"Everything's fine," the woman repeated, still staring at Rose. "You and your friend are going to come with me."

Rose took a hesitant step forward, and then back again, shaking her head.

"This... this isn't..." she trailed off again, blinking rapidly.

"Come with me," the woman said, lowering her voice so she sounded a little more seductive. It worked on humans, but some were a little more resistent. Either this one had a stronger mind than her friend, or the friend had just been spending too much time with the incubus she could smell.

Her voice made Rose shudder a bit, although she wasn't entirely sure if it was a bad shudder or a good one. Her head was all muddled up, but it was a familiar kind of muddled, as if she'd felt it somewhere before. But she couldn't think straight enough to remember where she'd felt it, or even where she'd been heading before this woman had showed up.

"Come with me." The woman pulled her forward gently, fingers gentle against Rose's skin. Sera was already quite happily under her influence.

When the woman touched her, the last of Rose's protests vanished and she stepped forward. She'd completely forgotten what she had intended to do earlier, or where she was going. It didn't seem important anymore.

The woman nodded her satisfaction and led the two of them away from the back area and out of the park. Damien had always had strange tastes, but a human? Disgraceful. She would simply have to eliminate the problem for him.

A little while later, when Sera hadn't come back to the office, Taylor put a call down to Damien.

"Have you seen Sera?" he asked his friend. "She's been gone a while, and hasn't checked in."

Damien frowned. "No, I haven't seen her since this morning when she ran past because she was late."

And, come to think of it, he hadn't seen Rose all day either, which was odd. They normally sent each other little texts or things during the day to make sure everything was okay.

"That's weird," Taylor murmured. "She left a while ago without saying anything, and she hasn't checked back or anything like that."

Damien frowned. "You don't think she got into the Zoo, do you?" he asked quietly. He knew Taylor would know to whom he was referring.

"It's possible," Taylor admitted. "There's no legitimate reason to ban her from the zoo that security will accept. She could have enticed her way in." And that was a scary thought, especially since Sera and Rose had been exposed to a siren before.

Damien started swearing colorfully. "I don't know if I'll be able to track them," he growled, getting up and starting to pace. Because he knew she was smart, and she'd find a way to get them in a car or otherwise do something he couldn't follow.

"I know Sera's energy by now," Taylor said. He knew his friend was already pacing. "I'll know where she is, if I can get close enough to her." 'Close enough,' however, was closer than he was at the moment.

Damien nodded, trying to think like his ex. "Okay. Umm... she'd take them somewhere quiet, where they wouldn't attract a lot of attention."

"There are a few places in town like that," Taylor said, thinking. "The cemetery, the old warehouse, maybe the park."

"A few abandoned buildings. Yeah. I know. But there are too many scattered across town. I don't want to leave them with her longer than necessary."

"Where would she most likely take them?" Taylor asked. It was a different question this time: where would she be most likely to tolerate the longest?

Damien was quiet for a few moments. She was something of a diva, and she didn't like graveyards; she said they stank. Abandoned houses would be too disgraceful for her, and too ramshackle. The park... maybe.

"The park or the old warehouse," he finally settled on. "Those would be the only two places she'd tolerate."

"Pick one and we'll go look," Taylor said. Because they needed to find the girls, and maybe kill Damien's ex. Because the bitch deserved it this time.

"Warehouse," he said after a moment. Because his ex was a drama queen, and she could get a better reaction out of being in the old warehouse. He shuddered to think what she'd done with the girls, though.

"Meet me at the cars and we'll go. I don't care who drives."

"On my way," Taylor replied. He would make sure to drive. He didn't trust Damien at the moment to be anything more than human-shaped, let alone civil enough to drive.

Damien made it there first, but he didn't have to wait long for Taylor. He was already thinking of just ripping into his ex when he got there.

Taylor had the keys in his hand already and pushed the button to unlock the car. Normally, he would have made some smart remark about not putting claw-marks in the seats, but now just wasn't time for that. So he just turned the car on and put his foot down, taking off towards the old warehouse.

Damien stayed quiet for the ride there, his eyes dark as he waited. He was not pleased with this. He was already contemplating violence when they got there, and he was out before Taylor even really stopped the car. He stopped before he entered the building, though. Something smelled... weird. Off.
