No, it's not. I'd thought I'd found my soulmate for a time, so I'll always remember that hurt, but I'll get over it when somebody comes along who understands my old pains and my crazy family. :)

I don't know what it was with him. It wasn't commitment issues, but I think it came down to him thinking I was too good for him, so he shoved away the person who would've stayed with him for a long time if he'd just had the courage to work things out.

Man. That stinks. Sorry...I just made a pun.

Since we've mentioned soul mates, I thought I'd tell a little story. :D I learned this last semester in one of my classes: the idea of soul mates comes from Greek mythology where people were formed as a single joined entity that was either half male, half female, or female-female, or male-male. They split upon birth, so everyone in the world searches for the half of them that they had before they were born. ^_^ I loved that. /end rant

My favorite thing to do is look for stories that gave meaning to things back before everything was explained by science. It gets old, sometimes it's nice to just...believe something for the sake of believing it. :)

Science is...over-rated at times...I think it takes faith out of life..if that makes sense.

I would've been a very happy person to just believe in a world that was magical for its mysteries, not for our imaginings of a lost time.

I think secretly, we all want to be back in a time where we didn't give a crap about atoms in molecules and just wondered at why it was.

Lol, sorry. 1:14 in the morning. I get philosophical. :ninja:

Mulberries-

Pyramus and Thisbe
Quote:
Pyramus and Thisbe were neighbors who fell in love when they became adults. Their parents disapproved, but the lovers communicated secretly, through a crack in the wall separating their houses. One night, they eloped, but Thisbe was frightened away from their rendezvous point, a white mulberry tree, by a bloody-mouthed lion that had just finished a meal. She escaped and hid, but lost her cloak, which the lion mauled and bloodied.

Pyramus, seeing the bloody mouthed lion and the cloak, imagined the worst, and impaled himself on his sword. His blood colored the mulberries red. When Thisbe found him and realized what had happened, she followed him to death on same sword. The European mulberry species has been red ever since.
Ah. I think I'm going to try and sleep again. ><

Ahh. Yeah. Some of those old stories are sad, lol.

I think I'll go to bed, too. I'm tired, and I just finished writing a blog post. Finally got up the courage to do it. :)

The story of Narcissus is kinda sad too. I felt bad for him, and for Echo. Terribly sad.

That's okay. No one seems to get it. lol.

It's st. Peter. Catholic dogma puts him at the gates of heaven with the book of life.

@Saro: Ahhh. Narcissus and Echo. That story is horribly tragic. As is the one of Persephone being drug to the underworld by Hades and tricked.

And, I KNEWS ITTTT! I thought you were either God or something else religious. The gates didn't click, but now I see it. :D

I've been wanting to ask you if you were something like that, but you kept disappearing every time I was going to ask you, lol.
