Damien snorted. "There's coffee and hot water for tea, and toast." He kissed her lightly before moving past her to go shower and get dressed for the day. Fortunately he didn't take long, and came back down in jeans and a dark green shirt.

Rose was working on a slice of toast, with a mug of tea in front of her. She glanced over when he walked in and watched appreciatively. "I like that shirt on you," she said.

Damien grinned. "I don't get to wear shirts like this too often," he said, dropping down across from her and stretching his legs out so his feet bumped hers under the table. "It's nice."

"It's a good color for you," Rose said. She grinned. "I like it." She tapped one of her feet against his a bit, playing.

Damien grinned and played with her for a minute before he stretched.

"Well, let me know when you're ready to go. I just need shoes and things."

"As soon as I finish up breakfast," Rose replied. She took a sip of her tea as she spoke.

Damien nodded and let her finish up, going to make sure he had everything he needed, throwing together an overnight bag while he was upstairs. He added extra clothes for her, too. And then he thumped back down the stairs to check on her.

Rose was just finishing up her tea and washing out the mug when he came back downstairs.

"Ready when you are," she said, setting the mug in the drying rack and going to slip her shoes on.

Damien nodded and pulled his shoes on before grabbing his car keys and locking up the house behind him.

"Feel free to put on whatever music you'd like. This will take a little while." He shot her a smile as he started driving.

Rose nodded and reached over to adjust the radio a bit. Then she smiled at him and settled in for the ride.

Damien found a parking spot in the middle of the town, which was quaint and very touristy. The main street was nothing but shops and restaurants, and the whole tourist area had an assortment of shops, a few inns, and some squares and other things.

"Here we are."

Rose grinned when she saw the place.

"I love it," she said. "It's practically adorable."

Damien laughed quietly. "I'm glad you approve," he said, stretching briefly as he got out. "Hungry yet or do you want to go look around some first?"

"Lunch sounds good," Rose replied as she got out of the car as well. She grinned a bit, teasing. "And then I get to do some shopping."

Damien chuckled. "I did bring you here for a reason," he teased, starting to look around. He'd been here a few times before, so he remembered the good places to eat. "Come on. The place I have in mind isn't far."

Rose grinned a bit and walked with him, reaching over and taking his hand. "What kind of place is it?" she asked.

"Sort of Dtuch/German. They've got good food, and there's a bakery next door in case you can't find anything that sounds good." Damien pulled her a little closer, keeping her hand in his.

"Something new, then," Rose said. "Sounds like fun." She moved a bit closer to him, although it would have been a bit hard to cuddle and walk at the same time.

Damien led the way to the restaurant, letting her pick where they sat. He already knew what he wanted to get, so he just relaxed and gave her time to decide.

Rose settled into her seat, taking a moment to just look around at the place before perusing the menu. It was a comfortable little restaurant, with a casual feel, and it made her relax a bit.

"I like this place," she commented to Damien.

Damien nodded, grinning. "A couple of my cousins run the place. And it's been a while since I've seen them. So don't be surprised if our table gets momentarily swamped when they discover us."

"Thanks for the heads-up," Rose replied. Grinning, she leaned over and kissed him. "I'll try not to be too surprised."

Damien grinned briefly. "Here comes one."

A man a little shorter than Damien but with more defined muscles stopped at their table. "Well, well, well! Look what finally dragged itself in!" He grinned and crouched down so he was on a level with them. "How're you doing, Damien? And who's the lass?"

"I'm fine, Dante. Been busy with work." Damien grinned briefly. "This is Rose."

Dante blinked. "Human?"

"Yeah."

"Oh your mum's gonna skin you, kitty."

"Shut up, pup."

Rose couldn't help but bite her a lip a bit to fight back some laughter. Yeah, it was obvious they were family, even aside from the resemblance.

Damien rolled his eyes. "Rose, this is my cousin Dante. He shifts into a canine most of the time. Because he's weird."

"Coming from the freaking bengal tiger?"

"At least tigers hunt things properly."

"Hey! Wolves hunt too!"

"Yeah. In packs."

"Well if you settled down and had a pack of your own..."

"Already working on it." Damien smirked and slid his arm over Rose's shoulders.
