@Seridano: This thread gets lost in the void a lot for some reason. XP But sure, we don't always talk about college stuff. ^^
@nonsense: It's probably because you hadn't posted recently. Mine does that, too.
Yeah, it's my English class (and I've always loved English) and it's also my only class of less than 150 people.
@Otaku: Lol, you'll have to choose for yourself, there. I'm not a huge history buff.

-shrugs- Even if you did, I might be of some use. I played adviser for a number of my friends for quite a few semesters.
Anywho, if you folks have need of a cheeky English major, I'll be lurking in the corner.

Yeah, we all do that for each other in here quite a bit. ^^
Mostly we complain.

@Seri: Definitely. Especially when it has to do with too much work. >.>
So what are you up to now that you've graduated? And what did you graduate with?
@Otaku: Yeah, that's always nice. :) So long as they're good professors.

I am running about like a chicken with my head cut off as student loans creep closer and closer, well aware of the fact that I cannot hope fend them off with my silly little BA in English. >.<

Ahh. I wanted to be an English major myself. I told my dad that when I was about 15 and he basically told me I'm an idiot, so here I am doing psych and business.
I hope you find something though. It's such a shame that people think English is a useless degree. XP

I started out as a psych major. I got bored. >.<
Now, don't get me wrong, I find the inner workings of the human mind absolutely fascinating...the classes themselves, however, not so much. So, off I went seeking some sort of intellectual stimulation. I found it, but the price was knowing that I'd be graduating with a degree that people make all of the japes about.
/sigh

Haha, don't worry about offending me. Some psych classes are disgustingly boring. >.> I do highly doubt that I will continue with psych as a major after my bachelor's degree.
People make fun of psych majors too. Shrinks and all that. XD Whatever.
I think English degrees can help--I mean...honestly...there is no degree left that gets you an instant job. Bachelors are worthless, pretty much period. Associates? Oh gawsh. Worth nothing at all.

Seridano - Don't we, we don't bite x3. Unless if that's changed...
Elysium - I sort of lurk on, lurk off, lurk on, lurk off.
150 people?! That's massive. My largest class is about 80-90. English is a wonderful class, unfortunately I only had to take two or three semesters.
I need some new hobbies x3. I come home from my exam, sit down, and return to listening to various speeches.

Yeah, I took the semester off between my Bachelor's and Grad school. That was when I started working at Mighty Taco and made a bunch of money (that most of it is going towards survival) and saved money.
Plus it was nice to take time off.
Attempting a survey that my roommate sent me that she's doing for a class. Anyone interested in helping? She wanted me to get at least 2 other people along with me to do it. It's about people's perceptions or what they think about certain brands of ice cream ^^

Mike and I both have a BA in Political science. He's having issues trying to get a job other than normal jobs, that's how crappy the economy is now. He's unable to go on and get his JD (Law degree) from a good school because of his grades. I'm the one who is in Grad school for my MLS. Even then, I don't know how the market looks for me when I finish... Though it'll be good since it's a good professional degree. ^^

@nonsense: Yeah. My classes aren't quite out of the range of general classes yet, so a lot of non psych degree people get in still. Makes them large classes.
I have more winter hobbies than summer ones, so I'm actually looking forward to these colder months.
@Ser: It's a good idea. I'm burnt out, and I'm sure you were.
I'd help ya out, but I've already got a lot of other stuff I'm doing tonight.

I dunno what you did, but I went to college straight after high school, so technically I've been in school for 15 straight years. Talk about burnt.
Yeah, my professors are picky this go round. Gotta work harder than I like to.

Same. I started college the September after I graduated. I had 2 fall semesters off, but other than those, I've been in school. even then, I still really didn't have a "break"
Yeah, I'm just all over the place. Burnt out from work and homework ^^"

I wish I'd taken a semester off at some point in the last two years. I just didn't know what else to do with myself when I was off, other than work. Figure I'd either be really lonely, or get into a lot of trouble. >.>

The first fall semester I had to stay home, Mike was at school, so I was lonely and miserable.
The second one, Mike had already graduated from Fredonia, so he was home. We spent a lot of time together. It was really nice ^^

@Ser: Your second semester off sounds like my cup of tea. :) I'm such a simple person despite how gaudy and stuck up I can come off. Mostly I just like a nice relaxing home, and a nice bf and some friends and I'm happy.

Ser - I wouldn't mind giving the survey a try. Ice cream's so yummy.
I want ice cream.
This economies is just mean to graduates nowadays. Let's hope there's as spike in the economy or at least a pleasant outlook to get people hiring again.
El - Eek. I'd feel so weird in a massive auditorium. Ours look nice and comfy because they're only about half filled. I took all of my basics at community colleges so they were rather small.
Tea, tea, tea, tea? Drinking teas a good winter hobby.

@nonsense: I took most of my basics at a community college, it's just that some of the psych basics aren't offered in community colleges. It should calm down as the classes get higher.
I'm looking forward to said smaller classes. I hate disappearing into such a humongo crowd.
Haha, more like coffee and hot cocoa. ;) But I knit in the winter. I also draw more.
