I tried getting the GBA emulator but it never played the games. My laptop is pretty good. It'll run the games I have just fine, but if I have a lot going on in the background it'll slow up some so I usually close out of everything before running a ROM.
It's funny because I bought GTA:IV for my computer, and it wouldn't run it smoothly. Skipping, jagged screen. But emulators run fine :XD

My computer overheats too much to play any real games. Like I'll play EQ2 for 20 minutes and my computer will already be hot enough to start melting chocolate in seconds. lol
And I don't mean just a little goopey on the ends, I mean full chocolate turd goop.

I'm so picky about my video games, it's terrible. I really hope I like Jak and Daxter. If I don't I'll be all mad :X
I have weird tastes. I have scarface, GTA's (like three of them), then FFX, DMC:3, KH 1 & 2, Getting Up, and soon, DQ:VIII, and Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier.

monstahh` - lol. You'd be safe with the really old system emulators then. snes, nintendo, gameboy advance, sega systems... maybe the ps1 too. That one is probably the best compiled out of them all, it doesn't use much resources on your computer. ;)

See, the funny thing is, my computer runs everything fine...It's just it doesn't cool off well enough.
:( And I tend to go through cooling mats for it like crazy because of how much I'm on the computer. They burn out in a month.

That's why I hate laptops.. They're complete garbage and chronically over heat. They are literally made to break down with in 3-5 years after purchasing them. Which is insane, people throw their money away when purchasing them.

I have an eepc, but I got it so I could take it to classes, and basically travel with it. I don't game on it at all, not even flash games (since the screen is too small most of the time anyway).
That's the only computer I have. For gaming, I borrow my fiance's desktop or his laptop. I'm on the desktop right now since I've been on the laptop for the past three days and it kills my back to use it since I have to sit on the bed (I don't have a computer desk to sit at).

Oh I got an interesting topic of discussion. Are you guys fans of the whole motion sensor gaming or do you prefer the good old joystick and buttons? Or both? How do you think it's affecting our games.
Keyori - Well I've extremely happy you are one of the few people who use those little notebooks for what they where made for.

I needed one for school, and there was no way in hell I'd be lugging a full computer and monitor (even one of those skinny ones) back and forth from college and shit.
I mean, now I'm living on my own, but, still. It's not reasonable for me to buy a whole new computer yet. But when I do, I can just use my fancy HD TV as a monitor. So it's the buying and building a computer thing standing in my way...plus the cost. Derp.

Joystick and buttons. I mean don't get me wrong I love the wii.
But I play games like mario galaxy and Zelda: Twilight Princess.
I wouldn't waste my money or time on something like wii fit.
Because fuck that. If I was going to exercise, I'd go to the damn gym or something. :B
I do however like the "analog everything" about the PS3 controllers and the motion sensors on the controllers. I love things like that.
But things like the Kinect nonsense?
And the video cameras and shit? Nahhh, that's ok.
I think they're kindof stupid.
That said, I've never used one, and have no real desire to.
Though, I do like what the DS does. I just wish more games utilized it better.

.. All though Monstahh, save yourself some money, buy a cooling pad that using the standard sized computer fans.. And then just replace the fan for like 3 bucks, you'll save a lot of money that way. That all thats in them, no need to buy an entire new piece of plastic for 25 dollars.

I don't think there's anything wrong with my computer's fan. I think this whole series of laptop computer is just too powerful, with too little cooling equipment.
Kindof like the PS2 Slim. It's a "gaming" computer "lite," basically, meaning it runs games like EQ2 no problem...IF you can keep it cool enough.
----------
 It's a double edged sword. I got a laptop with lots of space and a good graphics and sound card and big screen (17"), but, the cooling system for these motherfuckers sucks.

I'm sure you've heard, the 3ds has a gyroscope in it now, plus the old touch controls. Like a Wii remote. I personally thought that was much more interesting then the 3d side of things.
But I mostly agree, I honestly usually HATE using the wii's controllers for playing normal 'real' wii games. Super Mario Bro's is uncomfortable.. and I hate the numchuck business. I like my joystick and controller one solid entity. Not to mention they usually force me to play right handed, even though I'm left handed. Making it even more awkward.
I have no real oppinion on the Kinect or Move yet.
Like I said laptops are literally made to break down, no laptops out there have any form of cooling system except for adding a few fans. Which is laughable for the power they try to pack into them. And I meant replacing the fan in the cooling pad thingys. Inside them its just a normal computer fna, really cheap to replace.

My flatmate has a Kinect. It's strangely awesome. I like it a lot better than I thought I would. A lot better than the Wii, actually. >3>
That's not to say that it isn't extremely clunky sometimes. I hate navigating the home screen menus with it. But in games, it's pretty schweet, and ours is getting pretty good at telling who is who (signing us in automatically by looking at us, basically).

The only thing stopping me from having a Kinect is that there's only 4 games out, I'd rather wait for something awesome to come out and have a chance of buying the Kinect used/slightly cheaper. No point in buying it now and only having some wii-like or dance games.
I actually turned my mother down for buying me one for Christmas. I ended up getting boned and only got one game instead. -.- *rant* I spent an hour arguing with her not to buy a 150$ item + everything else in the store, but they ended up getting a use $20 game. BS! *rant*

Adventures and Sports are really fun. Kinect sports is way better than Wii sports; the motions for copycat games (like bowling and boxing) are better and there's more games in general to play (like a whole track and field arena with a bunch of different events, like discus and long jump and hurdles...).
I really do like Wii Resort though, but only because it has so much bonus stuff to try to find and unlock.

Actually for a lot of games I think you can set the controls to "right" or "left" on the wii. At least for Zelda, I can play with the sword or the shield as my "right".
I'm ambidextrous with my right hand being more dominant (I can write with both hands and such, I just prefer my right because I'm more used to it) though so I didn't fuck with it.
I actually haven't looked into the new gens of shit at all. I'm not sure I want to yet.
I also love the nunchuck. :P It's so much more comfortable for me, lol.
