My family has realized that I am a fairly utilitarian person. For example, I got slippers and socks and money (to help pay for the trip back to NY from Maine), so it's not like I get things that are material simply to have them.
My friends tend to get VERY sentimental things for me, but find a way to make them useful. For example, Blackie got me a hand-painted plate this past Christmas. And the candy is always nice.
I absolutely ADORE giving gifts though. Finding that perfect something for someone and seeing the look on their face when they open makes my heart fly.
Something like that. Not quite the same though. It'll never be the same. Unless I gave you a perfect gift, which would be hard, because I barely know you.
Haha. Yeah. Good gifts are hard to give. I'm pretty good at them, though. I kind of have a sixth sense with the things people want.
I love gifts of books...or just...time. I don't know what it is with me. My favorite present ever was when my dad surprised me one day a couple of winters back and took me out to my favorite bookstore/coffeeshop and let me pick out a book and get some hot chocolate and a snicker doodle. That stuff makes my heart cry happily.
I dunno...that's a pretty heavy claim. Chocolate covered bacon...that stuff's hotter than the surface of the sun. Be careful competing with it. It likes to burn competitors.

Gawd. How many inside jokes have we come up with today?
