That's good to hear!
I'm just kinda "meh." I'm sitting here re-knitting a hat right now. There was an unnacceptable hole from a missed stitch so I restarted it.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. But I'm not a real fancy knitter. I've been doing scarves, shawls, and recently I've begun hats. It's really quite simple. There are sooo many videos on youtube that show you how to knit, and show you well, too. I learned on my own from a website with plain written instructions and a couple of drawings.
My mind is such a crazy place, knitting calms me down a lot. Lets me rest, you know?

That's fine, lol. I just went back to my hat. XD But I'm going to head off to bed, now. I'm tired.
Gotta say, though, you knit in the summer and you'll have a crudton of Christmas gifts come time. :) You'd be surprised how much people like the hand-knitted gifts. They make such fun of them on TV, but I've always had people love it when I gave them to them as presents.

Why do you celebrate an equivalent, and not the real thing? I'm not a druid, and I celebrate Halloween.

[email protected]: As in, Christmas isn't a good time for us to have a gift exchange, but between Thanksgiving and Christmas there is a good time - ergo Thanksmas.

I might have to start doing something like that with friends. I'm always so busy with stuff during Christmas and/or I'm not in their presence to give them stuff.

It is. :) I attempted to switch my knitting style from English to Continental halfway through, however, and screwed it up, so I had to restart it, lol. That's what I get for being overconfident.
I also accidentally started knitting the piece backwards somehow, so I've ended up with a band of purl stitches showing on the outside of the hat. I switched it back, though. So I guess I've just got a fancier hat by accident, lol.

Haha, yeah, the rolling rim is a bit tricky to get used to. It's a lot easier if you two K2 P2 for the first inch or two to make a straight rim. It just helps to keep things in line a little better. :)

Yeah. I thought about that, but I wanted the appearance of the rolled up brim that the stockinette stitch causes. It'll be interesting to see how this baby turns out. I've got about four inches up the brim done now. It would've been to the point of reducing, had I not needed to restart it.
This thing might turn out to be a gift for a boy at some point in the future. I used a color of blue yarn that I'm not particularly fond of, and the ridge in it makes it look "masculine" somehow.
Have you ever attempted a beret? I think I'm going to go after that next.

Well, with my backward and left-handed knitting style, most of the videos online aren't much help with different stitches, so doing anything that involves increasing (which I think a beret would) is a bit difficult for me to do. The most complex thing I've done is mittens, and they didn't turn out horribly well.
Aside from which, I haven't knit in ages; I really need to start that up again. My school schedule is incredibly hectic, but I think I'll try to start back up when I'm back on campus in... 26 days! I am SO excited for that, by the way. :D
