Well, I can't remember the last time I liked anything labeled "reality T.V." so that doesn't help my views. Well, pop-culture reality T.V. I like documentaries quite a bit, though.
I can't stand it....it's glorifying something that's a bad thing 90% of the time, and most of the time it's only touching because they don't show the "five years after" when the parents hate each other and resent the baby for ruining their life, or the poverty that they're likely to experience. Again, it's a generalization, I know. But it's the most likely outcome, that's for sure.
Its more of a stereotype than a generalization. :/
I know girls that were pregnant as teens, that are wonderful mothers. And I only know one boy who wasn't a good dad.
Summer isn't even here yet! I can't freaking wait to swim!! I could probably now, but I'm not 100% on the water temperature.
I could have went to the pool in like three days, if the park/pool hadn't got blown away last week. :stare:
Lol. I say really stupid things sometimes. I happened to be walking by that pool today. Ok, and there's no water. So, I said "Where'd the water go?" And my mom stopped, turned around and said "A tornado went over this pool. It sucked the water up." all the time with this expression on her face like "seriously? did you seriously ask that?"
:sweat:
Lol. Don't worry about it. I say some dipshitted things sometimes, too, and every now and then there's an extremely obvious joke that I just don't understand. For example, my dad got this shirt:
And it took me MONTHS to figure out why people kept stopping him and saying it was so hilarious. One day we were out shopping for some things, I glanced over at him, and doubled over laughing my ass off. I think it took me getting my license and hauling everybody else's asses around to fully appreciate it. :XD
Omg. Did you ever like, hear someone tell a joke when you were a kid, and you never got it, and then you heard it when you were a teenager and you were like "Oh. ....OH!" And then you either laughed or got creeped out? XD;;
Yeahhh. I remember thinking that all the shows my parents watched when I were little were idiotic, and now I go back and watch them and I get all of the perverted jokes in them, and I laugh like crazy. I was watching re-runs of The Nanny several months ago, and I remember being so happy about being older because I could appreciate the humor now.
Shows, movies, and just things that were said. :lol:
Like, we had a pair of hermit crabs named Itch and Scratch. When I was seven, I was very proud of them. When I was 14 and had my first "sex and all the bad things that can happen to you if you have it" class in health, I was like "Omg, we had crabs." and I was totally weirded out. :gonk:
That, my parents had their names as a joke and I never got it. And then when I realized that two of my pets were named on a joke about body lice, I was like OMG! One of those moments where something dawns on you and you're like "Whyyy?" :XD
