Damien chuffed and let her for the moment, until he started thwapping her with his tail playfully.

"Hey!" Rose used her arm to fend off his tail, although she made sure not to grab it. At least they were both having fun.

Damien chuffed again and kept it up, distracting her enough that he could roll her onto her back and pin her down there.

Rose was pinned before she realized it, but she didn't mind. She was enjoying herself for the moment.

Damien leaned down and nosed her gently, chuffing again. His tail was waving lazily.

"You're enjoying this too much," Rose accused softly, teasing a bit.

Damien just purred in reply and butted her stomach gently, nuzzling her. Hey, he wasn't hurting her so he figured he had some free reign.

Rose cuddled with him for a bit. Hey, she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to cuddle with her boyfriend, tiger or not.

Damien stayed there, content for the moment. Hey, this was a good enough approximation of the intent phase of courting that it passed.

As much as Rose wanted to continue enjoying the night with him, she couldn't fight off the yawn that escaped her. She wasn't used to staying up so incredibly late, and it had been a long day on its own even before the night trip.

Damien moved off her and nudged her again. Time to get back now.

But he kept in mind to ask her again in case she'd changed her mind about late night walks.

Rose got up when he nudged her and walked back towards civilization again with him. Because yes, now real sleep was starting to sound good. But she would admit, she had fun on the walk.

Damien escorted her back to the bed before he changed back, confident now that she couldn't get into any more trouble. And now he could get some sleep too.

Rose moved over to give him space to get into bed and snuggled close to him when he did. It only took her a moment to fall asleep like that.

Damien was rather reluctant to get up the next morning; he was warm and comfortable and he had Rose with him. He snuggled closer to her with a grumble.

Rose snuggled closer in her sleep. She was more than happy to keep sleeping; she was warm and comfortable and being held snugly in Damien's arms. Best way to sleep ever.

Damien grumbled again when sunlight got in his eyes and yawned, starting to wake up very reluctantly.

Rose started to wake up when Damien moved, and she mumbled something incoherent and snuggled closer.

Damien groaned quietly and rolled over, trying to get comfortable and go back to sleep. He liked sleep, damn it all, and he wanted more.

"Stop moving," Rose mumbled as she tried to get comfortable against him again. "Was comfy."

"I know, but it's time to get up or you'll miss breakfast entirely." Damien yawned briefly. "Besides, I thought you said something about ice skating today."

"That's this afternoon," Rose murmured back as she got comfortable again snuggled into his side. "And I ache from the trail ride yesterday, anyways." Not just the trail ride, but mostly.

Damien snorted and stayed there. "Little bit longer then," he said, giving in. It wouldn't hurt to sleep for a little bit longer, he reasoned. If they weren't even leaving until this afternoon.

"We can get our own breakfast later," Rose added as she snuggled in. "Not difficult."

Damien chuckled quietly and stayed there, just relaxing with her again. Okay, yeah, maybe he could go back to sleep for a bit.
