Same problem. I have bi-polar two disorder. It makes me depressed most of the time, and a total spaz, when I'm not. Making friends was never easy. I had a few good ones though, who helped me through it. :)

Nice. I'm not bipolar--I don't think. My self-confidence is just crap. I don't think I even HAVE any self-confidence anymore. Which is why I tend to have some seriously emo moments. Until you give me and energy drink--then I'm bouncing off the walls until I crash at like 2 am.

type one switches more often I think. I'm not sure, since I have type two.
Type two is characterized by long periods of depression, which tends to be very deep, with short bouts of hypo-mania. Basically, I'm melancholy most of the time, but sometimes I laugh for a straight hour for no apparent reason. lol.
It's also called bi-polar depression in some cases I believe. I also have slight obsessive compulsive tendencies and other issues, which stem from a lack of male influence in my life, and a few other slight problems. lol.

And you'd call me a girl with a beard. :)
It's not a disorder. Gender roles are mostly nurture. There are a few behaviors which are innate, but you can be nurtured out of them.

Not much female influence in your life? Or...?
In my case, I had no real father. Also from a young age, I liked hanging out with girls better, and wanted girly toys. (easy bake oven.) I had and still have tons of stuffed animals. And to this day, I prefer the company of girls, and am not exactly manly. lol. Aside from the big beard.

 Ah, the easy-bake oven. Even after the tomboyness took hold I still wanted one of those. Guess that just screams that I inherited my dad's baking talent.
As for why I ended up so boyish, it's the fact that my mom's a tomboy and my dad ended up turning into an idiot after he lost his job. Thus, I ended up aging 15-20 years in 10, and since mom basically became both the mom and the dad...yeah, I'm screwed up.

I've acted exactly as I do since I was about eight years old, and I'm more mature than most at my age. Being mature is not a bad thing hon.
