But... but... darn, you're right... they serve a cultural and social functions x3. Still, regardless of how talented and devoted athletes are most sports still revolve around getting a ball from one end to the other. I just don't understand it xD.
Eh, not a huge Madonna fan anyways. Hehe, if I was rich and famous I'd be tempted to do something like that too!
I don't understand why guys watch gymnastics or volleyball to gawk at women and then watch football to watch men beat the stuffing out of each other. It just feels like they're just going halfway. That's not proper. You take the two and put them together and you get... gladiators. That'd be so cool! Lions, tigers, and bears oh my. I don't much care for watching scantly clad women but gladiators I'd watch. Now there's a sport that has something for everyone at once!

Hahahaha! That's what I've always said to people when they ask why I don't watch sports. It's like: "seriously, why would I want to watch a ball being dragged up and down a field?" But I've also always said that if I ever had kids I'd rather they do some sport that's going to get their bones broken than have them go out and do drugs. Bones the insurance will cover.
I like a couple Madonna songs, but I'm not a big fan of her as a person. That's pretty much how it goes with most famous people for me. If I don't like them as a person, I probably don't like what they produce either.
Mmmm. Gladiators. I love ancient Roman stuff, and some of my favorite shows are Spartacus and 300. I don't think I could handle watching it knowing it was real, though. </3
If I disappear and come back randomly it's because I'm sitting here trying to read Latin *cough* research studies *cough* while I'm replying.

Exactly! I wonder if we should make a club... I love ones that have food at every meeting. I love those little sandwiches, so yummy. I'll probably do the same if they don't find something they want to do first x3. "Play outside and get hurt or I'll sign you up for soccer!"
Sometimes they're great people and they aren't talented. Which is kind of sad, it's hard to find great people with great (musical) talent. There are some though!
Same here unfortunately (darn, I could have made so much money! All those sales through pay per view... lost).
That's okay ^^. I'm working on my language stuff too for University tomorrow. I thoroughly enjoy it and the homework. I just despise the tests. D:

@Ser: Oh shoot, your post got buried in there and I didn't see it. Anyway, yeah, I couldn't even laugh it was so bad. >.>
@nonsense: Oh, we'd have to have a smorgasbord. I demand tiny sandwiches, brownies, chips and salsa, cheese platters...
I'd force Girl Scouts on a daughter if I didn't "hate" them so much. I can't stand those boring meetings and all that singing around the campfire bs.
There are a couple singers I've actually stopped listening to because they're such awful people despite their talent. John Mayer is the one that comes to mind atm. But yeah, the lead singer from the Foo Fighters is a really nice person.
You could create a WWE version of Gladiators....I want half the royalties now.
I know how you feel. What language are you studying?

Yes! Those wonderful things. I'm so hungry now. D: I shall go make myself some tiny sandwiches.
I agree, it's a little dull. It's kind of sad, bah! When they're in High School they could do Venture. If it's a boy there's always Boy Scouts! Plus that Eagle Scout looks fine and dandy on a resume. It's already opened a few doors for me ^^.
John Mayer ><. So talented (especially as guitarist) but his personality it abysmal. And a great band to boot!
I shall... oh man. I don't have TV so I have no idea who to contact. D: We're doomed!
Spanish at the moment, I live in Texas so it'll be helpful to be semi-fluent. I'm currently debating what other language to learn (and live where it is spoken): Russian, Mandarin, or Arabic.

I only ate once today, so I'm just hungry despite the conversation. I'd go make a sandwich but I don't want to waste the time. >.>
I got forced into the Girl Scouts when I was in high school and ended up getting a huge award from them. Still hated it. It was a good thing, though.
I thought John Mayer kinda looked like a douche bag, but when I finally got around to looking him up I was appalled. I've never seen so much hate from one person.
I did the typical four years of Spanish in high school, and it comes in handy now and then. I live in Colorado, and we have our share of Mexicans. Not as many as Texas, obviously, but it's definitely the second largest ethnicity group next to white.
Out of those three I would choose Mandarin based on the fact that the Chinese are taking over the world, but I'd choose Russian if I were basing it on where I wanted to go.

Psssh. Go eat something! D: How can you work on a empty stomach?
So it's like those classes you have to take that don't pertain to your degree! x3
It's really sad how some people can be so talented and yet so terrible. I prefer the ones who are talented and just a little crazy x3.
Yep! One of the fastest growing populations too. In some of my neighboring cities the populations are mostly Hispanic. Yummy, yummy food.
I'd love to do Russian just to live in Russia for six months or so. Arabic's very useful for what I'll be doing career wise. Russian or China would be so much funner! The government's still pouring money from everything else into counter terrorism and it'll be pouring for a long time too. So the Middle East is a hot spot.

I didn't emerge from my hole until 4 p.m. this afternoon, so technically this would be my lunch considering the last time I ate. It's not as bad as it seems.
The town that I grew up in has an enormous Hispanic population nowadays. Unfortunately the town hasn't benefited from it, and we moved out because it was beginning to turn ghetto and it wasn't the best place for me to be anymore school wise, etc. There are some good Mexican restaurants there, though. ^.^
Russia is really pretty in the Summer, but I don't think I could take a winter there. I'm not quite that hearty of a person. I'm not big on the Chinese culture, or any Middle Eastern culture, but China would win by far out of those two choices. Of course you've got to do what you like best. :)
Now to get a tiny snack. ^.^

Oh my O.o. That's a little past the usual "till noon" Sunday sleep in x3. Eat!
It's so sad when that happens. That's exactly what happened to one city nearby but it's starting to get really nice again and it's keeping all of it's Hispanic influences. Yummy food and great shops.
Have you been? It looks absolutely stunning. I dunno about the winter, I guess it depends on where in Russia you are. Siberia would be a terrible place all year round. I'll follow the bank roll x3.
By tiny you mean a massive sandwich, chips, potato salad, fruit salad, a glass of lemonade, and brownies and ice cream?

My roommate is from China.
@Nonsense: It's a celtic cd by Howard Baer. ^^
I sleep in Sat-Monday. ^^" A couple weeks ago, those days I slept in till maybe 2pm because I was sick and had worked tue-fri and was up at 9.30-10 in the morning and 2 of those days I had class 4.10-6.50 :(
I usually eat 2 major meals a day on the weekend. Then have snacks through the day and when I have dessert. Those are small.
During the week, I make myself eat breakfast at 9.30-10 before work, work till 3, eat at 3 after work. Don't eat again till maybe 8-9pm ^^"

Yeah, I know. >.> I don't usually do that--first time that happened in about half a year, actually. I stayed up too late last night, and then I woke up at about 12:40, but closed my eyes and magically lost an hour by the time they opened again. Then I just sat in my room and read before I went up, ate, washed and detailed my car, then came back to start my homework.
We're hoping the city gets back on its feet. It's such a beautiful location that it's really sad that the economy there went to pot. The town government just refuses to do anything that would fix the problem, and it keeps seeping farther down the crapper.
Nah, I've just seen it on T.V. and such so much that I know I'd choose that over some place else. I also want to see Switzerland and Germany for the same reasons. Man, those places are beautiful.
I am not a man! I cannot eat all that! Okay, I can, but I'll still deny it.

I should get myself lunch meat sometime ^^" I don't have any :/
I would love to go to Europe. Go to Sicily (my maternal grandfather's family is from Sicily), Germany, Britain. My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Finland for our honeymoon when we get married in a few years (which is why I'm teaching myself Finnish)
I hate knowing I can eat a decent amount of food. Nothing close to the amount Mike and his brother can eat thankfully ^^"

We've still got chicken upstairs, but I'm saving that for lunch tomorrow. I need to take some--I haven't been taking lunch, and although I don't have long school days (so I can survive without it) it isn't good.
Mmmm. I would go to Germany, France, Switzerland, perhaps Denmark, but definitely Ireland, Scotland, and England. And I will. :) I'm semi-thinking about doing a two week study abroad program next summer to Costa Rica or some such.
I can eat as much as a man if I'm starved enough or the food's just that good...but I try not to, and usually I'm way full before I do.

I like to eat, but I like to eat good food, so I often don't eat just because I don't want to eat a bunch of junk and/or something that doesn't taste good. I usually eat two decent sized meals a day, and then have a snack in place of a third meal.
My big problem is staying hydrated. You've constantly got to carry around water or something in Colorado. High altitude and blazing sun makes for baaad dehydration.

You get used to it eventually. Coloradans are a bit like camels. Eventually your body starts to realize that it needs to conserve water, so you start having to drink less of it than if you weren't accustomed to the climate, but still more than the average person who lived elsewhere. A lot of people pass out when they go on vacation to Colorado because of the water thing.

Yeah, it's just a logic thing. Or lack thereof. A lot of people who come here don't realize that 11,000 feet above sea level equals 11,000 feet closer to a burning sun. Or if you're in the foothills, 4-5,000 feet above sea level.
