Ahh. My mum braved the snow to go get some milk and her Sunday newspaper. It was only a couple blocks away, but she has a new Subaru Forester with four wheel drive, so she didn't have any trouble.
I hope it stops snowing for you, then. Just send it all to Fort Collins, kay?

I normally don't even go outside until the driveway is shoveled. >_>
I'm clumsy enough to be a hazard to myself and others in ice and snow.

Haha, yeah, my dad normally handles it, but this was a LOT of snow as you know, so I took up shovel duty and cleared out the places he couldn't get with the plow.

Risque: (From the reply you left in the Valentine's Day Uni thread)
Ach, that's nuts. I have a pair of Versace sunglasses, but I bought them because I absolutely fell in love and knew I'd wear them for years, and here I am four-five years later still wearing them EVERY day. I doubt those girls that shop in stores where that's all they sell do that.
Where did you live that there was such a high Asian population?
@Ser: Just don't let her burn down the house, kay? XP
---------- Post added 02-25-2013 at 11:02 AM ----------
Mmm. I have leftover chicken and dumplings that I made yesterday for my lunch today. The place with the microwaves on my campus is VERY 90s and outdated, but for some reason I like it down here. It's very calm and welcoming. Kinda reminds me of my childhood, too, because of the decorations.

@ Ely: And that's the thing about name brands. You can rely on them to produce high quality stuff consistently, but when people use it as a crutch for actual fashion taste, that's when I start to have problem. Some LV stuff looks absolutely atrocious~
I think it's a pain in the behind when I find something I absolutely must have, but it turns out to be luxury name brand~ u_u
I used to live in Southern California, in the San Gabriel valley.

Oh man, re-exam wasn't any easier than the Friday exam :O For every question they reused, they had another, harder question to make up for it. I hope I passed but it's going to be pretty close :/

Congrats Wag!
@Risque: Oh jeeze, I hate it when I see something awesome in a magazine, and (as usual) it's some major expensive designer brand. Those Versace sunglasses were definitely a once in a blue moon thing for me. Generally though, I go and find some similar item for a cheap price. And yeah, using designer brands as a fashion crutch is exactly what I was talking about. >.>
Ahh, my Asian friend is from the L.A. area. That family seems to have a buttload of money, and it bugged me how much he spent on computers and technology, but he's a sweetie, so I don't care much.

I have a friend whose family is from South Korea. Growing up I never saw her in really anything fashionable. She also was a bit of a tomboy and would dress mainly in hoodies and such and some stuff for the high school's softball team (she played softball). Come to think of it, her brother too. I never saw her brother in anything other than jeans, a t-shirt and a lot of the times he was usually wearing one of those button shirts open (a lot of the time some plaid mix)
But, she also was really fun to know. I'm still friends with her even though she's in Texas now.
We had a bunch of Koreans in my school, I think Rochester has a pretty big Korean population, we have a Korean Church not too far from my high school in Greece NY.
All of them were pretty cool and were friendly. They were also American born, but their parents or grandparents came from Korea.

Just goes to show that all the generalizations we have can only go so far. There are always good exceptions to the rules. :3
BUT.. I'll come out and say that the American born ones are always more chill and don't inherit that much of the uh.. how should I put it.. yuppie-ness.

Oh I know. My friends are usually the American born. There are some that I like and have liked that were from their country. I sadly mainly have issues with the Chinese international students. Well, the 2 girls I've roomed with. One girl I was roommates with a couple years ago and my current one. I already have issues standing up for myself and speaking my mind when something bothers me because I avoid confrontation and conflict. And I've had those times when I would voice my opinion and would say when it bothered me, and I was faced with the Chinese superiority complex being thrown at me. So, I just shut up and do my stuff and live my life.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm a cruel person. But, I don't hate the entire race, just historically for me I've faced issues with 1 subsection.
Ack, I'm so tired tonight. Spent from 5.30pm till 9.30 working on homework and practicing a midterm with a group I meet with. And I worked from 12-5 :/
