"I need to see how things work out," Rose replied. As it stood, her whole week was taken up by work, either at the library or at the zoo. Then again, her work at the library wasn't really work, because she was allowed to work with both the kids and the books, which made her happy.

"On the contrary, my dear," Taylor said to Sera. He thought for a moment before filing an idea away for later.

Damien nodded. "Well, I wish you luck with that. Hopefully you still have some time to kick back and relax."

Sera couldn't help but smile and blush just a little bit at that remark. "So, anything new with you?"

Rose blushed a little at the attention she was getting from Damien. She wasn't used to attractive guys paying attention to her.

"Aside from the lovely lady whom I somehow keep running into?" Taylor replied. "Nothing much." Okay, so he was flirting, so what. He was an incubus, it would have been strange if he wasn't flirting with her.

Damien smiled a little. "Well hopefully you'll enjoy being here. Most everyone is nice, things are fairly laid back, so."

That made Sera blush a little more and duck her head, embarrassed. But she was secretly pleased too. She licked her lips and looked at him again. "I guess you must not have a ton to do, to be able to just come to lunch whenever we pop up."

"I hope so," Rose replied, still blushing a little.

"Actually, we ran into you by complete chance today," Taylor said. He grinned a bit. "Damien and I had decided to meet up for lunch to chat for a bit, and we saw you both."

"Don't worry so much. If you need help I'm sure someone will help you, or I can help you too." Damien smiled at her.

"Oh. Well, that's excusable this time." Sera smiled at him.

"Thanks," Rose replied, "I appreciate it."

"I'm glad you approve," Taylor said to Sera, a little teasingly.

Damien nodded. "My pleasure, Rose." He smiled at her.

Sera merely grinned at the teasing. "Nice to know you have approval, isn't it?" she teased right back.

Rose smiled back, and then jumped when her cell phone buzzed, alerting her to a text. She checked it quickly, sighed a bit, and sent back a reply before putting it away.

"Sorry," she said. "Someone needed to know a good resource for general information."

Taylor grinned at Sera.

"Always a good thing," he agreed.

"No problem," Damien said with a grin. "Sometimes I get texts when I'm off. Although those are usually more along the line of "Damien you're cat's going crazy get your ass over here!"" He chuckled.

Sera grinned and stretched a bit. "I am not looking forward to going back to work," she muttered.

"No, this one was 'where do I start looking for the Grimm brothers?'" Rose said. "I tend to favor the Encyclopaedia Britannica." She grinned. "I find it knows everything."

Taking out a pen, Taylor wrote down his cell phone number on a napkin and passed it over to Sera.

"In case you ever get too bored," he said.

"Most everything," Damien corrected. "But yes, they are wonderful." He couldn't help but smile.

Sera took the napkin and smiled. "Thanks. I may need it after today." She hesitated for a brief moment before she tore the napkin in half, scribbling her number down quickly and passed it to him. "In case you need some sanity. Or insanity."

Rose blushed a bit when he agreed with her.

"It's still my favorite resource," she said, "whether or not it's complete."

Taylor grinned and tucked the number into his pocket.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said to Sera.

"Well everyone's allowed a favorite," Damien said with a grin. "I happen to like a couple of sources, depending on what I'm looking up."

Sera smiled at him rather shyly and looked back down at the remains of her food, pushing them around her plate.

"Well, that's what I'm here for, now," Rose pointed out. "Database management and all that."

Taylor gave Sera a smile, though he didn't actively use any of his 'talents' on her. No sense in scaring her off, not so soon.

Damien chuckled. "Very true," he admitted with a smile. "And hopefully you will enjoy the job."

Sera glanced over to the side when she heard a bird cawing above them.

"I'm sure I'll settle in well enough," Rose said.

Rose lingered in the corner as the other employees mingled together. She wasn't really into parties at all, so she tended to hover near the outer edges of the crowds. She glanced around, but she didn't really recognize anyone right away.

Sera had been invited along by Rose to help keep her sane, and she stayed in the back with Rose. "Well, only another two hours or so to go," she muttered. "At least we get free food, right?"

Damien was in the middle of things, unfortunately. He didn't really want to be, and as soon as he could get away he moved away, off to the side to get some air.

"I hate things like this," Rose said. "There's a reason I picked a career that includes more inanimate objects than people..."

While Damien was uncomfortable in the crowds, Taylor was thriving. He was in the center of everyone, and he was completely aware of the fact that he had the attention of most of the women in the room, and a few of the men. He almost-literally inhaled all of the attention and feelings, and enjoyed it.

"Yeah, I know. Job hazards, though." Sera shrugged and stayed back there.

Damien leaned against a wall, taking the time to relax for a bit before he had to rejoin the crowds. He wasn't that big of a people person, not like Taylor.

Rose glanced around the room again, but there were enough people that she didn't immediately see Taylor or Damien.

Taylor somehow managed to push his way out of the crowd and went over to where Damien was.

"Aw, poor kitty," he teased, making sure they weren't overheard. "I know you hate people, but you don't need to look so murderous."

Sera sighed. "Come on, let's go get something to drink and just calm down for a bit."

"I don't look murderous. I'm just not happy with being in a crowded room full of investors who just want to rub elbows with us." Damien curled his lip just a little.

Rose nodded.

"Let's go see what they have," she said.

"Keep glaring like that, and they'll all leave you alone," Taylor pointed out. "I won't tell you you need to loosen up, because I know you by now."

"Sounds good." Sera made her way over to the buffet and drink table. She blinked when she saw Taylor and Damien off a little farther up.

"Just because you enjoy attention doesn't mean everyone does," Damien said, rolling his eyes. "Freaking incubus." He did keep his voice down though.

Rose followed Sera, though she was still a little oblivious. She didn't see Taylor or Damien yet, but she also wasn't looking for them.

Taylor shrugged.

"I can't help that one," he said. He grinned a bit. "Besides, I've been neglecting myself terribly lately."
