"Alright. We'll watch that one, then." Damien smiled and drove to the theater, his driving nice and calm and not breaking any speed limits. Then he parked and got out, going over to her side.

Rose blushed slightly when he opened her door for her.

"Thanks," she said. The romantic side of her loved the fact that he was being a gentleman.

Damien smiled at her and went into the movie theater. He got two tickets and paid for both of them. "Is there anything you'd like to get? Popcorn, drinks, anything? We've got a few minutes before the movie starts."

"I wouldn't mind a soda," Rose replied. She wasn't sure whether or not he would offer to pay for the soda as well, but she didn't want to spend too much of his money.

"What kind of soda?" Damien asked as he walked over to the counter, looking over at her. He got an Icee and a bag of popcorn for them to share.

"Diet," Rose replied automatically. She was so used to getting diet soda that she didn't even think of getting regular.

Damien nodded and ordered the diet soda for her, handing her the drink and carrying the popcorn and his drink into the theater. He picked a seat near the back. "This good?"

"This is fine," Rose replied. She preferred the seats near the back herself, so she saw no reason to pick other seats. Once he chose his seat, she sat down next to him.

Damien smiled as he sat, putting the popcorn between them so she could get to it too.

Rose smiled back, and settled in for the previews. The movie itself wasn't bad, though there were a few points where she jumped and tensed a bit. She didn't see action movies all that often, so the suspense had the intended effect on her.

Damien smiled and stole glances at her throughout the movie, staying quiet as he watched the movie. He enjoyed it, and once it was done he got up and stretched out, yawning briefly like a big cat.

Once the lights came back up, Rose stood and stretched a little as well, making a couple of her joints pop.

"The movie was pretty good," she commented. "Not my usual thing, but decent all the same."

"Good. I'm glad you liked it." Damien smiled. "Now, would you like to get dinner? Or would you like to do something else first?" It was a little early for him, but maybe not for her.

Rose glanced at the time. It was a little early for dinner, still.

"What else did you have in mind?" she asked.

"I don't know. We could go for a walk or something, or if there was any store around you needed to go. I know that there's a pet store just down the street, and sometimes I'll go in to get supplies and just kinda look around." Damien shrugged.

"I wouldn't mind taking a look in the pet store," Rose replied. She always liked going in to look at the kittens, even if she had originally gone in to actually buy something. The kittens always distracted her, somehow.

Damien smiled and nodded. "Sounds good. Come on, we'll drive over and then go to dinner." He held the door to the theater open for her.

Rose's inner romantic sighed over how much of a gentleman he was as she went with him out to the car. She couldn't help but think that maybe Richard had been right, although in a different way... They just didn't make men like this anymore.

Damien smiled at her and opened her door again before making sure she was settled in and driving them over to the pet store.

Rose smiled back and did her best not to blush. He was being so nice to her, she wasn't used to it.

Damien held the door to the pet store for her and decided to let her figure out where she wanted to go. He'd been here many times before; he was good.

Rose went in and was almost immediately distracted by the kittens in the display area. She had a soft spot for anything that cute and fuzzy.

Damien smiled as he watched her. "Have you ever thought about getting another cat?"

"Oh, I've thought about it," Rose replied. "And I should, since I just let Sera get a snake. But I know Lana would hate me for weeks if I got another cat, because she's spoiled rotten and doesn't like sharing in the slightest. I don't think she even likes having my dad's cat around, and that's only temporary."

Damien laughed quietly, shaking his head. "Yeah, she sounds like a spoiled house cat. I've had a few of those."
