Mmm, IDK some people are just more specific sleepers too, like some of my buddies complain about the mattress a lot. I just sleep like a rock XD

Same here. The noise level in my dorm isn't so bad if it gets crazy AFTER I'm asleep, because I'm basically the living dead when I sleep. But if my floormates are making a racket while I'm trying to get to sleep, then it's a problem. Which is odd, becaues my friends, family and I all joke about how I'd sleep right through the end of the world then wake up in the afterlife and ask "What happened?".

I have a single too...and you probably sleep so well at home because it's your HOME and not just somewhere you sleep

I've literally got two homes. One at college, which is my dorm room, and my permanent address, which I actually like less than my dorm home.

I got very attached to my room in halls, it was a nice little modern ensuite.

Single rooms are the standard in the UK.

Now in my 2nd year, I'm in a shared 4 bed terraced house with friends, which I love.
It's a little grotty in places and we have to organise bills etc, and clean the kitchen and bathroom, but I really like having 3 friends always at hand.
But I also have my privacy, I have a much bigger room now we're in a house.

I'm not living in a dorm this year, but next year I'll be transferring. I'm hoping to room with my sister, who has decided to forgo getting an AA so we're going to transfer to the same college.

That should be entertaining.

Well, I get along really well with her, so it's a natural choice. Plus, we know each others bad habits and stuff.

The opposite of one of my best friends. She and her sister are trying to kill each other half the time.

my sister and i try to kill each other when we share a room...she slept on the couch for five years because of me :)

My bed at home = so much more comfortable. And I have my dog which is a plus...but i love living alone at school because it's probably going to be the only time I'll get to.

Reading all this stuff about dorms and sharing rooms makes me feel extremely grateful that after uni I get to sleep in my own bed at home without the need to share a room.

I live at home. A dorm room would have been an extra five thousand a year, so... screw that. I need money for books, and not getting in giant debt. :)

My uni is WAY too far from my home for me to do that, plus I really like living in the dorms, so hey~ Different strokes for different folks~

Indeed. I luckily have a train that goes directly to the campus, and has a stop right by my house. :) Makes things delightfully easy for me.

Yeah, it's going to be pretty nice, hopefully. My older sister is going back to college, so I may end up at the same college as her at some point also. Which would be sort of funny.

We're supposed to get a epic ice storm today. The weather people are all excited about it like its super rare, but... it seems to happen once a year...

We got it here this morning. Trust me, this is one you'll want to be ready for. It's a buggar of a storm. not much snow, but tons of Ice.
