Sera had to stifle her laughter at that, not wanting to disturb the quiet around them. She shook her head, rather amused. "Glad you're not there?" she teased.

"Ironically, yes," Taylor replied, grinning. "It means I'm here with you instead."

Sera paused for a moment. "Okay, that was cute," she admitted. "And silly. And kinda corny. But cute all the same."

"It could have been so much cheesier," Taylor pointed out. "And I was tempted. But yes, I am actually glad I'm not there at the moment."

Sera chuckled. "Yeah, I can imagine." She shook her head, relaxing there.

Leaning down, Taylor gave her a quick kiss.

Sera smiled and rested against his side for a while before she went to go look around the rest of the aquarium.

Taylor followed her around, letting her dictate what they went to go see.

Sera kept walking around, looking at all the fish but avoiding the jellyfish. She looked at everything else in the aquarium, though.

"Enjoying yourself?" Taylor asked when they took a brief break from looking at everything.

"Mmhm. Are you?" Sera looked up at him with a little grin, allowing herself to lean against his side.

"Good, I am too," Taylor replied, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her closer.

Sera smiled and stayed where she was, very content to just stay there.

Absently, Taylor took out his cell phone to check the time and see if he had any waiting messages. They'd been at the aquarium for a few hours, now.

Damien finally texted Taylor back that it was safe to come back. But he didn't move from where he was curled around Rose.

Sera glanced at his phone when it buzzed, raising an eyebrow at him.

Taylor opened the message when it came in and read it.

"We can head back whenever you're ready," he said to Sera. "Unless you wanted to spend a little while longer here."

Rose was snuggled up against Damien, completely relaxed with her eyes half-closed.

"Whatever you prefer," Sera said with a little shrug. She could stay there as long as he wanted, and she wouldn't mind going home. Either one was fine.

Damien held her a little tighter, practically purring.

"Then why don't we give them a bit more time to make themselves decent," Taylor said, putting his phone into his pocket, "and we go and see the whales? We haven't gotten over that way yet."

Actually, he was purring a little, not that Rose minded at all. She snuggled a bit closer to him.

Sera grinned and nodded, walking over towards the whales more sedately. She loved watching the whales. And most of the time she wanted to jump in with them.

Damien kept hold of her, resting against her and keeping up the faint but persistent purr.

Taylor followed her to the glass windows in the whale tanks.

Rose ended up drifting off to sleep in his arms, snuggled up against him.

Sera watched the whales for almost an hour before she tore herself away with a wistful little sigh. She would give just about anything to go swimming with them, or the dolphins.

"Think we've given them enough time to get decent again?"

Damien stayed awake, watching over her and still purring a faint rumble in his chest, hoping she'd sleep well and stay relaxed. She needed the rest.

"Probably," Taylor replied. "Ready to head back?"

"Sure, might as well." Sera smiled a little and started for the entrance again.

Taylor walked with her, reaching over to take her hand gently.

Sera smiled a little and let him, walking back to the car.

By the time they got back to his car, she discovered that they'd been there for most of the day, and she was rather hungry. She glanced over at him. "You hungry?"
