@Kitami: Ah, yeah. I had a kinda bad day, too. If you want details you are welcome to go here to read about them. >.>
@Say: (1) do you happen to have a preferred nickname? (2) YES! At least it's summertime and everyone is a little happier for that.

@Say: Alrighty then. :) I like to be called Ely. :D
Summertime is speed boat time in my family. I love it. :) I also love that it's been raining cats and dogs where I live for the last week. It's my favorite kind of weather. People think I'm insane, but I don't want the blue sky back.
@Saro: I saw. You made me feel better. :) Eloquence is not needed in this situation, it's nice to have guys reply, actually. I relish the bluntness of principal that comes from the male gender.
Side note: Could I have used more smileys in this post? Haha.

Ahh. Ziplines. I love them, but I haven't ever been on a truly "good" one and it's been years since I've ridden one at all. I haven't been sick all year, I don't get sick much anymore. I'm a pretty healthy chicka. Had people with the flu and colds around me all year, but didn't catch anything. Something finally just clicked right in my immune system.

Um. I must apologize in advance if I say anything odd, or out of the norm. I've had one too many glasses of wine with dinner. :( After the first I was just using it to wash down the cheese and wurst.
The wine I have is not very good anyway. Kinda sour. XD It claims to be Riesling, but it's not as good as the real German stuff. ... God I sound pretentious there don't I? I'm sorry. XD lol.

@Say: Lol. Ain't that how it always goes down? Your stress probably finally manifested itself. Mine does that to me sometimes, and that's the only reason I've gotten sick in the last five years.
@Saro: Lmao. That's okay. I'm used to it. And I'm the most pretentious chick in the entire world sometimes, you won't offend me unless you're really trying to.

@Saro: NO. LUCKILY. I saw the t-storm warnings all over the T.V. though. There was no way in hell I could've gotten out to cover my car in the downpour and wind, so I'm glad it didn't. Not that we don't get our share of that kind of weather here, though.
Speaking of my ex in the other thread reminds me of the day he sent me a picture of baseball-sized hail, though. Glad I've never seen that in Colorado.
@Say: Mhmm. Winter is like that. This one was weird for us. It was like...Early October weather all year, and it was actually downright hot at points in January and February. Which is odd...considering we don't exactly live that close to the equator. Anyway, it felt like one monotonously long Fall season, and I hated it for the most part.
Stress is the worst thing in the world on a person's body. I speak from much experience, lol.

Ely: It was so strange here, we had snow up into April. Completely awful, I just wanted flowers :P Now its finally warming up and I'm so excited.
I know stress is awful. I usually get the most stressed out in winter, maybe that's why it feels like it goes on forever. Nearly everything goes wrong when it starts to snow.

It's been raining for what's working on two weeks, here. I love it. It's such a relief from the same-ness we've been having for the past year. We had a crapton of snow in the mountains (Colorado) but none on the foothills/plains where I live. Our flowers and grass are very happy, but the lilacs didn't make it this year because of a little cold flash.
I have a touch of Seasonal Affective Disorder, so the winter isn't a good time for me at some points. It's not bad, but when it effects me, it amplifies stress by a few levels. My crap goes wrong around January. Gets better in February because I enjoy Valentine's Day despite the fact I've been single every year during it. Don't know why, just love it. Hopefully that trend'll be ended this year, though. Then March is utter shit. I hate March. I would will it from the face of the Calendar if I could.
April's is okay, but it's spent healing from March. Lol. May is my favorite month of the entire year, along with June.

I like fall as well, it always makes me want to stock up on my school things cause I get so excited for starting the new year. But November and December always seem to be the worst for me. I get pretty emotional and break down alot but I haven't brought it up to anyone because I don't think anyone would believe me and say its not a big deal.
That being said summertime makes up for it with swimming and sunshine. Always brightens me up.

SAD is actually a pretty big epidemic, but you're right: my mum would've thought I was insane had she not been a nurse and read about it during her psychology prereqs.
I despise August. I'm not much for going back to school, though I do enjoy it a little. It's not my favorite passtime. This coming from a chick going into the medical field.

You may have S.A.D. You should try to get more Vitamin D during the winter. It'll help with not getting sick too.

Ely: Haha you remind me of one of my friends who always says how much she wishes she didn't have to go back to school yet she's training to be a vet so she has 7 years left :P
Saro: Thanks, I'll try that. I looked into SAD but I decided not to go to a doctor about it cause I don't really want to be on some sort of antidepressant at only 18. I know its an awfully cliched excuse but my friends wouldn't get it and I don't want to make things any weirder between us.

Well a lot of the newer research says the SAD could be related to a lack of vitamin D from less sun exposure. It might help you to take some supplements. :)

@Say: No one has ever overdosed on Vitamin D, so just go out and get yourself a bottle of the stuff. It's expensive, so just get a small one and take two or three pills a day for a few weeks to see if it helps during that time of the year. :) I take it because it makes my skin healthier and also because of the SAD. I feel a little better emotionally when I'm taking it regularly in the winter.
And yeah. I'm a masochist. All my friends know this.
