I got called for jury duty today.

YEah, I had a bit of time. Glad it came back. I'd be lost

I was summoned back in 2011 I think. My county lets us go online and send in we can't make it. I think I go the summons back in the summer that year and went online to put in the waiver because of school.
I wouldn't be surprised if I get a summons while here in Eire county NY. I'm registered to vote out here.
I wouldn't mind going in for Jury duty... But sadly I would have no way to get there when I should because of school and no driving ^^"

Yeah, I've been coming on Mene every night for a couple years now. It's always hard when it's down.

I need to check it out further, but so far it looks like I can only waive it till a later date. Still ridiculous. College isn't something I can just ditch. I mean, overall the compensation for jury duty is lame, but it's practically our only civic duty for living in a free country...so I guess you have to put up with it.

Yeah, and I'm political, so I would go of course. Sometimes they would like people like me on a jury.
Mike was on Grand Jury back in 2011 in February... till he got sick with Salmonella poisoning when he visited me for V-day weekend. He got a month off work and everything because of Jury Duty. But, he missed the rest of that. So, we were quite thankful he saves his money very well.

Was mene down? well if it did I missed it.

If it's Grand Jury they're calling me for they're going to have to shove it up their ass. I don't have the time for that. But I don't think it's that. It's just some little regular trial so far as I know.

Yeah, Mene was down for about an hour.

Lolz. I get like that whenever I see a cat and I live with two.

Yeah, my roommate's friend who has been staying with us is packing her stuff and they have some friends over helping. I guess one of them has a cat or the friend who has been staying with us does. I went down to make something to snack on and saw the kitty in the carrier.
Chen got to see how I am very excitable around cats and I get all happy. Plus he is an orange kitty too. ^^ Even better.

I miss my baby boy. But, I has an awesome picture of my baby to look at every day :)

I came up and told mike on messenger about it and he was very happy and said "awww terri get happy feelings" I told him i did and that I was content till I got to come home to see all my lovely kitties. He mentioned how we would get happy relaxy kitty time too. I told him how the kitty who loves us at his house would be a happy girl, and eli would be a very happy boy when his momma snuggles. then the next thing made me very happy "mhm n inna few years we'll have baby kittys that we will love n pet n they will go squee : D" I said they'd go squee like their momma and how I look forward to that so much. And so does he ^^

And, this is late, but somehow I skimmed over it in the message you wrote it in--when you postponed your jury duty did you have to give specific dates, or what? I'm just wondering if our states are similar.

Its alright I'm not sure since I didn't call or anything it was years ago so I hope I'm not in trouble for that.

@Otaku: I'm sure they would've done you in by now if you were in trouble...but dang, that wasn't a good idea to ignore them.

My summons is like "do it or we'll charge you 700 dollars and/or throw you in jail for 6 months."

@Ely: Yeah, he's getting better. Last night we were nostalgic about when we first were together and how things were, and we were all mushy. I love how he's a cat person like me.. Even though he's not like how I am with kitties, he still loves them. Just isn't all like how I am obsessed at times.
Yeah, I had to pick a date between 2-6 months after they originally summoned me. I had to pick a date that they could then send me a summons. They never did though. I got it August of 2011, and I picked Feb 2012, but they didn't re-summon me. But then I have a bunch of different addresses all over the place. I have my school address which is my voter registration address, the address the DMV has is the address my dad and I had when we lived in the apartment, and then my permanent address which is in a small hamlet where my dad and stepmom live. ^^" I'm all over. Have fun figuring out which one to send to me NYS

@Otaku: Yeah, you kinda have to call and go if you're summoned that day. They will most likely come at you and charge you. But, you definitely will get summoned again like we all will.

@Ely and Ser: Yeah that was definitely a bad idea but I was listening to my ex as well, so that was why I did it. btw ser I'm glad things are well with Mike.

@Ser: Yeah, Mike is definitely your type, and not mine (no offense) but I envy you that he likes cats. One of my deal breakers is definitely being allergic to cats. Even if this were my soul mate I'd have to tell them to go get an allergy shot before I gave up my cats. It's just how it is. Call me the crazy cat lady, go right ahead, but when you've lived 20 years with having your ONE cat basically being your anti-depression meds, you don't give them up lightly.

And okay, that's exactly what I wanted to know, so thankies. :) They summoned me on a day I have to go to class...I could probably skip but I really don't want to. I'll either reschedule for a Tuesday or Spring Break, and hope to goodness that they just leave me alone.

@Ely: Indeed we have been you can see that I seem to have bad luck in relationships.

lol! yeah (no offense taken :)), I always followed that too. I would not want to have to give up my kitties. I don't know how my stepsister does it living with her cat hater boyfriend o.o I mean come on, when Mike and I got serious, I started telling him how Elijah and I are a packaged deal, want me, you get my cat too.
But, it didn't take much because he loves his cats. He loved his cat Rocky and is still a little sad over that. And he's having a hard time not getting attached to Zoey because he knows when we move in together, she doesn't go with us. We were considering taking her with us and having her and Eli together, but we ended up deciding that maybe it might be good for her to stay, plus she is his brother's cat. But, if we decide to want her, we can talk to his brother if he'd wnat to keep her, but he has the dog too.
Oh well, we won't dwell on it. We know we get Eli (hopefully he survives while I'm gone and can last for me). But Mike is defintely all for us having cats. And he even has given into my requests to have a guinea piggy because of how much I love those too.


Yeah, they haven't gotten ahold of me yet either. ^^"

@Otaku: I've noticed, but you know what? You'll find the right guy someday if you haven't already.

@Ser: I always knew on a base level that my last relationship wouldn't last simply because he was allergic to cats. It would've pissed me off to no extent eventually even though it wasn't his fault. My cats come with me, and if I'm honest...if they have a dog and it's obnoxious...we'd have to have a chat about it.

There's plenty of cats around that he'd be able to get of his own, too, if he can't have Zoey.
