Vera smiled and yawned once they had reached her room. "That's nice to know...but I like saying please...it's mean if you don't say it..." she said and shrugged. "That's what my parents always told me anyway..." she added and was happy to have someone like him at her side.

Isaac smield at her and gently layed her down on her bed and looked at her. "now then what would you like to do?" he asked as he smiled at her and got her some tissues.

Vera shrugged. "I don't really know..." she said and looked at him. "Should we let father know that I'm sick?" she asked him and sneezed into a tissue. "I don't want any prince coming to visit me today...I'm not in the mood." she added.

Isaac nodded as he looked at her, "yes we should let him know." he said as he looked at her and chuckled slightly, "dont forget I am sort of a prince." he said as he smiled at her, "how about if I go and tell your father that your sick and then get you some soup and something for us to do." he said as he looked at her.

Vera nodded. "True...but yes...go let father know that I'm sick and that I don't really want any visitors. Tell him that if anyone wants to visit he has to let me know first." she said to him and snuggled deeper into the sheets.

Isaac smiled at her and nodded, "sure, I will be back as soon as possible." he said and then headed out of there. He soon found her father, "sir, I am here to say that Vera is sick and wont be able to see visitors." he said and her father looked at him. "fine, now leave me be." he said and went back to his work. Isaac then headed to the kitchen and grabbed some soup and as he headed back to her room he picked up a few board games and some cards. ONce he got back he smiled at her, "hey, got some soup." he said as he held it out to her.

"Hello." she said and smiled at the sight of the soup. "Looks yummy...why didn't you get any for yourself?" she asked him. She looked at the cards and smiled. "Know how to play crazy eights or blackjack?" she asked him and smirked.

Isaac smiled at her, "I wasn't that hungry." he said as he smiled at her and then thought about the card games and shook his head, "no, but do you think you could teach me?" he asked as he looked at her.

Vera chuckled and nodded. "Yes, I can teach you." she said to him and began to eat his soup. In the back of her mind she began to wonder what her father was up to now that he knew she was sick.

Isaac smiled and nodded, "thank you." he said as he smiled at her and watched her. He then pulled out the cards and started to play with them. He hardly ever got to play with cards.

vera nodded and watched him play with the cards. She continued to eat her soup and smiled as she watched him. Vera felt safe and didn't feel lonely when he was with her. "What did father say when he heard that I was sick?" she asked him.

He stopped playing with the cards and looked at her, "he didn't really seem to care. I think he was kind of busy with work or something." he said as he looked at her and smiled, "But I am sure he is worryed." he said as he looked at her.

Vera frowned at the reply. "Oh....I see...." she said and finished her soup. "Can you please take this to the sink in the kitchen? When you come back, I'll teach you how to play card games...I promise." she said to him and smiled shyly.

Isaac smiled and nodded, "okay." he said and could see that she wasn't to thrilled about her father not careing. He wondered how he could make her happy. So he took the bowl and headed down to the kitchen. He then smiled when he got the idea and grabbed a vase and filled it with water. He then ran outside and plucked a few flowers that he knew that Vera would like. He then headed back to her room and smiled, "I though that you might like these." he said as he smiled at her and set the vase of flowers on the bedside table.

Vera looked at the flowers and smiled some. "Thanks Isaac...they're very pretty...." she said to him kindly. Vera then sighed and lo0oked at the cards. "Okay...let me teach you the way of the cards!" she said and laughed a little as she began to explain to him the rules of many card games and the ways to play them.

Isaac was glad that she was smiling when she saw the flowers and then sat down next to her. He listened to her intensly and was glad that she was having some fun. ONce she was better he would take her outside and hopefully make her very happy.

Once she was done, she looked at him and smiled. "Wanna play blackjack now?" she asked him and smiled. "I'll go easy on you...let's see what you learned." she explained. Vera did miss being outside, but b eing inside was fun as well.

Isaac smiled and nodded, "yes I would just take it easy on me. I am still new at this." he said as he smiled at her and couldtell wait to see if he could beat her at this game.

"Okay...here we go...." she said and began to deal the cards. Quietly, she began to play the card game with him and wondered if he would beat her. She had never lost before, so it would be surprising to loose for once.

Isaac smiled as he played and was a little shaky in the beginning. he wasn't to sure if he was playing it right but after a little while he started to get better and smiled.

Vera smiled. "Hey, you're learning fast!" she said to him and then stopped playing and put her cards face down, grabbed her tissue, and sneezed three times. "Ahh....sorry. Let's continue." she said sniffling.

Isaac looked at her worryed when she sneezed. "do you want me to get you anything before we continue?" he asked as he looked at her. He wanted to make sure that she was okay and that she was as comfortable as possible.

"Maybe I should drink some medicine...let's go to the kitchen and look for some." she said to him and wiped here eyes which were red and puffy.

Isaac nodded and held out a hand to her, "okay, then lets go." he said and hoped that there was some since she didn't look to good to him.

Vera took hold of his hand and walked with him to the kitchen. Once they were there, she looked around for some but found none. Suddently she began to cry and her head began to hurt. "F....Father! Sophia!" she screamed as she cried. Sophia was her friend as well as her favorite maid.
