Black: I dunno... ski lodges would be overdone huh? Maybe like a British pub or something? ...or like a big Christmasy manor or something? or... santa's vacation home at the south pole.

haha um when's the event start?
It's hard for "normal" people. I have visual, physical and health and mental disabilities. It would be CRAZY for me to work and go to school. I'd burn out in two weeks at the most.

I'm too tired after work to function. There's no way I would have done work and school at the same time. I mean... I did, but they were weekend and twice-weekly jobs. Not this... nearly fulltime work that I'm doing now...

...You ever skied in Colorado? ...or anywhere in the us? Fat people use their weight to go faster downhill. lol. Like half of the people who ski are fat.

Skiing is a great way to lose weight too! I want to try seated skiing :D I think it would be fun but I don't think my mom would like to try it because I get hurt so easily.

I'm really durable from what I can tell. I have loose joints, and they get sprained easily, but it usually doesn't even bother me unless it's bad. I don't usually break bones, or pull muscles. However I prefer snowboarding to skiing. :) Easier for me.

I've only skiied in Cali... and honestly, there's not that many fat people here... and I've NEVER seen one on the slopes... Honestly, I'm horrible at snowboarding but I ROCK at skiing. dunno why *shrugs*
Its fun reine, but yes, it can be dangerous.

Yeah... California... I'm from Colorado... bit of bad blood there. lol. but all that aside, skiing is totally different from snowboarding. some people are good at one, some people the other. It's fun either way. :)

The type of skiing I'd do is specially adapted for people with disabilities...i wouldn't be controlling the ski; someone would be helping me and i'd be sitting in it like this:
Silver Star Adaptive Snow Sports
I'd be using a bi-ski because i have problems with both my upper and lower body. I'm also visually impaired.
Good luck on your final Taiyo

I have learning disabilities as well as bi-polar disorder. I can only focus on one thing like that at a time. plus I'm engaged, and relationships take up time. Also there are no jobs if you don't have experience... ironically. lol.
And it's awesome how many people are taking German these days. And are you a linguistics major? You have a ton of languages there.

Haha, mm - that's true, it's super easy for me to find jobs because for a person my age I have a lot of work experience.
I'm a modern languages major, yeah - I just started taking German this past semester and I love it~

Black Cart you've only taken German one semester and are on III already??? I have taken French, Spanish and Modern Greek and only really stuck with French until a year or so ago. Between my health and mood problems I just couldn't keep up with it. I remember most of it though; I'm still pretty fluent.
I started working when I was 15 and stopped at 18. I worked for one day when I was 20...was asked to not come back. My boss "didn't realize my disability was so severe". Long story.
I'm taking:
User Services (again...failed the first time b/c I didn't get all the work done)
Information Sources
Information Practice (Internship)
Introduction to Literature: Religion and Secularity
Oh joy :)

Well I can't pick up anything or walk without dislocating one or more joints (I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), I have poor vision and am prone to fainting. Part of the problem that day was I was so excited about working I forgot to take my meds. And my freaking boss had me rounding up carts which she never asks a woman to do (my mom works there too) and crap like that. She didn't fire me to my face...she told my MOTHER. She later pulled a bunch of other horrible shit and after manipulating and walking all over everyone her ass was finally fired.
I didn't sue because Mom probably would have lost her job.
(PS I have bipolar and Asperger's which in certain situations can be very challenging)

@Reine: Yup, I take "accelerated language courses" because I want to learn as much as quickly as possible. It just means that in one semester I learn a year's worth of stuff. Pretty sweet, so by the end of this year I'll be ready for German V!!! I'm excited!
