@Kita: Yeah. My family was having money issues last year because we had to drive back to Iowa twice. Once we went to visit family before heading to Wisconsin for a vacation, and the second time there was a death in the family so we had to go for a funeral. The costs of the gas and hotels...not good.
Yeah, I saw the pic on your profile of your new red hair when I was bored the other day. I think it looks quite lovely on you! =3
I think most agree with you on the long hair. It's just too much to keep up with other daily life problems.
@Ser: I am in such bad shape right now. >.> I couldn't sleep until 5 a.m. last night :gonk:. *grumbles* I'm going to have to reset my inner clock.
Huh. We don't have to bother with visitor stuff at my CC--now the Uni...that's bad. That's really bad.
It's been in the sixties around here lately. I've actually taken out my summer clothes and I like it a lot. :D

Yeah, and then we add this is my week of female trouble. :( the not getting enough sleep isn't helpful.
During the school session they crack down on the parking thing at the CC. The University- I don't remember much of visitor parking there except when mike visited me, he had to park in a certain lot. The school I'm going to this Fall- it's confusing. Thankfully the apartments I'll be living in- there is visitor parking :)
----------
Kids were mean to my little dude at daycare today  My sister-in-law said on her facebook that he was still pretty upset over it when they got home today.

Luckily my female week was last week and I'm in my good week of the month, so it helps--I'm not pissing all over anybody thanks to no sleep.
At the Uni here there's so much pomp and circumstance. You first have to pay for a place to park, then you have to go in and get your visitors pass so that you can put it in your car and move it somewhere closer to where you want to be. >.>
Awh. What did they do to him? I remember daycare--it was shit.

Yeah. I'm surprisingly calm. It's more like me feeling like crap and curling up. ^^"
That's kind of stupid with the uni.
I dunno, all my sister-in-law said was Logan got picked on :/

Understandable. I usually get the pissy part of PMS during the two or three days before it hits, after it hits I'm just in pain and can't move for a day. >.<
It's a pretty big Uni, so it's semi understandable, but still idiotic.
Awh. Kids are such cruel little twits.

Yeah, I went to a smaller university for my BA, my masters I'll be going to a bigger one. So, they have their weird policy with visiting and parking.
Yeah, today I spent the entire day in my pjs. I don't like doing that :( Yesterday I was with mike and crampy and icky, so I spent that evening curled up in his bed and robe while he tried to make me feel better.
I know, I'm still sad he was picked on :( If he still gets upset over it when I see him more when he's older, I will be sure to make sure he feels better ^^ that and let him know I was picked on all through school and to always remember that they do it to make themselves feel better and that he is still awesome ^^ (oh yes and explain karma ^^)

My Uni has about 28,000 students, so in my mind that's pretty big. Finding a parking spot is miraculous if you don't hit it at the right times.
Awh. At least you didn't have to suffer alone. I demand back rubs during that time of the month.
When I was a kid I'd get picked on something fierce due to my psoriasis. I still don't trust people well because of that, but as I got older I realized, the second you stick up for yourself, they shut up. This world really is all about confidence and trusting in your own self. Karma is good too. ;)

o.o I don't even wanna know how many total students UB has. I know at Fredonia, there were over 5,000 of us undergrads. ^^"
Oh I hate it when I get it when I'm at school. :( I want him to be there with me to make me feel better. I wanted a back rub yesterday. I might ask him thursday. ^^ But I did get a foot rub.
Yeah, I had a problem with sticking up for myself when I was younger because of the problems I had to deal with at home. :( Now, I'm fine to deal with the people. I usually just ignore them and think of karma.

:O Wow. That's about how many my community college has.
I have feet trust issues, lol. I'd only ask for back rubs. I really hate it when people tickle me, so me offering up the feet is an act of extreme trust.
I was mean when I was in elementary, I admit it, but that was mostly due to the abject ostracism I suffered from back then. So when I got into middle school it was bad--plus my parents were almost constantly on the verge of divorce from when I was in fourth or fifth grade onto last year. I didn't have the safety net, so I had no concern with trusting people or sticking up for myself until I just got sick of everyone and started telling people off.

Yeah, I was a big cry baby growing up and it didnt get any better when I was in middle school. I was going through issues at home because of my dad's alcoholism (he's been sober for 11yrs now)
I've gotten better with him rubbing my feet. It felt good last night with me feeling icky.
My uni wasn't too big. It was considered a rural campus. ^^" The school I'll be going to in the Fall.. It's like its own city :/

Middle school is a bad time for families for some reason.
I probably wouldn't pass up a foot rub if offered, but I'm not gonna ask for awhile.
Yeah, the fact that the uni's I have to choose from are all 20,000+ attenders is exactly why I didn't go to one of them from the beginning.
An old friend was texting me today (haven't heard from him since last year), and he was telling me how starting off in the big university was really hard for him.

Yeah, middle school is a bad time for a lot of people. Especially since the changes happen around then ^^"
I didn't start off at a uni because of the cost and the amount of people :/ The size would have been major for me. I know people who started at the university and had or having problems getting used to it. I didn't mind the transition from CC to Uni ^^

I try, but I have yet to find one single reason to have taken a different path than the one I took to get to my uni. No one can convince me that the $6000 I saved from going to CC should have been wasted on huge, useless, intro classes at a university.

Oh god yes. People complain about the CC and how horrible it was and how they wouldn't want to go to it and they wanted to go to a good college. But, I throw in the whole "Yeah, but I saved (insert money here) taking the intro classes at the CC"

Pssh. It's like, come on. You failed your freaking intro classes because you took them at a Uni where the prof didn't give one half of a rat's ass about you, and you're trying to tell me you went to the better school? Uh huh.

Exactly. I needed the transition from high school into college to be the way I did it. I went to CC and the profs yes did treat you a bit like high school, but, they started to treat you like an adult also. Plus I got to be at home. I wasn't ready to go live on campus. Once Mike went to the Uni when he transferred, I made the decision to transfer there so I could get away and grow up a bit more. I was ready then ^^ I liked the gradual transition instead of the absolute shock of being away from home at 18.

Every kid I've met that left at 18 has been a person I didn't like. I know there are exceptions, but every time I meet one of those people they think their shit doesn't stink and that the world is going to be exactly what they want it to be. I'm sorry. No. No it isn't. Quit pretending you've got control over everything, because you don't, I don't, and no one else does, either.
When I picture what I would've been without the gradual transition, I shudder. I imagine I would've ended up pregnant. >.>

I have one friend who did well when she went away to the uni right out of high school. It was the right thing for her. She was mature at 18 and could handle it. Which she did. She also found herself then too :)
I would have flipped out and snapped if I went straight into Uni. ^^"

Yeah, it happens. Especially when people have screwed up family lives. Going away might have helped me in that sense, but I don't think it would've made anything else better.
I was really immature when it came to relationships when I started college. I've still got a little of that stigma, but I'm not gullible like I used to be. I would've had guys and people walking all over me had I gone straight to uni.

Yeah, thankfully she came from a pretty good life while we were in school. He parents did a great job with her ^_^
But yeah, I do see that it would be a good thing for those who have a horrible life to get away :D I know once I finished the CC, that was when crap was falling apart at home, so I really needed to get away then. I needed that growing :D
Thankfully I got lucky with going to the CC instead of the Uni when it came to the man thing. ^^" I don't think I would have been too good all the way away from home and all those guys. Especially since a lot of Freshmen at Uni are usually young and stupid with the whole "omg I'm away from mom and dad, I can do what I want!"

Tell me about it. I need to figure out hotel prices....because I want to stay for more than a day or two, and I won't (can't) sleep on the pullout mattress at my nana's for that long, it would kill me, and I can't put anyone else through that hell. Sleeping on it all summer was absolute torture.
Thank you! ^.^ I like myself as a redhead.
Its not just that with me and long hair. Sometimes the length of my hair makes me freak out, because when it was really long was when I was with the abusive boyfriend and he used to pull on it and use it like handles to get me to do what he wanted. ><; That's why I cut it ALL off when I finally left him. XD
God it was SO nice out today! I wish we could have gone to the zoo or something....

@Ser: That's pretty much what tweaks me off about Uni Freshmen. People go nuts when they get their first taste of freedom sometimes. My sis: great example.
@Kita: Mmhmm. If you want to stay in a place that's slightly not a dump you have to cough up $90 a night. That's like two days of pay on minimum wage. Are you kidding me? Less than that and you get your ass into hotels where everything's moldy and covered in questionable substances. >.> Even $90 hotels can be like that. But I do not blame you for not wanting to sleep on a sleeper sofa.
Ahh, yes. That would do it, too.
It's not comparable, but I cut six or seven inches off my hair the last time I got out of a relationship. I was talking to my hairdresser about it back then and she said women do that all the time when they change something major in their lives.
@Both: Yes, it's been wonderful lately! I smell spring, and it's so nice.

I was talking to my dad tonight about how people in my classes will show up for two weeks, and then never come again. He had asked me how many people I thought failed the classes I was in, generally. Sadly, I think it's about half. :/
I heard something the other day about 2/3's of people who start college don't finish it...
