"Of course she is," Rose replied. "I've been spoiling her since I was ten. But yes, I have thought about getting another cat, occasionally. She'll get over herself eventually."

"Who knows? She might like a companion." Damien smiled as he watched a long-haired fuzzy black kitten trip over itself trying to pounce on a ball.

Rose couldn't help but coo over the kitten. It was absolutely adorable, and it seemed to have a lot of personality to it.

Damien chuckled and shook his head a little, amused by both of them. He hung back just a little to watch.

Rose watched as another kitten pounced on the first and the two started to wrestle.

"They're so adorable," she said.

"Yes, they are," Damien said with a chucke. "Kittens are very cute."

Rose cooed over the kittens for a few more minutes, and then reluctantly stepped away. They were so cute, and she wanted to take them all home, but she knew she couldn't.

"Come on, they have more cute, furry creatures." Damien grinned as he moved over to look at the rats, mice, guinea pigs, and hamsters.

Rose followed him, and cooed a little over the hamsters, but not as much as she had over the kittens. She wasn't really a rodent person.

Damien looked around the rest of the store, and at one point he talked to one of his friends who worked there and got to hold a little leopard gecko.

Rose went over to look at the gecko.

"Aw, it's so cute," she said.

"Here." Damien put it on her hand with a smile to let it climb around on her for a while.

Rose grinned and let the gecko climb around on her hands and arms for a little while. She was used to snakes, so the gecko didn't freak her our like it might have other women.

Damien chuckled as he watched the little guy running around on her arms and across her chest.

Rose grinned, and gently grabbed the gecko before it could try to climb up her neck.

"That's enough," she said.

Damien chuckled. "It probably wants to hide under your hair where it's nice and warm," he said, taking the gecko from her and putting it back in its cage.

"Probably," Rose agreed, gently handing the gecko back.

Damien smiled a little and looked around at the rest of the animals there, taking his time walking around. He glanced over at Rose once they'd seen everything. "Anything else you wanted to look at?"

"Not particularly," Rose replied. "I'm ready to leave if you are."

"Alright. Let's get going, then." Damien opened the door for her and led the way out to the car. "Before we get going, is there anything I should know? Food allergies, types of food you don't like or won't eat, any religious restrictions?"

"No, not really, and no," Rose replied. "I'm fairly easy to please. I like Japanese over Chinese, Italian over Mexican, and I've never really branched out from there."

"I can work with that." Damien grinned and opened her door before he slid in and started driving. He parked a few minutes later in front of a Chinese/Japanese place. "Here we are."

Rose grinned when they pulled in.

"I know this place," she said. "I come here fairly often."

"Good, I know you'll like it then." Damien smiled and held the door for her. "Do you usually order individually or get the all-you-can-eat?"

"I usually order individually," Rose replied. "I find it's usually enough, at least for me."
