(gr T~T can we skip to a little later after dinner when Koinu goes outside and Cali comes up to her or something? or like he's fallowing her and she turns around and takes him down or something? I can't think right now XP )

Koinu sighed some as she walked out of the house and down to the nearby river. She had a few of her weapons with her now... Kitsune and Angel wanted her to stay safe and be prepared for anything so they had insisted that she keep weapons on her at all times now. She sighed a bit more as she sat on the bank of the river and gazed off into the water watching the fish jump and swim happily. Being a halfling and a kitsune she was used to being off by herself... she didn't really have any friends... the other two kids at the house really didn't count since they were more like family... and she didn't really count the military kids either cuz they were always too wary of Angel and Kitsune to come around her... it actually made her kinda sad to be honest.

Cali saw that Koinu was alone and went down to the river stealthily, he was much better now. He stayed in the bushes, having his sword and a crossbow on him, he was set in case he needed to fght. He watched as his mark sat there, it made him feel like he could relate, he never had friends, and he had to work harder than others to get the skills he had, he wasen't a natural or a prodigy, his own father wished he would die. He felt bad for having to kill her, he really didn't want to. He just walked out normally and sat at the bank quietly, he had come her from time to time. He watched the water flow by him and got lost in the calming affect of it.

"You know if anyone in my family comes and sees you here they'll kill you... especially my mother and father..." Koinu said softly though didn't bother making a move towards him nor had she looked at him. She was still staring off into the water as if nothing was bothering her. "Ya know... kitsune's and halflings aren't really much different then humans and fullbloods.... we just have a few extra abilities... or weaknesses... we look a little different... but inside we're the same as everyone else... maybe not as stuck up since we're 'the lowest of the low' as I've heard people say before... really that's why my mother and my father used the military to try and fix the hunters association... because babies and pregnant woman and all types of other truly inosent people were being put on that list... I was on that list by the time I was only... less then a year old? How can a child do anything so horrible.... something that could get them killed for no real reason?.... why would anyone want to kill a child or someone who hasn't done anything? I mean... we're about the same age... if I were one of your friends you wouldn't want to kill me right?" she said quietly then asked the last part as she looked over to Cali and slight tears were in her eyes... she didn't like the thought of having been on the list since she was born... and knowing several others were the exact same way... why? For what good reason would ANYONE do that?

(Koinu's a bit more emotional then Kitsune XD she's still young and innocent XD she's never killed before XP )

He heard her talking and looked at her, no emotion showing. "You have a point, those on the list should be criminals, not just anyone because they're freaks in the eyes of the 'normal'. If you were my friend, I'd hide you, try and protect you. But I really don't know you, I have killed a few on the list but only took those that I knew to be bad, and I don't know why I took you as a target. I did recognize your name and figured I could get two for one, but spying on your family has showed me that I did because I was jealous of you." He shouldn't be doing this, but he couldn't help himself.

Koinu looked at Cali quietly for a moment before sighing. "Momma only did bad things after she was on the list.... she got put on the list for 'stealing' a peace of bread... I don't think she stole it I think that someone gave it to her but I can't remember... after that she was kept on the list because she killed the hunters that were after her out of self defence... why would you want to go against the military though? You do know my father is seriously thinking on killing the hunters that have went against the new laws in place right?" she said softly looking at him a bit worriedly. She didn't want anyone to be hurt... even him... even though he tried to hurt her.

"I don't care." he said. "I need my father to recognize me, to stop wishing I was a bad dream. My brothers always got things in seconds, it's taken me years to get as good as they are, they were always the naturals, against the laws or not I need to prove to my father that I'm not just a bad dream." he said tears sneaking past his emotional mask. "You don't get what it feels like to not even have your family care about wheather you lived or died."

"If you continue though my father will kill you... what if you found a new place where people would care for you and about you? Without putting your own life at risk?" Koinu asked softly with soft eyes and uncurled thinking on moving over to give Cali a hug. She was a very sweet girl really... she cared about everyone until they gave her a reason not to... and his story and tearful eyes made her sad and want to help him... or at least give him a hug.

Cali looks at her. "There is no where, I'd be labled in such a way that no body cares for me if I don't succeed. Though If it came down to it, a quick death from your fathers hands or a life of suffering I'd choose being killed by your father." he said, though didn't move. tears continued to slip away from his control as he thought of how lonely he really was.

"If you stopped trying to kill me and my family... my father would have no reason to kill you... you could stay with the military or... with me and my family... but... that's if you're good and my dad says it's okay..." Koinu said softly knowing that Angel could look into Cali's soul to see if he was purehearted or not and if he wasn't then she supposed he would do something about it or something... she wasn't sure.

He smiles. "Thanks for the offer." he said then all of a sudden had his crossbow out pointed at her with a sure hand. "But I don't think that I'll need to once you stop breathing." he said his eyes showing a determination, though he wasen't really so sure about this. "Now if you would stay there and make this easy on both of us I would prefer it that way. As bad as my family was to me I'm not desperate enough for hand-outs from strangers." he said as he shot aimed at her leg. His bolt tips sent a firey pain through his victims.

"You idiot!" Koinu screached as she felt the arrow hit her leg though she would make sure that was the only one he could shoot. She quickly pulled out a hidden long sword she had and it glew a bright red as she swiped quickly and chopped his bow in half. "Don't you understand that we just want to be left alone?! Can't you understand that this will be the end of you!?" she hissed as she swung around and kicked him with her steal towed boots and her boot knife. "I haven't done anything wrong! Neither has my mother... until she was forced to... and you're making me want to make a bad mistake." she hissed darkly the arrow still burning but she couldn't remove it right now... too painful.

He saw his crossbow gt slashed though he had others and barely felt the kick. "It's not that I want to it's that I need to." he said pulling his sword out, his energy being felt by the sword, his sword could get stronger with how hurt he was, and how much adreniline went through him. "I see you've gotten trained by your feeble old man." Just then Angel comes from the trees. "Son, you've got quite a fight on your hands, i'd be careful what you do, if you win without killing my daughter I'll think about letting you keep your life." Cali looks at him cautiously, and readies his sword for the fight that he couldn't avoid at this time.

"Poppa?" Koinu was a little surprised.... though at the same time knew that he would know something was up. She slowly grabbed the arrow that was in her knee and bit her bottom lip as she quickly yanked it out holding back the cry. She soon healed conpletely... well other then the fracture that it left in her knee, and stood. She pulled out her other longsword and growled darkly at Cali. There was a reason she wasn't dead yet, and that was first demonstrated when she was only a year old. If her emotions ever flared she was very dangerous... it was one reason why she was kept happy most of the time... or at least her parents tried... they tried to make sure she never got really upset. "I was trying to be nice! Now either stand and fight like a man or try and run with your tail between your legs and see what happens!" her voice was dark and her body glowed with a dark esence, her eyes turning a bright purple showing clearly that she had ALLOT of untapped powers... powers she was only able to train with at the army camp with trusted guards.

"Yes dear, I've trianed you, so I know you'll be fine." Angel said. Cali stared at her. "I won't run, I have a chance to beat you at least, I will take that chance." he said. He pulled out another sword like his first. "Lets go, lets see what this old elemental taught you." he said undaunted by her power showing.

"Then bring it!" Koinu said darkly to Cali after nodding to her father, she was pissed and you don't get an elemental pissed... it never ended well. She knew she could learn allot just from the first move of a fight, she had been taught that by her father and mother.

He knew that take the first move could be the best or worst thing to do, he was sure that in this case it was the worst, but she wasen't going to start it. He made the first move and slashed with one sword for her had and stabbed with the other, he wouldn't kill obviously, but he would get things started.

Koinu easilly dogded both attacks then swiped down low with her sword which sent a shock-wave through the earth around Calli. The air around the girl seemed to ripple and twist around her. Her true power was psychic though the way it worked was making it look like she had more of an elemental power... really the few ways to get really close was if she got hit in the head... if that were to happen then her powers would either backfire or cause her to be a bit immobile though it would not truly hurt her... just give her a very bad headache. That is, if he figured it out and found a way to get through her powers.

He used his amplified streght from adrenaline to block this and move in closer. He went for and attack of her head while he had the chance, he got the hit and hoped this would do something in his favor.

Koinu's eyes became wide as she saw him move swiftly behind her and didn't like that at all. She gasped when she felt him hit the back of her head and immediately her powers receded and knocked her off her feet... it was clear that she was now having trouble with her concentration and powers... when her powers receded like this it really did a number on her.

"I see, you have a huge achilies heel. I might have thought as much." he said feeling relief that that did something in his favor. He placed the edge of his sword at her throat. "I can take your life in one swift move, but I don't think I will, self preservation is stopping me." he said removing the sword and sheathing both swords. He sat beside her. "You were a little tougher then I thought you would be. You know what...I'm sorry." he said then got up and left. Angel pndered what he could mean by this. He could tell but he wouldn't. He walked over to his daughter and looked at her neck, not a scratch, he could have even left a cut as a threat but didn't. He sat there waiting for his daughter to recover some.

Koinu was still holding her head when she felt the cold mettle against her neck though then felt it pull away without leaving a scratch. She looked out of the corner or her eyes at Calli and was surprised when he said he was sorry then vanished. She then saw her father sitting next to her and heard her mother leave the house and come over to them. She then felt and saw her mother put her hand on her head and soon the headache from her powers were gone thanks to Kitsune's sensory/healing powers that she had been working on for quite some time. "What happened?" Kitsune asked Angel softly and a bit worriedly hoping that her baby girl hadn't gotten hurt.

"You missed it, our girl fought off the assassin, I had complete faith that she could, though I was ready to jump in when he had his blade to her throat I could have stopped him If needed then he apologized and walked off." he said. "I'm proud of you honey, very good, you need to work on protecting that weak spot of yours more and your golden." he said happy that she wasen't hurt. "I was here honey, I wouldn't let that assassin kill our daughter, though I can sense his thinking is beginning to change. Back at hs hideout Cali was going insane between two wants.

"Oh good job sweetie! Ya know... the first hunter that managed to take me down I ended up falling in love with." Kitsune teased a bit witch made Koinu blush some at the thought.
