Rose blushed a bit more, but leaned up and kissed him soundly.

"That's good, then," she said softly. "Because I do too."

Damien smiled lazily against her lips. "Good." He pulled her closer, if possible, and kissed her again, very thoroughly. At this point he didn't even care if any of her family saw.

Rose melted against him, returning the very thorough kiss. Had she been standing, her knees would have gone weak.

"Careful," she finally murmured around the kisses, "We still have to be decent enough to be seen in public."

"Only while we're here." Damien kissed her again. "But if you really want to stop..." Of course he was purposefully misinterpreting.

"Don't you dare stop kissing me," Rose murmured to him. "You know exactly what I meant."

Damien laughed quietly and continued quite happily. That was one order he had no problems obeying.

After a few more minutes, Rose broke the kisses to catch her breath.

"Sera and Taylor won't let us live this one down for a while," she said. "Just be cause we just got back from a wedding."

"I've got some dirt on Taylor I can use to make him shut up," Damien muttered. "You have to deal with Sera, though."

"I think I've got some sort of blackmail on her," Rose agreed. "I have to, I know her too well." She cuddled closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder so her face was next to his neck.

Damien hummed his agreement, settling down there with his arms around her. Now he was a very happy kitty.

"You're purring," Rose pointed out softly after a moment. "Might want to be careful with that until we get home again." Not that she didn't like it, of course she did. But she didn't want her relatives catching on.

"No one else can hear," Damien said quietly, not even bothering to open his eyes. "And if they're close enough to tell there's something wrong."

"If you're sure," Rose replied. Hey, she didn't mind. She sighed softly, pleased for the moment.

Damien grinned briefly and settled down there for a while. Until he figured they should get up and get ready to go to the trails.

"Come on. Time to get up again. Or you'll miss the horses."

"Mmm, but I've got you," Rose teased as she reluctantly got up and stretched. "I just need to put on real shoes. Jeans and a tee are fine for where we're going."

Damien nodded. "Then shoes would be helpful." He grinned briefly. "Sure I have to have a shirt?" Now he was just teasing.

"I won't be responsible for what I do if you don't," Rose replied tartly, grinning a bit. "Such as beat my cousins off of you with a stick. Or jump you myself, one of the two."

Damien laughed at that but got up, helping her up. "Perhaps after we're back, then," he said with a grin.

"We'll see," Rose replied as she accepted his help. When she was on her feet again, she kissed him. "Come on, we need to go before we're left behind. And my family will do that."

Damien snorted and sidetracked briefly to get shoes before he made his way with her over to the vehicles so they could go.

Rose slipped her own shoes on and went with him to the cars. The drive to the start of the trails was short, and there were plenty of horses to rent, so they had no problems there.

Damien found a good sturdy horse that didn't freak out when he approached and picked that one. Hey, he wasn't planning on doing anything too adventurous anyway, so he just needed a dependable horse.

Rose immediately went over to the one she'd ridden every year since she was fifteen. The horse knew her, and held still for her while she got up into the saddle. Her cousins all went to their 'own' horses, and she waited for everyone to be ready.

Damien had no desire to be at the front of the group, so he stayed back near Rose. Hey, this was his first time riding in a few years. He was allowed to take it slow.

Rose stayed back with Damien, comfortable enough on her own horse. She grinned a bit in challenge when her cousins cantered on ahead, and she nudged her horse on to follow them, glancing at Damien for him to follow her.
