"Yeah," Damien said with a smile. "Full moon always makes me think of old tales my mother would tell me when I was little, y'know?"

Sera laughed quietly at his comments, thoroughly enjoying making fun of the movie. Most of the girls in the theater were screaming at all the blood and gore, but she just snorted and pointed out that blood would not arc like that naturally when the person was already dead.

"What kind of tales?" Rose asked. Naturally, she was interested.

Taylor couldn't help a few quiet chuckles at some of Sera's funnier comments. She had a good sense of humor.

"Shapeshifters and skinwalkers, mostly." Damien cracked a smile. "Lots of Native American stories, a bunch of their creation stories and other stories. She was an anthropologist."

Sera grinned and leaned away from him, faking a scream at a somewhat-intense part of the movie, and causing all the rest of the girls in the room to scream as well. Then she grinned at Taylor, obviously amused.

"I love stories like those," Rose said with a sigh. She was always a sucker for old legends.

"Nice," Taylor whispered to her, grinning.

"Well I'll see if I can remember a couple of them for you," Damien said with a smile. "I know one popular story is about a skinwalker, a shape-changer, who was plaguing one tribe and they had to drive him off by making him face a real animal of each animal he changed into."

Sera grinned broadly and settled back to watch the rest of the movie. She didn't move until the lights came up, and then she stretched a bit.

"That was a crappy ending."

"It sounds like a wonderful story," Rose said. "Let me know when you remember it all, I'd love to hear it."

Taylor stood up with her and stretched as well.

"It was a cheesy movie, what can you expect?" he replied.

"Will do." Damien smiled at her and started walking again. "Was there anywhere else you wanted to go? Or did you just want to hang out here for a little bit longer?"

"True." Sera got up and stretched again, her shirt riding up just a little. She tugged it back into place automatically, glancing at him. "Shall we head out?"

"Actually, it's getting a bit late..." Rose said. "It's probably best that I get back home soon."

"I'm ready if you are," Taylor replied. "Was there anywhere else you wanted to go?" Not that anything else would really be open so late, but there was always the park or something, though he had the feeling that Damien was haunting that particular place, like he did every month.

"Okay. I'll drive you back if you want to go." Damien smiled, offering her his arm again.

"I don't think so." Sera shrugged. "I'm pretty sure Rose will be home soon, and animals get cranky if they don't get their normal night-time treats and spoiling."

"Thanks," Rose replied as she took his arm. "I'd really appreciate it."

"Then I can drive you home whenever you're ready," Taylor replied.

"My pleasure, pretty lady." Damien smiled and walked back through the park to his car, opening her door for her. He just had to be sane for a little longer and not start getting too cat-like.

Sera nodded. "Thanks." She started walking, glancing at the people going to a midnight showing of something. Then she just shook her head with a little smile.

Rose blushed a little as she got into the car.

"I had a lot of fun tonight," she commented.

Taylor walked with her to the car and waited until she got in on the passenger side before getting in himself and starting the car.

Damien smiled. "Good! I did too. We'll have to do it again sometime soon." He got in as well and started driing quietly, glancing over at her. "As long as you don't mind, that is."

"You're not going to tell me where that tattoo is, are you?" Sera glanced over at him, one eyebrow raised.

"I wouldn't mind at all," Rose replied, with a small grin. For a moment, she thought she saw his eyes glinting in the darkness, but waved it off as a trick of the light.

"I think I should leave you to guess a little longer," Taylor replied. "Obviously, it's not visible right now."

Damien nodded. "Excellent. Next weekend, then? Or sooner?" He glanced over at her again, and for a brief moment, in the darkness of the car, his pupils seemed to have changed to almost cat-like.

"Well yes, but there's a difference between having a tattoo on your shoulderblade and having one on your hip, or something," Sera said reasonably.

Rose saw it, but it only lasted the briefest of moments, and she managed to convince herself she was seeing things.

"Next weekend is fine with me," she said after a moment.

"You were actually pretty close with one of those," Taylor said. "But I'm not going to tell you which one."

Damien pulled up into her house a few moments later. "Well, I'll call you or talk to you at work about where to go next time. Sound good?"

Sera pouted, half-tempted to try to look at his back to see it that was where he had one, but she resisted.

"Sounds good," Rose replied as she got out of the car.

Taylor knew Sera was trying to figure it out, but he had no plans to let her know where his tattoo was just yet.

Damien left the car in neutral and got out as well, seeing her to the door. He leaned down a little and kissed her cheek, smiling faintly. "Have a good night, Rose."

Sera finally gave up with a huff, deciding she wasn't going to be able to see it yet. She'd just have to corner him some other time.

Rose blushed when he kissed her cheek, but didn't say anything when her attention was caught by his eyes again. Something seemed different about them, but she didn't know what it was. She chose to ignore it for the moment.

"You too," she replied.

Taylor glanced over at Sera.

"What's got your pants in a knot?" he asked, teasing her a bit.

Damien smiled at her. "Night." He walked back to his car, glancing back at her once before he backed out of her driveway and made his way back home.

"You made me curious," Sera grumbled. "Can't I have a hint? I'm dying of curiosity here."

Rose watched as he pulled out of the driveway, and then went inside. She was almost immediately tripped by her dad's cat as he tried to dart outside, and she caught him on her foot and pushed him back inside. She closed the door to make sure he didn't try to make a break for it a second time.

"I did give you a hint," Taylor said. "You guessed two places, and one of them was close."

Damien drove back to his house and parked before he shifted to go find something to hunt.

"Well unless you strip I won't be able to find out." Sera glanced at him.

Rose settled in for the evening and went about feeding the animals. While the rats and snake technically weren't hers, she knew how to feed them properly.

"I could, if you want me to," Taylor teased, "but I doubt you'd like where that ends up going."

"I think we'd better wait a couple more dates for that." Sera chuckled and took off her seatbelt once they got to the house. "Thanks. I had a good time tonight. Although I might try looking for that tattoo next time."
