Mike and I are the ones who'll stand outside on our front porch and watch it if we could. I would sit on the porch with my cat (Elijah) and we'd watch the thunderstorm sitting on the step between the house and our screened in porch.

I might have to start doing that with my cat because we have a screened in porch now. ^.^
We actually had a thunderstorm the other day that was so loud and evil sounding that my cat hid in the basement all day. XD Ran down there like her ass was on fire.

Elijah didn't really hide from storms, he would sit with me. Rascal (my mom's cat) used to go hide under beds, chairs, anything he could fit into during storms and be gone an hr before and after. I used to have to go look for him and tell him that the "boom-booms are gone"

Hahaha, awh, that's cute.
My cat doesn't normally hide from storms, but that particular one was the loudest I'd experienced in years. I swear I thought for a second that lightning struck right outside because the boom was so loud.

I like the storms we get here in my hometown. I do miss living up by Lake ontario and seeing the lightening over the lake.
I just like getting to see storms.

Lol, other states can keep their tornadoes. If I never see one in real life I'll be just fine. XP
But awh, that kinda sucks I suppose. I really love a good thunderstorm as long as it doesn't have any hail, like I said.

Yeah, I'm all for not seeing a tornado that is bigger than F2 in my life... We had one go through Fredonia while I was in class and it all happened so quickly and it wasn't on the campus (a couple miles away I think), they didn't sound the alarms on campus... Yes, we had those on that campus and WNY isn't known for that, but for some reason Chautauqua county gets warnings a lot. But yeah, we had an F2 touchdown in Fredonia. I was walking to class before it happened, then I guess we had it either while I was in class, or when we were done in class and my friends and I were watching channel 2 (NBC) in the lounge in the building we were in and we saw we had a Tornado Warning and that one was possible to have touched down in the area. We aren't known for ones that get bigger than F2 in our state.
I do remember it raining heavier when I was in class than I did get caught in when I was walking to class (I was walking to class and it downpoured on me so I was almost soaked when I got to class). And I could hear something since we were on the 3rd floor. No windows though, the classrooms on the 3rd floor of that building are in the middle of the hallway, and the rooms with windows are professor offices.
So yeah... Haven't seen one, but can say lived through one being nearby and almost right freaking there. Re-reading the news stories online and recognising the roads it actually left damage.
Yeah, I actually like thunderstorms that are strong and big like that. I don't know why. I don't like doing shit that scares me like roller coasters and such. But, I like the severe storms. I guess that's my adrenaline kick.

Oh, I've actually lived through a tornado before...well the precursor of one. When I was a freshman in high school, I think, a humongous tornado came and parked over my school. It didn't touch down, but it was swirling in the clouds above us as I was told.
I was in the library and all the sudden the librarians started yelling at everyone to get the hell away from the windows and go downstairs, so we did. Sat in lockdown for about half an hour, and it turns out the tornado passed over us without touching down and went north where it almost completely leveled another small town about the size of ours.

I can't even imagine how it must have been having the cloud just over your school. Ours was just only a few blocks away from the campus when that happened. o.o

To be honest I didn't really know what was going on when we were in lockdown. They didn't really tell us. So I wasn't actually worried at all while it was going on because mostly I just thought it was a huge hail storm that could have possibly shattered all the windows in the school.
It was only after I got home and was told about the other town getting leveled that I had realized what was going on.

We went into lockdown because of the humongous tornado that brought the hail, Otaku. :)
Um, I'm thinking this was 2008 since I seem to recall being a Freshmen in high school.

I think I have to e-mail one of my professors and ask if there's really a huge difference between edition 3 and 4. Because this is a difference of me spending $75 on a book that costs $85 or buy a book that only will cost me around $10 used

I had a book like that last semester, but I ended up buying the new one because the old one was impossible to find despite it being almost exactly the same. I couldn't afford to wait two months into the semester to get a book.

Thankfully there are edition 3s around that are available for me to get. I just need to find out if there's that much of a difference in material. If so, then I'll fork over the cash. I do have the money and probably will get refunds this year. If not, Mike is willing to help me if need be (I haven't asked, nor do I have to worry about it I know he'll help when/if I ask)

Cool! I have been debating whether or not to read the Game of Thones books for awhile. I might do so in my free time this semester.
@Ser: It's good they're available if they are compatible for your class. Like I said I had one last year where it would be like 80$ cheaper to buy an older addition that was barely any different, but of course they were completely impossible to get ahold of.

Yeah, my sister is only part way through the first, I'm on the second one. The semester is starting up in a couple weeks, and I'm in 3 classes. I'm re-taking one class this semester to get rid of the incomplete and pass the shit out of it with the better professor. I have a lot of reading to do in one of my courses so far, plus the work in the one, and others. So, I'll try to find time before bed to read the books.
Still unemployed... and i'm kind of getting pestered in a not intentional way it seems to get a job. Basically stating where places are hiring... But, I'm kind of not flexible with my work availability. I need a stable "you have the same work days and days off a week" instead of the "you don't have a fucking clue what your work week is till Friday and it changes every week" I can't have that when I have the coursework, and I have to work with a librarian in town on something for a class. Sooo.. yeah. No.

Yeah my workplace does that to me and my schedule changes constantly so I only got saturday off. I'm still on the first one, but I got further into it today alot of it wasn't I expected especially with daenyrs being so young as opposed to Khal Drogo being way older than her. Also I expected Robb and Jon and Rickon to be alot older when Robb and Jon are only 14 and Rickon is only 3, so that was different to.
