@Imagination: I mean do you worship any set of pagan gods, and or are you a nature worshiper. Shinto or any native American religion.
@Ely: Lol. sorry about that. I tend to bounce around a bit.

@Ely: Well it was going fine. A bit lonely, but fine. Then someone basically told me I'm the devil because I'm a white male. I had mentioned the fact that despite appearances for the most part I don't have rites anymore.
You know like how I can't tell a girl I think she's pretty because I can be charged with a sex crime.
Or how if I argue with someone who's not white I can be called a racist.
She also seemed to be blaming me for the wage gap, and sexual assault statistics. That was lovely. Of course ignoring the fact that she doesn't know me, or anything.
I'm tired of people judging me because of the circumstances of my birth. I'm not the devil. Why does everyone seem to think I am?

Heya, Kita. Hope all is well.
@Saro: Eww...that's...disgustingly horrible. That's all I have to say about it. Where did this happen? Did she just randomly come up to you and say this?
One of the most offensive things I've ever had done to me happened a couple of years ago when I walked into a coffee shop. This weird middle aged man gave the clerk a note on the back of a receipt and told him to give it to me. The poor boy came up to me, and handed it to me sheepishly. When I opened it up it read, "you should really stop hurting yourself this way, you're too beautiful for that." And I was like, "WHAAAAATTTT??????" I assume he was calling me anorexic...or fat...or a slut...or a cutter...or something of the sort...but I was pissed. He didn't know me, and had no right. I was dressed appropriately, and had my head held high. To this day I will never know what was wrong with that old fart. >.> Some people's kids. :XP

It's in a thread on Christianity.
She and another are blaming Christianity for this country being "male centered" or something.
They don't seem to actually know about my religion.

Not really. I get attacked from both sides too.
I'm a christian who believes in gay rites, and doesn't believe too much in gender.
That leads to attacks from both sides. People who call themselves Christian call me a fag or they say I've been brain washed. Others call me hateful and say that I am the reason for all of their problems.

Ely:: Cleaned up my nana's yard pretty well today. :)
Cut my hands up though, these tiny little cuts that you can't even see, but I sure felt them when I rubbed my hands with Germ-X. :gonk:
Still have no news about my best friend though, and there is no way I can get to her neighborhood, cause I tried. ><
Saro:: I have the same issues. My brother picks at me for supporting the things I do, saying I can't be Christian if I don't believe what I'm "supposed" to believe. >< Its frustrating.

Ahh. See. I'm verryyyy straight, but I do perceive gender differently as well. I believe that men and women are only men and women in form, a.k.a. body. But a soul is gender-neutral, as far as I'm concerned. As are personalities. I don't judge your actions upon what gender you are, I judge them upon who you are, how you act towards me, and what you do.
I've always loved men that some might consider a little "gay." I just like the softer side. If you're a quite soul who reads, knows yourself, and enjoys the gentler/finer things in life, I'm very happy with you. I don't like hyper-masculine personalities, no matter what gender they're coming from.
Do you happen to read fmylife at all? There was this poor girl on there the other day who said she got dumped by a guy when he found out she had a purity ring. All the comments were negative, saying that she deserved it for being such a goody-goody who was stuck in the past. It's been a long time since I was that ashamed of my generation and humanity in itself.

I seem to fade in and out of threads when there happens to be some sort of nice intellectual conversation going on. I like finding that now in the "changed" Menewsha...as opposed to the prior one a few months back where it was some troll posting for gold, with no regard for what is being said, or to whom they are talking to.
To answer your question though Saro, Norse.
Hello again Elysium :)
And last but not least, Hello to you as well Kitami :)

I'm so tired of people doing mean shit all the time. Why is the world so full of injustice? I mean we have free will, why do we use it to hurt and not to help?
Do you know that the government is currently paying farmers not to grow food, while people in India, Africa, and the rest of the developing world are fricking starving to death? There's something wrong with that.

Saro, it's because of this pesky thing called Free Will. We have the power to do anything we so choose. Whether its a particular train of thought, course of action etc.
The world isnt right, or even wrong. It just kind of...is. That is why most religions, faiths, etc all have the same basic message. Be the change you want to see in the world, or treat others how you want to be treated. If it was so easy as to simply "love" our enemies or rivals into seeing things our way, I think we wouldn't have near as many problems today as we do. However because that and other similar "nice" methods have not worked, most of the world has resorted to less...honorable ways of trying to change the world, and others.
Quite sad really..

That is part of the problem though that religion has brought this world, with every light that shown into any sort of room, crevice...while it illuminates, it also casts a shadow.
In this case...while it gives people faith, hope, and other various reasons to act a "better" way...it also gives people excuses or "reasons" to try and do things more forcefully.
This point can be discussed and interpreted in many many many ways...for an almost indefinite amount of time...but the basic concept is this...
Religion both helps and hurts the world...
Am I making sense?
----------
People interrupt things in different ways...so there will always be two sides to everything. Very rarely will we ever agree with both sides, or even just one of them.

@Imagination: Ello, ello, to you again, as well. ^_^ This is the Uni thread, and we have some pretty awesome people/conversations here, if I do say so myself.
As I've said before to people in this thread (though the wording doesn't quite fit, it still makes sense in context), "prejudice was not reasoned into them, nor will it be reasoned out of them." Thus, "stupidity wasn't reasoned into them, it won't be reasoned out..." and "assholeness was not..." you get the gist. :)
@Saro: I think it's atrocious that restaurants and shit just throw away tons of food when they could've given it to homeless shelters. I mean COME THE HELL ON! You're losing the money anyway, why not give it to somebody who will eat it?

@Ely: They do it because they're afraid of being sued. Apparently their insurance companies won't let them do it. ...Assholes.
@Imagination: People will use anything to facilitate their own hatred. Without religion there's philosophy, or even just disagreement.
