That's still...well, unless the Christmas bonus is high enough that it's worth the work hours during the weekends? :gonk:

I hate working early, but I have too I've got to be at work by 7:30 am. I'm not a morning person. Another job won't pay as well as this one.

@Amelia: lol! :XD I tried sticking with my previous job, with it being my 'first job' and all...but it was like torture, so I quit. My current job's much better, with better pay too. =3
Maybe you could look around for another job, but not necessarily leave your current one until you've found one you like?
@Jake: You lost power in your house?! :o

Yep, for three days. T_T All of my food in the fridge went off and I was restricted to candle light with no games to play, just books, lots and lots of books. T_T

Dan: I've actually done that before...twice. I hated the other jobs more. Once my boss did actually "promote" me, but after two weeks I told him never mind because I could not stand the woman I was forced to work next to for seven hours. She made me a total bitch by the time I got home and it just wasn't worth being in that terrible mood every day.
...I've come to realize I'm job picky. >.>
Jakey! You're finally backed! What made your house loose power? 3:
Hi Kirin! How are you?

Jobs?
I'm glad I don't have work today
I used to be a people person before I worked the service desk at WalMart
But as each day goes by I hate strangers more and more.

Most people I get through my line apparently think I'm an idiot because I work where I do, I got straight As in school, Walmart just does a good job at paying my bills while I'm working on my art skills.

I know. My boss has been is buying a new van (because all our drivers seem to get into accidents left and right, and pretty much destroyed the other delivery vans) and the other day my manager had to fax some paperwork over to the place he's getting it from.
So this company calls HOURS after she faxed them the paperwork, to tell us that she faxed it wrong and for my boss to be able to pick up the van (he was going to on his way to work the next morning) it needed to be faxed again correctly. I nicely explain to the man that my manager has already left for the night, with all the paperwork locked in her office that only she has a key to, so obviously it wont be done that night.
He started SCREAMING at me, legit screaming. At a 19 year old girl, over a telephone, who had nothing to do with this whole thing to begin with.
Maaaaaybe you should have called us back to say it was wrong hours before when she originally did it.
...I eventually hung up on him though....>.>

Wow, I've only been yelled at once, I needed to see this guys ID to cash a his pay check, he didn't have one, so he flipped out yelled at me other customers, and my boss about how all of walmarts employees are "doo doo heads" and that everyone should boycott walmart
He came back later that day with a picket sign, he was arrested shortly after for hitting a small child with it. fun day lols.I usually get the ultra religious nut jobs, who apparently think all I do is sin. Yesterday I had a guy with a full cart of groceries when I was on a register, had it all unloaded, we start talking, then he asks "Do you ever look at a woman with lust in your eyes?" My manager behind me cracks up laughing as well as a few of my surrounding cashiers (I've been out of the closet since I was 12). and I'm all "I can honestly say thats something I have not done." He goes on about how he knows I'm lying and that lying is a sin, and that god wont forgive me for either and my manager walks up "Do you have an issue with my boyfriend?" the dude just walks away without any of his stuff. it was pretty hilarious.

Working there kind of sounds like fun. I used to work at a target, but there definitely weren't as many crazy people. xD
I get screamed at ALL the time at my current job. My coworkers always ring stuff up wrong in my name in the register and then I get blamed for it. I know some of their passwords now though so sometimes I'll log then in before I walk away from it.
Plus all the surgical stuff in our store is none returnable. Last week I sold a woman something, explaining to her that she could not bring it back with she agreed to and even signed a receipt stating agreeing to the policy. Two days later she came back (and didn't recognize me, I guess) trying to return it and yelling that nobody had told her it wasn't returnable. I was like "Lady, I sold it to you two days ago and I know I told you, :talk2hand:" and of course, she didn't have the receipt with her that she signed. They always "forget" to bring it back.

where do ya work? don't know many places with delivery and surgical equipment.
We've got our fun days, it really depends who is working. certain managers like to crack the whip, where as others encourage us to goof off because it makes friendlier environment.

Not exactly, it's just a small little pharmacy in which I've kind of assumed most positions. Cashier, Customer Service, Pharmacy Tech.
It's not that fun. xD
And my boss has a delivery service because a lot of elderly people have trouble leaving the house.
I goof off all the time, no matter who is there. I think the reason I stay is because I've been there so long, and not to sound conceited, but I am the favorite. Which means I basically get away with everything. I mean, I do get yelled at for stuff, but I have the most leeway when it comes to slacking off and being late. xD

Nice! xD
That's what I like about not working at a big corporation anymore though. I don't have to worry about stuff like that. I can walk it an hour late and just be like "Hai guys. 8D"
Not that I do that regularly though, you wouldn't believe the amount of stuff that tends to do wrong while I'm going. I was swamped with fixing reg mistakes after I came back from one of my half an hour breaks last week. Dx
Dan: I have a special place in my heart for ranting about work, once I get going it's hard to stop. ._.
