Mimrien's smile widened, watching the two move off to a table. "Hello," he greeted, nodding to the other before turning back to his stew. Nyth continued to watch them though, beady little eyes watching intently. His nose twitched as he shuffled back and forth, uneasy. he was only calmed by Mimrien's fingers scratching his forehead. "Calm down. I doubt it's going to do anything," he whispered, turning slightly to eye the man and wolf across teh room from the corner of his eye, slowly spooning cooling stew into his mouth No matter what some folks said, turtle was delicious.

Luke's fingers moved almost absently, scratching gently at the base of one of Loki's ears while the wolf's head remained on his thigh. He glanced down at Loki. "This does seem like a nice enough place..doesn't it, brother?" Luke spoke softly but didn't exactly whisper, the young man looked to be no more than about 17 or 18 years old. Those orange eyes dancing over the other male's form for a moment, watching as he ate some stew. Luke's own stomach grumbled lightly and he quickly looked down at Loki.

The wolf had rolled his eyes lightly at Luke's suggestion that the establishment seemed nice..Luke tended to form that opinion quite often about places, and sometimes he was very wrong. When the human's stomach growled, Loki licked his chops and looked up to Luke's face, letting out a very light whine. The demon was hungry as well. They had traveled long and far.

Miel was slightly startled by the appearance of two more customers, more by the wolf than the man, it gave off an odd vibe to her. Trying to hide her nervousness, she cleared her throat. "Good evening, take a seat anywhere you wish. Would y'all like some stew this evening? We have rabbit, turtle, and beef available this evening," she offered the man, speaking a bit more quickly than she had intended.

Luke had already seated himself just before the female had noticed him but that was alright. She seemed just a little on edge and he assumed it was because of Loki's presence. He supposed to someone that didn't know Loki, the wolf did look rather intimidating. Luke smiled softly the girl and shifted slightly in his seat. "Actually...we are a bit hungry." He glanced down to Loki, then back to the girl. "My brother and I would both like the rabbit stew, please...May I have some bread, cheese, and milk with mine? My brother would like some water to drink, I'm sure." Once again he glanced down at Loki, giving the wolf a bright smile before turning that smile to the girl.

Loki's gaze had turned to the girl, he watched her intently for a few moments. His presence made her nervous and that seemed to make him a little satisfied. Each time Luke looked down at him, he turned his head up a bit to look up at Luke. When the boy had ordered their meal, he nuzzled him softly. Turning his head to lick the hand lightly that still rested on his head, before resting that head back against Luke's thigh and just watching.

Miel nodded earnestly at the man, trying her best not to stare at the wolf. It seemed to watch her for a few moments before shifting its attention. "Right away," she replied before turning and heading to the kitchens. She poured two bowls of rabbit stew and grabbed hunks of bread and cheese as well. She put all of them onto a tray and made her way back out to them. "Here you go," she said as she gave them their food. "Your milk and water should be out in a few moments."

Mimrien chuckled lightly at Miel's frantic tone. Did the wolf really put her off that much? Really? She had seemed rather amused when Nyth had revealed his nature. Maybe it was because this one hadn't actually revealed the intelligence it seemed to hide in those eyes...or maybe he was just seeing things. It really could just be a mindless wolf, trained by the boy sitting across the room from him. Sighing gently, he pushed his now empty bowl away and leaned his head back, still making an effort to keep a small eye on the boy. He intrigued him. Far more than the innkeeper and her help did. Although they were lovely company. Rather accomodating. And not too bad to look at either.

Luke smiled brightly to the female when she brought out their food. "Thank you very much." He had pat Loki softly on the head once more, before turning his attention to his own stew. He was famished, but that wouldn't be any excuse to eat like a savage beast. Luke ate like the mannered boy he was. Savoring the taste and warmth of the stew. It was delicious.

Loki watched the girl when she returned with their meal, licking his chops slowly as he watched her. When his bowl was set down, he didn't move for a few moments. At least, not until after Luke patted him on the head again. Loki lapped up his stew almost gently, slowly as if he were being careful to not make a mess. His eyes though, were watching the other male in the room intently.

Mimrien sighed, blinking his eyes at the ceiling. "Ah...if you'll excuse me, I am going to go utilize the tub that came with my room," he said, standing and stretching out his arms above his head. Nyth seemed to perk, turning to eye his companion warily. When the young man began to move, the currently oddly colored ferret followed, keeping a wide a girth of the the demonic wolf as he could without straying to far from the protective shelter of Mimiren's legs. One oculd never be too careful if they did not know of the other's nature.

((SO sorry I dissapeared for a while.... I was awfully sick and had major final papers to write.... Sorry for the long post too, just trying to catch up with everyone >.< Wont happen again, I hope. Being sick was no good and papers are never fun))

After sharing the travel gossip with the man, Kell had dissappeared into the kitchens to make sure the stews didnt need stirring and to begin heating the water for the mans bath when he needed it. She helped Miel find the cheese and then she went out to the small stream out back to get the milk. She always kept it in jugs in the stream to keep it a bit cool for guests. She brought it into the kitchen and poured a tall glass. She saw Miel coming back through the door and handed her the milk. "Make sure he knows, 2 coppers extra for the cheese and milk. Those are harded to come by and keep fresh." Kell was glad she had three guests for the evening. She had not yet realized that the extra stew Miel had carried out was for a wolf and when she exited the kitchen a few moments later she stopped just outside the door and sucked in a quick breath of fright. She had never seen a wolf so large. And there it was just sitting in her tavern eating soup like a gentleman might (only with his tounge instead of a spoon). The wolf had better manners than any dog she had ever seen and certainly was better mannered than the wolves that attacked live stock on the outskirts of the village. She stood there staring for a few moments before she moved carefully behind the bar, here eyes still never leaving the wolf. The animal intrigued her and she wondered if, like the other animal guest she had this evening, there was more to him than met the eye. After reaching this conclusion her attention finally turned to the human. A boy, well maybe old enough to be a young man.... He ate his stew carefully too, making sure to not spill one drop. Kell knew it was hunger and not manners that drove this though. "Hello there young man, enjoying that stew? There is more if you would like it."
Kell looked over to her other guest.... he was gone.
"The Bath!" She didnt have it ready yet. She ran back into the kitchen to check the water temperature. It was close enough, not super hot, but hot enough. She hauled the cauldron of water off the grating near the fire and immediately moved another to stand in its place. She moved into the tavern and began to head up the stairs and to the mans room with it, as fast as the cauldron would let her. It was heavy, but not unmanagable. Kell had done this a hundred times in her life already.

Mimrien, having noticed that the bath itself was not ready, had sat on the edge of his bed, having discarded his cloak to the floor and leaving his belt delicately on his pillow, the dagger itself in its center. The thing was delicate. He had set himself to peeling off his white shirt, trying to remove the shirt without damaging the still quite tender flesh beneath. He hissed as something pulled with the shirt, annoyed that it had caught. Carefully, he peeled it off, revealing a nasty, still knitting scar, part of a long, intricate design that criss crossed across his boy. He grumbled as he tossed the shirt away, lightly rubbing his skin. Nyth merely watch, perched on the side of the tub, eyes glistening as he watched. He narrowed them, hopping to teh floor and moving toward him. The shapeshifting demon hopped up onto teh bed, enlarging his size until he was about teh size of a small dog, his form morphing as well, his features slightly more human looking.

][it's okay. being sick really sucks. -hugs-][

Hunger and not manners? Well, that might have helped with how careful he was while eating, but that wasn't entirely true. Manners had nearly been beaten into Luke's skull..at least, table manners. Still for the most part Luke was generally a polite boy. He glanced down to Loki smiling softly to the wolf before returning to his own stew. When the other woman came out of the kitchen he put his spoon down and looked to her when she spoke to him. "Oh yes, my brother and I greatly enjoy this stew. Thank you very much, but I think one bowl is enough for us." When the woman had left, Luke went back to carefully eating his stew.

Loki had looked up when the woman entered. Those crimson eyes seemed to watch her intently for a few moments, then he went back to eating. The other male, he noted had left only a few minutes ago. Loki had watched him when he went, but what that man did was of no concern to him, as long as he didn't do anything hostile towards Luke. Loki's tail wagged just slightly when the woman asked if Luke was enjoying the stew.

((Yeah, and now I am all better just in time for finals at school uhg, I cant wait till my holiday break... I have 4 papers due in the next 11 days >.< I will be getting on, it may be sporadic, but I will be on haha))
Kell reached the top of the stair with her large cauldron of steaming hot water. She made her way down to her guests room and tapped at his door with her foot, gently knocking on the door, just incase her guest needed time to make sure he was decent.
"I have your bath water. Well, part of it anyway...." She held the pot, it was too heavy to set down, she worried if she set it down now she wouldnt be able to pick it back up. She hoped he answered the door in a moment, otherwise she would just go inside and appologize later for intruding.

Mimrien turned his head, eyeing the door. "Oh, just come on in," he said, reaching down and wrapping his shirt around his shoulders, hiding most of the thin scars from sight. Nyth jumped from his perch, moving off to the tub. He grabbed a hold of Mimiren's discarded cloak, dragging it back to his companion. He dropped it at his friend's feet before jumping back up, turning to eye the door himself.

(Ouch....good luck with all that homework!)

Kell heard him tell her to enter. She carefully moved the caulfrom of water to the side of her body and used her shoulder to open the door. She entered the room, and without looking around, moved strait to the waiting tub. She carefully lowered the cauldron down to the edge and poured the steaming water in. When she had finished she turned to him saying "I need to bring one more--" she stopped. he saw the flesh on his skin, still trying to mend itsself. "Sir! You never mentioned you were in need of care. Im so sorry. This water may be too hot for you with that wound... I... Well just dont move!" She rushed out of his room and went down to her own. She had a salve that had been given to her by a local healer several months ago when she had sliced her hand skinning an animal. It didnt make the healing proccess work faster but it did sooth the itch and keep the skin from pulling. She carried it back down the hall to him. "Here, I used this several month ago when I sliced my hand. I dont need it anymore and I hate to see it wasted. Please, take it." She held it out to him. "I will go get the rest of the water for your bath now. If you need anything, please let me know." She smile at him, and worried from him and his wound... it was obvious that it hadnt been healing as well as it should have, most likely because of his travelling.

Mimrien blinked at the woman's slight outburst, watching dumbly as she fled the room rather quickly. Nyth just chuckled. Stupid little plaguerat. When the host had returned, blinking dumbly at her still, he took the salve carefully, turning to eye it. He blinked again before smiling, turning to look at her again. "A sweet gesture, really, but these must heal on their own," he said, moving to hand the salve back. Nyth watched, jumping back to the floor once more, pattering across the room before he reached the hall. He sat out there, blinking down the hall. He wished to try something. A form he had never taken before. It would help him communicate better....if he could get it right.

She took the salve back from him. "Well I will leave it here if you change your mind." She turned to leave and get the rest of the water, but the small creature, Nyth, was blocking her way, and he was changing. She stood there and watched, waiting to see what form he would take now.

Nyth close dhis little eyes, trying to get his body to mprh correctly. Of course it didn't. A brand new form. Of course what he really was would poke out a bit. And it hurt, sitting like that. His legs couldn't handle it. With a light groan, he stretched out, pinkish skin gleaming in the candlelight of the hall. He grumbled, lifting a newly formed hand to long, longer than he wanted, violet-pink hair. He grumbled, glaring at his new, more human, body with black eyes. Of course, he failed to notice the thick horns curving along skull and jutting outward, forming a sort of deep violet crown. Or the rows of depp pink scars moving along the back of his neck and down his spine. Dear lord...he'd messed it up.

Kell stood, mesmerized by the transformation before her. It was hideous and she desperately wanted to look away, but she couldnt. It seemed that Nyth had transformed into part monster, part man. She couldnt be sure though and she didnt want to hazard a wrong guess. After the creature had finally stopped changing, she took a chance and looked at the man. "Your friend takes.... many intersting shapes." She did not know what to do, and she was still unable to leave the room. A little part of her said she should be afrain, but curiosity had a much stronger hold on her now.

Mimiren turned his head, blinking at her question. When he eyed Nyth in the hallway he sighed, standing and turning to get a better look. He smiled lightly, chukling before turning and making his way toward his bath. "Do not worry. The last time he tried that ended up being much worse," he said, testing the water, narrowing his eyes at how cold it had become. He shrugged. When she went to get the rest, he'd warm it up to the right temperature.

The shapeshifting demon in question turned his head, eyeing Kell out of the corner of his eyes. He snarled lightly, narrowing his eyes at her. She had seen, hadn't she? Stars above, he knew he should have gone somewhere more private. But it was too late now. He turned, facing he comepletely, an exasperated look on his face. Of course, he had failed to take into account the fact he was now entirely naked. After all, weasels don't were clothing.

David walked into the inn, shaking his hair dry from a light sprinkle of rain that had just occurred. He looked around the inn, and went up to the front desk.
"Hello? I'd like to rent a room for a week." He was tall, with a slightly alien greenish tint to his skin. The product of chloryphyll trapped beneath his skin, he could go without food for a while if he had to. However, it still wasn't pleasant.

Kell had heard a new voice downstairs, fearing that she couldnt wait any longer for Nyth to finish doing whatever it was he was attempting, she grabbed the empty cauldron and brushed passed him, unaware of his complete nakedness. She accidently rubbed against her arms on his newly shaped, and awkwardly naked, ones as she went past. "I promise I will be right back with that water sir!" she said as she rushed down the stairs.

When she got to the tavern room, she saw her new customer. "Hello, sorry I was a bit busy upstairs filling a bath for a guest. What can I do for you today?"
Her eyes scanned around the room for Miel, but she didnt see the girl anywhere. Her other guest, the man with the wolf, was still eatting, so she hoped that meant that Miel had almost everything under control. Kell just needed to find out what this new guest required, and then get that bath water back upstairs without being detained too long. As she waited for the newcomers responce, she realized that she had just seen Nyth naked, and she turned 8 different shades of red.

Mimrien turned his head as Kell scurried past, snickering as Nyth glared after her, exposing himself for his charge. "Oh my!" he exclaimed, turning comepletely. "It appears we will need to get you some clothes! WE can't have you wandering around nude." The shapeshifter blinked, eyeing Mimiren with a raised eyebrow, before he looked down, face turning from mild annoyance to exasperated annoyance, the scaley man standing in an attempt to move into the room. He managed to at least stumble in, but was still unused to the two-leg locomotion he now had to master.

"Hi, I'd like a room. For the week. Although it might be longer." David put down his bag, filled with clothes and a few coins as he rifled through it to find the necessary money. "I'm waiting for someone to arrive."

Kell smiled, a week long guest. She needed the business and this was perfect. "Well sir, would you like a room with a full tub, or just a wash basin. The room with the tub is a bit higher per night, but I personally think it is worth the price." SHe smiled as she appraised his bag. He was still digging through it and a few of its contents had been deposited on the floor as he dug. Kell glanced across to where the man with the wolf sat. He was still doing fine. She also worried about getting that water upstairs as quick as she could. "One guest at a time," she reminded herself silently.
