Yeah, I've always wanted to pick up where he left off, but I haven't yet. My little brother is doing a bit of research in his spare time though.
Haha "If you know what I mean...." ;)
o.o That's also cool.
All I know about my family is that once we were important people or at least rich people because there are a lot of places near my home town with my last name. Like, landmarks and stuff.

I dunno much about my dad's family. But I know some of my maternal grandmother's family history, but we know more about my maternal grandfather's history since we're closest to our origins on that side if I'm not mistaken. My grandfather and his siblings are first gen born here in the states and that was back in the 1920s.

@Kita: Yeah, apparently part of my family was richer than heck back in the day because there's some place in Illinois (I think) that my great great grandfather donated the land for to build the city on. As I've been figuring out, if you see anything named Benton in the North, it probably had a little something to do with my ancestors. (that's not my last name by far, so I feel fine saying it)
@Ser: My mom's side of the family is like that. We only go back to the 1920s on that side in the U.S., but my dad's goes back to the 1600s most likely.

yeah, I have no idea when parts of my dad's family came over to the US, I know we have a family crest from England on his mom's side. Just looked up some of the stuff one of my dad's cousins put together, I think we had some family on my dad's family that came over in the 17th century ^^ I think. Who knows ^^"

Yeah, it gets so murky the farther back you go. I should have two family crests from England, but I wouldn't know what the exact ones are.

My dad's cousin has the crest from my paternal grandmother's family which is from England and he has it in a frame. ^^

Yeah ^^" I woke up this morning at 9am to one of my managers asking if I wanted a few hr of work today ^^" I agreed since it was from 12-3pm ^^

I have no choice but to take this speech class because of my degree. I'll need another, I think, for my Bachelor's. It's okay, though, I've always liked speech classes for whatever reason.
Do you just get your rental units to take you to work?

Yeah, I had to take a couple of speaking intensive courses to graduate. One was English 101, the other was Poli 450 (my capstone), a bunch of the Political Science professors went and persuaded the department to put it as one since we no longer had the Research Methods class as a requirement in the department.
Yeah, I texted my dad right after the manager called me to let him know. My dad drives me to work since my mom doesn't have a car. Then depending on the time I work till, either my dad or his girlfriend will come out and pick me up. Lately since I've been working till 9-10pm, my dad's gf picked me up. When I worked till midnight, I got a ride from a friend of mine from work, and then Mike grabbed me on Sat.

I have one hell of an English class next semester. I can't remember if it's a 300 or a 400, but it's going to be fun. I like English, though, so I'm only being half sarcastic.
It's awesome your family is there for you like that.
Ach, well. My uncle went into a coma either today or in the last day or so. Not planning on going to that funeral (I have classes), but it's not sitting well with my mom.

Yeah, The highest English I did was a 300. It actually was fun :) I didn't mind it. I'm not a big fan of English classes though for some reason.
Yeah ^^" I feel bad I have to rely on them so much though :/
Sorry to hear about your uncle  After this year, you deserve a good year. :( I can only imagine how your mom feels after just losing her mother and now her brother (I'm guessing this is your mother's side of the family)

The only classes I really hate are the ones that you go into and the professor says: "This is going to be the hardest class you've ever taken and I'm purposely going to make it harder than it should be." >.> Otherwise, as long as the professor is there to help you...there isn't many courses that I don't like. I just like to learn.
Eh. I rely on my parents for a lot. I don't have much other family so it's just how it is.
Thanks. :hug:s Yeah, losing this uncle...it's not that bad. I mean, it's bad that he's dying..it's awful, but I've never known him well. My grandma was bad. I'll always miss her, but I'm doing pretty good considering.
Yeah, in the span of 3/4s of a year, my mom has lost a brother-in-law, her mother, and now her brother. It's pretty crappy.

Yeah, I took advantage of having a professor to help me with the work as much as I needed. ^^" I hate it when the professor does that or will have us buy all the books but never use all of them. -.-
I have my dad (since my mom doesn't have a car), but I usually get rides from him, his girlfriend or mike. If I can, I'll give gas money.
Yeah hopefully things get better for you and your family soon. This year has just been one thing after the other. :/

My uncle passed this afternoon.
Yeahhhh. I hate it when you have to buy books and then they say you won't use them the second you get into the class. Those books cost too much money for that to be okay.
Aye. I'm okay, though. Famous last words. The worst year I've ever had was that boyfriend shit I went through the year after high school....I guess a lot of things pale in comparison to that. But, I know things get way worse than that, too.

@Ely: :hug:s Sorry to hear your uncle passed this afternoon. Once you said he went into a coma, I figured it was a matter of time. It made me remember when my sister's mom died years ago, she had cancer and was in the hospital, the day before her mom died, she went into a coma, my friend came home from the hospital, found us all and told us and she said that she wouldn't be making it. Sure enough the next day in school, our teacher told us. :/
Yeah, you've been through a lot and things will get better :) Yeah, that's why I don't go batshit crazy is knowing things could be worse and just be happy with things now ^^
I had a fun night tonight and on Saturday I think we're going to the drive-in near by to see Snow White and the Huntsman (mmm Chris Hemsworth ) and Dark Shadows (they're on the same screen Saturday ^^)

Yeah. The second they go into the coma is more than likely the end of it. It's best when they lose consciousness, though...it's far less scary for them, I suspect. I'm not going to go back for this funeral, and neither is my dad. My mom's probably going to fly out there on her own. I have classes, and my dad doesn't have much vacation time left, so it's just her.
Exactly. I can be a worry wort, yeah, but I don't take some things as hard as other people do. I don't claim to have been through very much compared to other people, but I've understood for a long time that there are awful things in this world, and there's almost always something worse out there than what you're going through.
I want to see Snow White, but I think Kristen Stewart is just an awful actress, so I don't know if I'll even waste two dollars on it. Probably gonna end up renting it. I want to see Dark Shadows at the $2, though because it looks hilarious. XD

Yeah, thinking back on it, it was the best way for her to have gone because of that. At least my sister, her dad and the family had the reassurance she wasn't in pain when she passed. Which makes me feel good remembering that.
I try not to worry so much ^^" I still do, but I just have to remember that things will get better and are getting better for me. :)
I just want to see that one for Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. That and Dark Shadows does look funny and we wanted to see that one, and the Snow White one since I was getting happy to want to see it soon. He said we could :D So happy us, they both are on one screen at the drive-in, he's never been to one I think, and it's only $8 per person for 2 movies ^^

*nods* My uncles were both in a lot of pain, I think, so going unconscious was good. My grandma couldn't breathe...so...very happy she went peacefully. Very happy.
I had to kick myself in the ass to keep myself from forgetting that things were getting better for me after my grandma died. I'm feeling more normal, now, though. I've been a lot happier with life in general for the past year. The grief just made me sad for a couple of weeks.
It's a good deal. ^.^ There's a drive-in somewhere around here that I've wanted to check out for awhile.

Yeah, I would rather like to know that a family member went peacefully. Especially if they were in a lot of pain throughout the time.

Yeah, what the problem was with that was we weren't back to being used to me being home with us since we had one of us back at school all the time. It took a bit. That and since I started working back in March, we didn't get to see each other that often, and when we saw each other during the week, it was gaming. Nothing fun, no date night, etc. Now we finally have that day each week, and we have been being a bit more selfish for each other and will make sure we will spend time together and do things more often.
