Sera laughed. "I had a cat who, whenever I had a friend sleep over, used to sleep on their faces. Never mine, though she'd sleep on my chest or across my throat."

Rose handed Sera the snake and leaned down to grab Sirius as he wandered by. The cat immediately started to whine, sounding oddly like a teenager.

"Oh hush, you," she said to the cat. "You're such a whiner." She started to scratch behind his ears, and he immediately forgot why he was whining.

Sera let the snake coil around her neck again, and she smiled, stroking the snake's scales. "Having him around will be very interesting."

"It's only for the next two weeks," Rose replied, petting the cat. "You'll be sick of him by then, I'm sure."

Sera merely laughed and settled down on a chair. "Want to watch a movie or are you movie'd out?"

"I think I've filled my socializing quota for the next few days," Rose replied. "Peace and quiet sounds like a wonderful idea right now, so please no movie?"

Sera held up her hands placatingly. "Okay, okay. No movie." She put the snake back in his tank. "I'm gonna go get ready for bed."

"Sounds like a wonderful idea," Rose agreed, moving the cat so she could get up. She followed Sera down the hall, and went into her own room.

Sera got into her over-sized nightshirt and brushed her teeth and her hair before she moved back to her room. "Night Rose!" she called.

"Night, Sera!" Rose replied as she changed into a tank top and lounge pants. The two cats were already there on her bed, and they were both obviously much calmer than before. Once she was ready for bed, she turned off the light and settled in.

The week passed quickly, and Sera looked over at Rose as the two lounged around on a Saturday afternoon. Rose had gotten off early, and Sera had taken the day off, since they both had dates that night.

"Full moon tonight," she said, looking over at Rose.

"Really?" Rose asked. She hadn't been keeping track. She grinned. "Makes it a nice night for a walk through the park, then."

"It should. You'll have to tell me if you see any werewolves." Sera grinned, leaning back in her seat.

Rose rolled her eyes.

"I'll be sure to let you know once the terror passes," she said.

Sera merely grinned innocently and got up, stretching. "I'm going to go check on the rats and get ready to go."

Rose nodded.

"You do that," she said. "I need to find that black sweater that my parents gave me for my birthday last year, the cashmere one. Do you remember where I put it?"

"Umm... I think you left it in your closet on the top shelf in the hopes that it wouldn't end up completely covered in cat hair." Sera grinned.

"Right, thanks," Rose replied as she went to find the sweater. She discovered that she'd also sealed the sweater into a plastic bag, to give it a better chance of being cat-hair-free. She grinned when she pulled it out. Perfect.

Sera, on the other hand, just threw on jeans, an undershirt, and a button-up shirt. She didn't really do fancy. Not very often, at least.

Rose balanced out the sweater with a lilac lace camisole underneath and a pair of jeans. She didn't really bother with jewelry much, so it didn't cross her mind, but she did take the time to braid her hair rather than bun it.

Sera pulled on her black leather biker boots, which she loved to wear for the fun of it, and then went to check on Rose. "What time're you leaving?"

"As soon as he gets here," Rose replied. "We're supposed to go out to dinner first."

Sera snorted. "Very descriptive," she said sarcastically. "Well, you two should have fun. Taylor wouldn't tell me what we're supposed to be doing."

"You like spontaneity more than I do," Rose pointed out. She liked her life a bit more predictable than Sera did.

"This is true. But currently annoying." Sera sighed and shook her head. "Oh well. You'll have to tell me how things go."
