I have two predicaments I would love to have some help with. They aren't my only problems, I sure as hell have much worse problems. But those problems are way too complicated and silly to bother with right now, like being happy and such.

~| PREDICAMENT I |~
Soft skin. I've been trying to have softer skin for a while now, I just find it such an attractive attribute. My skin has gotten a lot better than it was but it still needs a lot of work. I would love some lovely tips from anyone who has tips to give!

~| PREDICAMENT II|~
Abdominal muscles. No, I'm not exactly wanting to have better abdominals for any particular sport or anything particularly useful, and if I did they're already good enough for that. I do want better abdominals though. They make people look sexy RAWR. So, I was wondering if anybody had tips in that department? I already have a bit more of a six pack on good days, and a bit less on bad days. (I don't know, sometimes there just more noticeable, te he)

I use hemp lotion and body wash. It moisturizes well and you can get it t any health store. It keeps my skin nice and soft. If you put lotion on right after you dry off after getting out of the shower, it seems to help. Also, drinking a lot of water helps instead of drinking sodas and other things like that.

As for the abs, I started doing crunches. It helps a lot. I've also started dancing again too and that helps build up the abs too.

I always use body wash and the like, but I haven't tried lotion.

About abs, I already do a pretty large amount of crunchies and sit ups and other things and also dance.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

I lotioned every day for three months, so my skin is like perma soft now *giggles* Now I lotion after every shower, it keeps the moisture from the water in and the softness from the lotion.

and abs, yeah, all I do is crunches, sit ups, dancing, and some yoga.

Defined abs are caused through a complete lack of fat and dehydration.
They're not healthy.

But, if you want them, my advice would be work out your abs like crazy, and cut out ALL junk food, and make sure to burn off all those calories in everything you eat. Oh, and foods with a lot of protein are good for building muscle.

Abs will not be made via crunches. They're just not that effective.

My boyfriend taught me a great ab-rocking move that I'll share with you.

<-- This guy has poor form. Your butt should be off the bench if you can do it.

Lay down on a bench (the kind you've got at the gym), and slide to the bottom of the bench so your butt hangs over the end. Grab the bench behind your head and extend your legs out straight. Bring your legs up and over your head. Bring them back down so they -almost- touch the floor, but not quite. Repeat for a total of 5 reps. Do three sets of five.

If you do these every day, or as much as you can (I always have to wait a couple of days between because my abs kill me), you'll have great abs in no time. That's the easy way to do it. Once you master this, there's more hardcore stuff you can do, but this is the easiest thing to start with, and it's WAYYYYY more effective than doing hundreds of crunches.

As for soft skin, find an exfoliating body wash/scrub to use in the shower/bath and be sure to put on lotion before your skin dries completely after your bath/shower. :D That helps lock in the water left on your skin.

I agree with Mystic about the hemp lotion. Where I live, it is kind of expensive, even for a small bottle. But it's totally worth it. I LOVE it. It really makes dry, tight skin REALLLLLY soft. I had to use it on my face after a acne cleansing scrub made my skin dry and flake. It really works well. AND it smells really good.

A healthy diet will do wonders for your skin. Also, a lot of people absolutely swear by not using any lotions and creams since they only make your skin dependent on them, and that much more dry when you don't use them.

For soft skin I use body wash, because I frankly don't like soap and body wash often has more nutrients and vitamins to make skin softer. Also, every once in a while (depending on my mood) I use a body scrub which leaves my skin so amazingly soft. I can't tell you what type is best, because I use one that my sister makes. I've only used it once since I have had it, but it has amazing effects. Everyone once a month or so you should have a little beauty blow out at home. Do everything you usually do, shampoo and condition hair, shave, etc., but more as well. Use a body scrub and body wash after in shower, apply body butter or lotion after shaving and after shower. Shaving dries your skin out, especially if you only do it with water and without soap or anything of the like. Lotion is better than body butter because lotion moisturizes and soaks into the skin more, but either is good. Aveeno is a great brand.

For abdominals:
If you have an iPod touch or iPhone, a great app to download is the Daily Ab Workout. It costs 99 cents and features two workouts which consist of 10 exercises. You can take pauses when needed, and they are all ones that you can do without any work out equipment. If you don't want to pay for it there is a free version that features only one of the workouts. Trust me, I did one of the workouts and my abs were so sore, but I could feel it working. Googling and looking up workout videos on Youtube is easy as well, but if you want a really good one than you may have to look for a while. Remember to breathe while exercising. As weird as it sounds, some people hold their breath and you can pass out from doing this. Drink lots of water while exercising and playing good, upbeat workout music always helps!
