Dinner ended rather informally, with people wandering away from the table to go do other things. Rose stuck around just long enough to get a brownie after dinner, and then wandered away from the table herself. She didn't go far, though, and waited for Damien.

"Room service it is, then," Taylor replied. "We can ask for a list of places around here to eat when we head downstairs tomorrow."

Damien followed her after another minute, having been pulled into a conversation. He excused himself and ducked away from the table, going to go join Rose.

"Well. That wasn't bad."

Sera nodded and shifted her weight, settling down there for a little while at least. She knew they'd have to go order food soon, since she was starting to get hungry.

"Not at all," Rose agreed. "It could have been much worse." Leaning up, she gave him a quick kiss while nobody was looking.

Taylor held Sera close, although he did give her another lazy kiss. He didn't go any further than that, though. He was content with just snuggling for a while.

Damien grinned briefly and hooked his arm around her waist, keeping her close. "Your family is entertaining, by the way."

Sera stayed there for a while longer, just snuggling with him. Hey, she didn't mind. Not one bit.

"You know we're going to have to get up eventually."

"It's always fun when the Clan gets together," Rose replied with a grin. "Too much Scottish blood in us all, I think, but that just makes things fun."

"Eventually," Taylor agreed. "Unless you wanted to get up now."

Damien snorted. "Much more fun than when you get a group of us." He glanced at the other shifter so she wouldn't miss his meaning. Not that he thought she would.

"Nope. Eventually is good." Sera grinned, nestling her face into his neck.

Rose snorted.

"Somehow, I doubt that this is more fun than that," she replied.

"You don't even have to get up for the rest of the night, if you don't want to," Taylor commented. "Only one of us needs to answer the door for room service, you know."

Damien just gave her a look. He'd tell her stories later on. Because this family thing was definitely better than the last shifter event he'd been to.

Not that he went to many, but still.

"Hmm. We'll see how lazy I'm feeling." Sera grinned at him and kissed him again.

Rose raised an eyebrow, but she knew that some things were best discussed without other people around to listen in. She'd ask about it later on.

"Come on, let's go see if we can jump in on a card game or something and waste some time," she said instead.

Taylor returned the kiss with just the barest hint of heat.

"I've seen you feeling very lazy before," he teased.

Damien nodded and went to go find a card game for them to participate in. or something. He was up for just about anything at the moment.

Sera grinned at him. "Yes, you have. You haven't seen me when I turn into an octopus, though."

Rose sat down at the table again, now that dinner had been replaced by a couple of different card games, and jumped into one. She would play for a little while before making their excuse to disappear. The table was right next to the back door, which was convenient.

Taylor just raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" he asked.

Damien sat near her, not participating in the game but keeping track of the game and talking with them. Hey, might as well start now with the family.

Sera just grinned. "You'll find out someday," she said mildly.

After forty-five minutes or so of playing, Rose put down her cards and stood up, stretching a bit.

"I think I'm going to turn in for the night," she told her cousins. They all gave various sounds of acknowledgement and waved her off, going back to the game. Not that she minded, of course.

"Well that's not fair," Taylor replied just as mildly.

Damien slipped out with her before they could try to shanghai him into the game. He held open the door for Rose so she could leave too.

Sera just grinned impishly at him and wiggled around a bit. To get comfortable. Of course.

Rose took Damien's hand as they walked outside.

"It's a nice night out," she commented as they walked to the gazebo. There were plenty of stars in the sky, and the moon could see seen rising through the trees.

Taylor grinned a bit at her.

"Careful," he warned as she moved around a bit.

"Mm," Damien agreed quietly. Although he was rather glad it wasn't a full moon. One less thing to worry about. He looped his arm around her again.

"Want to go back to the gazeebo, or do you want to go for a little walk first?"

Sera just grinned and settled down again. Not her fault it was fun.

"Either one is fine with me," Rose replied as she leaned against him a little. "Although if you feel the need to go for a run, I'll warn you now that my grandmother gets up at an unholy hour and goes for a walk around four-thirty or five."

Taylor held Sera a bit tighter for a moment before relaxing again. Not that it stopped him from giving her another kiss, but still.

Damien nodded. "Fortunately I think I can avoid her without any problems." He didn't need to go on a run yet, but he did want to investigate the area a little more.

Sera relaxed again, managing to snag the menu so they could browse and figure out what they wanted.

"I think you can too," Rose replied. "I'm just letting you know ahead of time." After a moment, she tugged him towards the gazebo. "Come on, I want to go settle in and snuggle for a bit." And she was still waiting for him to kiss her senseless.

Taylor looked at the menu as well.

"What do you think?" he asked Sera.

Damien grinned and let her tug him into the gazeebo. He waited until they were safely inside before he pulled her closer, kissing her.

"Hmm. Something comfort food sounds good." Sera glanced over at him. "So whatever sounds good."

Rose didn't have time to be surprised at the sudden kiss, but that was okay. She relaxed against him, returning the kiss, although she had to stand on her toes to kiss him back properly.

"Comfort food sounds good," Taylor agreed. "Whatever you want to get is fine with me."

Damien chuckled quietly, pulling her closer. "Looks like someone's been wanting to do that," he teased gently.

"I have," Rose admitted. She grinned up at him. "But then, I think I can say the same about you." She cuddled against him, comfortable.

Damien chuckled and stayed there for a few moments before he pulled back, a little reluctantly.

"Do you want to actually get ready for bed or not really?"

"Mac and cheese?" Sera glanced up at him, raising her eyebrows.

"I just made us an excuse to get away from the family," Rose replied. "So that nobody comes looking for us later when they notice we're not with the rest of the clan." She grinned a bit. "Though I do like snuggling with you."

Taylor considered it for a moment.

"Sure," he replied. "Sounds good. Unless you want something else. I'm not picky."
