Growing up, my aunt had (still has) the Sims on her computer. I started playing the first there, then the second when she got it.
I finally got the first game for myself a couple weeks ago at a thrift store. Been looking for the second. Last weekend my friend who lives out here gave me hers because she has the 3rd.
It's my guilty pleasure every night and I end up staying up later than expected sometimes ^^"
Friday I stayed up playing it till 5, almost 6am as a way to not think of things.

What's the gameplay like? Is it one of those games where you have to wait for your energy to rebuild after doing activities, or is it just "do as much as you want"? I hate games that make me wait for stuff for inordinate amounts of time. If I wanted to do that, I'd just go out and do something in the real world.
And hahaha, I've done that before, don't feel bad. They are good ways to escape.

Yeah, it's good to escape stuff, just not all the time. ^^"
Umm, it's basically you play God and you control what your people do and they do have some free-will, but in the end you're in control. That's the best I can come up with.

Do you get to build a house and stuff?
I want to buy a couple games, but don't want to spend too much money. I'm a have to look on the internet and see what prices I can get.

Yup. I actually bought house for the family I made, but I remodeled it to fit the size of the family and their needs ^^
I found it pretty cheap on Amazon. _But, I got lucky and my friend gave me her games. Though soon, maybe after I've had some money go into my account I'll buy the pets expansion ^^

That'd be fun. :) My friend plays the Sims and she has all sorts of Medieval mods in the game. I think that's cool, but I'd probably stick with modern day.

Ouch, lemme guess, lots of assignments this week?
Good luck ^^
I have a lot of catching up to do with my homework since I slacked off this weekend. Friday evening and Saturday I have a bit of an excuse (hate using it though) with my friend's death. But Sunday and today, I slacked a bit ^^"
But, I did make sure to at least get one class' worth of reading done. ^^"
I also realised tonight that I have a Triangle meeting on Thursday ^^" (Triangle is a Masonic youth group for teen girls between ages 10-21 in NYS, I'm a supervisor for the chapter I'm from in Rochester) Since I'm out here in Buffalo, I'm going to meetings to the chapter out here. My friend who lives not far from me is a past Beloved queen and the current Junior Advisor for them. I'm going since both the one out here and my chapter are in the same district. That and I should stay involved. I miss going to meetings ^^"

Yeah, a few assignments and at least one test. Won't be too bad if I just plan it right for once. XP
One of my professors said he has to see obituaries to take the "somebody died" excuse anymore. I think it's pathetic that people use that as a way to get out of stuff when other people are actually suffering.
That'll be fun--I kinda miss doing clubs. I think I'll probably find one later on this year.

Oh if anyone asks for the obits, I can find it online. Heck, my undergrad school sends e-mails out to the entire campus anytime they fly the flags half-staff for a soldier who died in duty (or when a student dies). For the soldiers they send it out letting us know that our govenor called for all institutes and places to fly their flags half staff for the day in honour of the fallen soldier who was a New York State native.
I actually have that e-mail saved.
But then if I were to say something like that in my post in one of my classes, we're all adults, it's believable. And it wouldn't be a total me trying to get out of it. I wouldn't do that to mar my friend's memory.
Yeah, I was part of a school group while at Fredonia, and then now I'm part of at least one group on campus for the LIS department. But, I also have my off campus group, which should be nice to go to.
Yeah, I'm still working on the time management thing ^^"

Yeah, I don't think you'd just be using it as an excuse, but the people in the class I'm talking about are all 18 and over, and yet they straight up MAKE UP deaths so that they don't have to show up for class the day after a hang over. That's just not cool.
Speaking of flying flags half mast, I couldn't figure out what was going on with the flags in my state the last three days, then I realized tomorrow was September 11th. It's been so long now that I almost forgot. :(

Ok, that's just wrong people would do that. I wouldn't think of doing that at all just to have another day off. I still go to class and do my work. I was just happy I made sure to get some reading done on Saturday.
I still went to class 10 min after I found out another friend of mine whom I am really close with was in the hospital for trying to commit suicide. (But then I also was calm about it because their mom posted that they were in the hospital so I was calm because at least they were getting help)
Yeah, I almost forgot till I looked at the date and my cousin posted a picture of the Ambulance he usually rides in:

He said he gets over 20 people a semester trying to say that someone in their family died who actually didn't.
I've shown up to classes in some pretty sorry states, myself, because I knew I had the responsibility to be there for one thing or another. Then, I've skipped for some pretty stupid reasons, but never when I really needed to be there.
I wasn't really affected by 9/11, but I still feel really bad for everyone who was. I'll probably light a candle tomorrow for them.

Yeah, that ain't right. But then, some people are just that messed up.
Yeah, I would show up a bit hungover if it came to it, but I never had to worry about that since I don't drink much if at all on school nights. It would have to be some special occasion if I was. But most of the time I don't. I know I will show up sick. My first semester at Fredonia I was really sick the first month, one of my professors was kind enough to let it pass that I was showing up a few min late for a bit because he was happy I was showing an effort of even showing up to class. But, I was still late most of the semester because 9.30am is a really bad start time for me. ^^"
I mean come on, I pay for this in the end, I might as well take advantage of it and go to classes, take responsibility and be an adult.
I really wasn't affected much by it either, except I was worried my cousin and my brother's friend were going to be deployed. I was only 14 when it happened so I didn't fully get it that my cousin Michael (my EMT cousin's older brother) wasn't going to be in combat zones. But, I was still worried about my brother's friend Michael being deployed because he was in the Marines. ^^"
I'm gonna head to bed. Work in the morning ^^" Then class :/ tue and wed are my long days ^^"
Night.

We're such lazy people, lol. There are so many people who would kill to not have to be somewhere until 9:30 a.m., but I can barely do 10 a.m. In my defense, it takes me almost an hour to get from home to my seat in class, though. Not counting the time it takes to get ready in the morning.
Pretty much. It's a lot of money to waste.

Yeah, even when I was in high school and my education didn't cost and arm and leg, I still dragged my sick butt to school in the mornings. My nurse yelled at me a bunch of times about it ^^"
9.30am was hard because those days, the half hour start times threw me off while I would get ready to go to class ^^"

I'm more lenient now on missing stuff because of how far I drive to get to class. If I'm sick, and not in the right state, I can't drive 20 miles to get to class, but when I was in high school and I just had to walk three blocks, nothing stopped me from getting to school other than "omg, is that death I see standing there?" kinda sickness.
Yeah, those are kinda weird. I had classes start at 20 after and that always screwed me up. I'd be like "oh, I've got ten minutes." Lol, NOOOT.

Yeah, I can see missing because you have to drive. All I have to do is hop on a bus. The only thing I wouldn't do is go to work if I was that sick.
I'm paying out of my butt for this schooling (which is still not as expensive as other schools)
I'm glad I don't have too weird of start times. My tue and wed classes start at 4.10, which is strange only because I go in the room at 3.50 and realise, "oh I have 20 min before class ^^""
