but there is still so much to love about the game after all this time. If you haven't played multi-player yet, you simply must give it a try-- but I should warn you that there are a lot of bad servers out there with everything from trolls to coding to 'ghost' into your player account (it's not quite hacking, but it's... well it's complicated.)

Yeah, my brother uses bukkit. Chances are I wouldn't use plugins though, to ensure the server is down as little as possible.

Bukkit takes forever to produce a stable build each time minecraft updates, too, so you wait an extra month or two to play on the version everybody else has been enjoying for weeks... but minecart mania, lwc and worldedit are things I would rather not live without... er... on the game! xD

Haha... I'm a boring Vanilla player... but if I did mods, it'd be the ones that are quick to update.

xD I just kept two .jar files on hand and switched them out for when I wanted to do whatever.

I'm enjoying vanilla minecraft again now that I have just single player to deal with... but I really do miss world edit.
I suppose there is a mod for it but meh. Building it legit is more rewarding.

True... I love legit building. For anything else there's creative mode

ha ha, Well once I get a job again and save up a bit I might build a dedicated server, I have had some experience with bukkit so I'm good there but seeing how popular minecraft is here I'm surprised that there isn't a server already.

I also plan to build a mansion on top. So far I have 11 rooms of 16 chests each to build, and after that I gotta see if I need more room. that's 176 doublechests...

Being able to play via LAN is a beautiful thing. My friends and I are building a crazy island, and when we're done we're going to see who can stay alive the longest on it.
