A masterpiece of hand-drawn movies.

The Secret of Kells - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I LOVE this movie, the artwork has such details to it, and the use of colours and symbols is just wonderful.

My favourite character is Pangur- Ban, such a cute little kitty. I have a weakness for animals mind you, but I liked his hexed eyes and his snobby but loving attitude.
He is actually based on the cat found in the pages of the real Book of Kells - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, no one knows who this cat is but it keeps appearing. I thought that was interesting.

- Have you seen this film?
- What did you think of it?
- Who is your favourite character and why?

I loved this movie~ It was very unique and a refreshing change from the typical animated features out right now.
I especially loved the visuals and characters.

So, I definitely liked Aisling the most, but I loved the main character too!
He was so sweet and a refreshing change from the typical main character in animated movies.

I didn't really care for Brendan, little kids tend to piss me off for some reason

especially when they are walking with a chich who can TURN INTO MIST among other things, and he insists Crom doesn't exsist because it's just a story.

WTF Brendan? Aren't albino girls who can shapeshift in stories as well? She is standing next to you, but Crom doesn't exist because the Abbot says he's just a story?

Idiot XD

But yeah, he's a sweet kid.

I just watched this film the past weekend and it is FANTASTIC! One of the best movies I have seen all year, hands down. I loved the music most, and the details in the artwork were beautiful. My favorite character was Pangar Ban, I have a total soft spot for cats and his face was just so darn expressive. Brother Aiden is a close second, I loved his Merlinesque presence.

I loved Pangur Ban as well and Aisling was a close second. It was a fantastic movie and I wish there were more like it.

Oh, I saw this film awhile ago and was blown away. The visuals are just so gorgeous, and i wish I had a better grasp of my irish cultural-ness so the story would make more sense to me. It's funny how in most american kids movies when a mysterious old guy comes to a village and befriends a child, the old guy usually turns out to be some kind of scoundrel. I love pangar, but I liked all the characters quite a lot.

I think my favorite thing about the movie is how simple the animation looked, clean bold lines and such, and yet how intricate it all was.

By scoundrel don't you mean pedophile? XDDDDD

I just watched this on netflix! The animation (the drawing style) really threw me off, but after a while you got used to it. I think my favorite character was Ashley. And no, not just because we have the same name. I really like the plot, but I haven't made the effort to find out about what it was based off of yet.
