I'm going to wait until our anniversary in February (its early Feb, so it won't be that much of a wait). I'm actually going to propose with a Ring Pop and the promise ring is so we have something that's actually permanent.

That's so cute!
I'm going to be going to school tomorrow, because it starts tomorrow. I'm starting to get tired of break though.
I have to ask- how did Hans acquire his taste for human flesh?

I kind of miss school, if for no other reason than the amounts of people that I had something in common with. Though, the deadlines were stressing me out hardcore.

never been stressed at school. ...is that strange? I don't think you should let it stress you. It's about learning things you WANT to learn.

I have to go to two differnet campuses this semester though, since my main campus is smaller and doesn't have math classes this semester.
That makes sense as an origin story for him. I heard (On myth busters I think) that human meat would actually be quite tasty. Although mine wouldn't be quite as tasty since I have funky collagen.

Well, I was balancing a job, a relationship, friends, and art school. And every prof in my art classes was like "MY CLASS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT CLASS, BE DEVOTED TO MINE!" D<

Sounds like all my professors. Though, when you've got a prof that reminds you of a female version of Professor Binns (except that she isn't a ghost), it's a bit hard to be interested in that class.

That sounds like Dr. Davis... except not a female version. Though... I dunno... he does hang around the art building an awful lot after he retired... he might be a ghost.

lol. My professors all told me it was going to be super hard, and I would have to be totally devoted to it, but I just did what I always do. ...Not study, pay attention in class, and then pass with flying colors. ...I'm blessed so much when it comes to that. lol.

I ended up being the favorite student in my classes because I actually looked like I put effort into my work. The prof in my Drawing class pulled me aside once and asked me "Why are all the animation students so lazy and you aren't?" And I'm like... seriously? JUST the animation students? Because a lot of the kids in his class did everything at the last possible moment, and they were Drawing majors.

yeah... art majors are usually lazy people who thought it would be easy... it's not easy. They also tend to drop out about year two. lol. A few people who major in art actually understand art, and want to be real artists. You are an example of the latter. :)

The dropout rate at our school was about 50% within the first two years. I just about lunged at this one girl last year who said "Man, I should have gone into nursing. Art is a lot harder than I thought it would be." But by then it was too late to really change her major. I wanted to kick her and say that she wasn't good enough for the degree she was about to get. And people joined the animation program because it didn't require you to have much background in drawing, thinking that a knowledge of 2D design wasn't important for making a 3D model. And once again... I wanted to injure them. Because while I'm not the GREATEST 2D artist in my graduating class, I at least respected my classmates who were there to pursue traditional work.
And GOD! The Hierarchy! It was just ridiculous. As an animation student, I was the bottom rung of the ladder because I was 'selling out.' And people would get along with me fine until they asked me what my concentration was and then all of a sudden it would be like "I can't talk to you anymore for fear of the capitalism rubbing off on me." Which only progressed the idea that all the traditional art students were stuck up and that the animation students were talentless... and I was stuck in the middle of it all because all I wanted to do was paint some pretty pictures damnit!

See and the thing is that artists end up being the ultimate capitalist in the end. They have to sell their art (duh) they have to take requests (almost every single time) and for the love of God they really think they are better than you because you do animation? I'd like to see them freaking try. ugh. I can do what they do, and I'm doing mostly science classes. ...I hate it when people act all stuck up.
Anyways your comic has inspired me to go draw. lol. ttyl. :)

Speaking of a hierarchy within art, there's a bit of a hierarchy between the lit students at my uni.
I'm doing American and English Literature, which is two thirds American lit, so I'm in the School of American Studies. (AMS)
Most people in AMS do literature.
I've noticed that the School of Literature and Creative Writing has more students who act quite superior. (Maybe that's just because the school of LIT is twice as big)
I think every book can be laughed at (or with, if there's a distinction) and it's silly to take lit too seriously.
Lively, intelligent, but non-deferential discussion is best.

Indeed. Anything has a flaw. Pointing it out can be fun. Try the massive amount of continuity errors in all children's fantasy novels. lol. It's great.

Hey, fellas?
I know that the majority of colleges still don't allow animals, but I'd really like some form of life in my dorm room...Would it be against the rules to have a small plant or maybe even a hermit crab? :<
